Holy fucking hell.

Look - I've read a lot of fanfics. Especially in the last 6 years, where fanfic=therapy (scientifically proven fact). This was exceptional.

Its both an intense look at how choices can shape our life and how chance is the only real magic that can't be circumvented.

Would Hermione always feel a need to prove the validity of her existence in the Wizarding World--even if Voldemort never existed?

In a Wizarding World without blood supremacy allowing prejudice thrive, would that mean Purebloods would be better?

Who is Hermione if not the brains that save Ron and Harry? Who is Harry if not the Boy-Who-Lived? Is Hogwarts ACTUALLY safe in any timeline ever?

CC seeks to answer those questions and more. Sometimes the answers are uncomfortable to be honest. AU!Draco makes a lot of good points about the lengths he'd go to in Malfoy's position. AU!Hermione is forced to reckon with that knowledge as she slowly sees what the toll Granger has taken on.

Granger has to face whether her association with Harry truly was inevitable or if it was a product of circumstances. And if that answer made her feel relieved or sad.

Honestly this is god-tier. Fuck if you don't like Dramione, that's practically a background thought to be honest. Yes their budding relationship is a catalyst, but at no point is it EASY or out of character.

Really interesting AU dramione, well executed but felt slightly rushed. Loved it nonetheless.

Nice and quick read with satisfying ending. Because of the circumstances of their timeline, the main characters were very different and I found out I don’t like a completely nice and happy Draco lol. I much rather liked “Malfoy” and the love story from that universe felt more intense and emotional.

Although I’m not typically drawn to science fiction, I find myself in a rather philosophical mood and extremely drawn into the intriguing concept and world this author created. A multiverse world in which two characters meet themselves in another timeline, and through meeting each other, learn and help themselves grow. Although somewhat abstract at moments, I love the amount of food for thought this story has provided me about what events in my own life I have let happen to me and shape me (and what have I had no control over)? What choices have I made that impacted my life? If I were to meet another version of myself, how would I perhaps be similar or different?

What I think I liked most about this story is the way in which both characters (of the same person) admired and were inspired by the other - one for her self reliance and kindness, the other for her resilience and grit; as well as the fact that they recognized and accepted each other’s faults. How the story sparked self reflection in the characters, forced them out of their comfort zones, and ultimately made them strive for better self awareness and ambition was expertly penned.

Makes one wonder… what would you have been like had certain key moments in your life not happened, or had you made a different choice? How different would you be… and is that someone you’d want to be? Ultimately, I suppose that is the question that haunts us all.

An interesting take on the multiverse. Do to a mistake at the Ministry, Hermoine and Draco travel to a different parallel timeline. So we get to see the events of Deathly Hallows play out from both a different perspective, and with changes due to the timelines converging. There are 2 Dracos and 2 Hermoines in this story, and we get to see how they were shaped differently in their different timelines.

Overall a really cool concept, and it was executed well.
I didn't feel super attached to any of the characters unfortunately, but there is a lot of plot and moving parts. I also think just generally I am a fan of a really grey Draco, and this Draco was raised in a world without the extreme hatred and prejudice we are used to in the HP world.

Cute and quick read. I loved the concept. I just didn’t feel overly attached to any of the characters from either timeline, which felt a bit disappointing

I enjoyed the plot for what is was, but there were plot holes and events that were skated over. Punctuation errors pretty common throughout.

Dramione
This is a fun one, and I needed this after the cold vibe of "Broken."

D&H are from an AU where V doesn't exist, and they travel to the Canon universe as H is being tortured by Bellatrix. D&H and Malfoy escape with unconscious Granger, diverting from the Canon story.

I haven't really thought much because this is just a fun story. It's not deep. It's not thought provoking, it's just fun and kind of cute.

It makes sense that Drako and Hermione got together. They don't have that history. They have some similarities, and it makes sense that they got together. Granger and Malfoy, on the other hand, have a lot more to work through.

I do like that Malfoy is addressing that Granger has been through a trauma with Bellatrix, she's weak physically and magically and he's the only one who tries to protect her, even from becoming her with the Polyjuice. She's sees (perhaps) how Ron didn't see to protecting her in that way, and she sees the appeal in him thinking about her well-being.

It's fun seeing the story diverge from cannon. For example, stabbing the cup/horcrux with the basilisk tooth and almost nothing happening. Ron's comment, "That's it?" "What did you expect?""something else."

I don't really care about the trial stuff. First lull in the story. Too much focus on navigating and prepping for the trial. Less focused on the characters. The character focused story lines are always better for me.

The Harry/time turner thing at the end was rushed. The explanation of the title of the book in the last 3 sentences was rushed. But, whatever, this was a fun story. Good enough.

This was such a unique story. I am obsessed with the concept of a much more naïve, sheltered, and non-voldy traumatized Draco and Hermione turning up in the canon timeline to help defeat Voldy with the Draco and Hermione we know and love. It was so fundamentally different from any other fic I've read, while also feeling like I was back in the nostalgic timeline.

Watching my favorite babies experience who and what they could have been in a world without the war and choosing to become better versions of themselves because of the existence of sheltered D&H was peak character development. And watching sheltered Draco's mind explode at daddy Lucius being an bootlicking bigot was peak humor.

Theo will always and forever be my favorite side character. "I want to be the patron saint of something good, like motorbikes or roast potatoes. Not lost socks or, I don't know, accounting conventions."

