Never underestimate a group of kids and their will to survive.

The threat of the Murk is now put to rest . . . Or is it?

Thirteen-year-old Sheena Meyer and her friends were victorious in rescuing her guardian angel. They even gained a new member to the team, Logan. There is something mysterious about the boy, and Sheena is determined to find out what he’s hiding.

In this fifth installment of the Sheena Meyer series, Sheena must unravel the mystery of the City of Gleamers.

Muskegon was once filled with gleamers like her. Those who glowed and had special gifts. But what happened to them?

She is caught in the middle of an eternal battle and must confront the past in order to prevent what’s coming. And it’s coming for her.

City of Gleamers is the fifth book in the Sheena Meyer series, in which a diverse group of middle school students come together to fight a centuries-old evil with the help of angels.

The 5th book of the Sheena Meyer series is an absolute joy for me to read! It's fascinating and quite addicting! Even though I am not completely done reading this book yet, I am thoroughly enjoying it. It keeps getting better the more I read.

This book is an equal mix of suspense and humor. I find myself constantly laughing at the banter and interactions among the characters. At the same time, I'm also gasping at the action and suspense. I've found this book - and the series in general - to be one of my "comfort" books, and for that, I highly appreciate it.

And yes, L.B. Anne succeeded, once again, in making me attached to these characters (aka, Logan).

Darkness is growing and recruiting an army of teenagers

Sheena is slowly learning more about the City of Gleamers and the part they played in fighting off and trapping The Murk. She is learning how the evil feeds off the fear and how she needs to trust those The Son has sent to protect and fight with her. However, there is still much that she has not been told and she is shocked at what she hears when Logan and her father are arguing about what she has not been told. She runs out of the house in the cold and is confronted by Drake who is controlled by The Murk. Where are her protectors . . .the team that is to fight at her side???

Another Awesome Gleamer Tale!

I LOVE the characters in this series SO MUCH! I’ll be 50 on September 1st 2022, but my mind still does the teen-thing at times so I relate better to the teens and their mindsets than I do the adults. 😳 It’s crazy, but I’m all in with Sheena and her spiritual helpers! Gleamers are the reflectors of the Light… we ALL need to let our Gleamer selves outshine the murk! 🌟

The whole series.

I can not get enough of this series.

I am a Mom of 3 and I'm reading this whole series before my oldest daughter, who is 12, does. This is the first series she has gotten into with me. Very easy reading and just a great read that keeps going. I don't even want to put them down.

I loved the book it was very interesting and I loved the descriptions of what was happening. It also was very sad but happy at the same time and also I loved how they all worked together. I hope that whoever reads this enjoys this as much as I did.

I would recommend the rest of the books as well because they are very interesting and really heartwarming.

"Waiting increases fear"

OMG 😲 SOOO COOL. Can't believe. This volume was full of beautiful quotes and exciting events. I loved when Theodore called the others to protect Sheena. And also in that museum and basement episode? It was really cool episode.

I think I've rated all of the books in this series three stars, but I feel like this one is the one that was closest to a four star. I can probably remember the most from this one.

I liked this book but it's kinda slow paced sometimes and it just wasn't that good.