This fic has the added benefit of watching TWO Draco & Hermione's fall hopelessly in love. "He fit himself around her like clay, pouring himself into the spaces her body had made for him, … , until she was sure by morning there would be no way to separate them: two broken things, remade."

Its been a while since I've devoured a story so quickly. It brings me hope that there are still hidden gems lying around that i have yet to uncover. Taking me out of my slump isn't easy, but this story has done it without even trying, with such beauty and grace.

I felt so involved and so a part of everyones lives in the story, it will be sad to leave it 🥺

I loved the clear comparison of how a love can burn between the two of them in different time lines and versions of themselves simultaneously. You can really compare and contrast how hard it truly is or was for them to go through what they did, because a shining example of how perfect their lives could have been was right there. I truly stand by the fact that Malfoy and Granger needed to see it in order to believe that they were worthy and deserving of a love like that and to be cared for. It had to be planted into their minds in order to bloom and grow. Another wonderful depiction of time. Thank you for this. Will never forget it. 💖

I loved this fic! A really good fic. Would re-read.

I love Cinnamon Roll Draco so much. He's soft and kind and funny. And even though this was a Hermione POV fic, I can still hear his inner monologues that I adore. Everything he could've been without the war.

I also still love foul-mouthed, menace to society, sarcastic Draco. The OG fav.

And the two Hermiones omgggg CHEF KISS. If this happens to me, my inner child would be healed. The way they talked to each other, uplifted and supported each other made me grief every time I was terrible to myself.

I loved the setting. Timeline/Timetravel AU set in cannon events shjadgkadkbhkabdhkda And the safe house!!!

In every world, fic, and timeline, Dramione is end game and the golden trio are friends. GIVE ME MORE!

This is the first fic where I actually liked Theo's character, and he cooks!

PS. Nottpott/Notter/Tharry is a ship I never knew I needed.

Gosh this was beautiful and intricate and thought provoking. I loved the ode to the dramione multiverse, brilliant and succinct in its delivery. There was something so precious about experiencing a version of draco & hermione untouched by the war, watching them fall in love just as surely as they’re thrown into another timeline. Then experiencing the granger & malfoy I know and love tentatively fall together and with an understanding they can only hold for each other. Gosh. It was poetic, really. For a relatively shorter fic this accomplished so much, and so well.

5⭐️ and easily a new favorite

something was missing for me in the writing style but this was still an enjoyable fic and i liked the concept of draco and hermione accidentally going to another timeline--the fact that they still fell in love with each other and not the versions of themselves from the other timelines was greatly appreciated bc i started reading a fic ages ago that did that and it made me really uncomfortable and i couldn't get into it
the last chapter about harry really got to me but i think that's bc anything sad happening to harry breaks my heart lol

This was so much more philosophical than I thought it'd be. At first I wasn't really feeling it and it was hard to get through the first couple of pages. But when the universe jump happened, things got interesting and fresh. A story I haven't read before. I do enjoy H & D a bit more broody and rude, which the war atmosphere provides usually, but having a counterpart that didn't have to live through it really brought to light how much choice and circumstances influence your life. I liked it. One of the better ones I've read in a while.

This is my first review, please be kind. For a smaller fic, it might be my most highlighted book that I’ve read. The prose is gorgeous

“He fit himself around her like clay, pouring himself into the spaces her body had made for him, his knee resting between her legs, elbow slotted tightly against her waist, forearm creeping beneath her neck to pull her closer, until she was sure by morning there would be no way to separate them: two broken things, remade.”

Listened to it via Spotify and ETLecho which was lovely, and really helped bring the characters to life.

I found I liked Malfoy/Granger better than Draco/Hermione as they had the trauma that makes for a more interesting character/plot. The ending was a bit lackluster and honestly more confusing and complicated than was entirely necessary. Spice was very mild.

Easily one of my best Dramione reads! I love the chemistry between the Malfoy and Granger. The slow burn is just *french kiss*.

I love how the author did not do Harry and Ron dirty. And I absolutely loved Malfoy's redemption arc here. I wish there was an epilogue for Malfoy and Granger as well though.

NottPott was such a fun bonus!

Not sure why i’ve gone and read another dramione fan fic but mrs king has put me on and i can’t stop 😫. this was so cute and fun and such an interesting concept but i wish the details of the last chapter were better flushed out instead of squished into one chapter. some more malfoy/granger romance would be appreciated although the draco/hermione stuff was super cute too!!

I didn’t really know what to expect with this book. I started reading it and got confused at first with the different time lines. Had to go back and reread so I wasn’t confusing characters. Then about a third of the way through I finally understood and could not put it down. I think it took me almost 3 months to read the first third of this book and a few days to finish it up.

This was a well-executed AU, with pretty interesting world-building and mirror characters. I wish the AU Draco and Hermione had a little more spark, but they were the way they were because of a well-thought-out plot device in the last chapter.

Quite a unique multiverse premise with two sets of Draco/ Hermione and Malfoy/ Granger. Interesting plot addressing issues of date/ free will, and nature versus nurture. Fast moving alternate book 7 plot.

Wow. I went into this with fairly low expectations. And for a while, I thought I might give it 3 stars. As the love was a little too instant. The writing style was confusing at times and not perfect. But I was actually so pleasantly surprised with the story! The ending was absolutely MIND BLOWING.
