Friends to fake date to lovers, can’t beat it. Well in my opinion you can’t beat it. Kelsey and Theo truly are sweet. Neither one of them wants anything more than friendship, but when they practice being in a relationship in order to fool his family and his ex at her wedding to his COUSIN, they start to fall into real feelings and attraction. I’m kind of obsessed with the fact that these two were so effortless. There is a smidge of angst, but it is definitely a smidge and nothing more.
If you’re looking for hot and sweet friends to lovers, with a fake relationship plot, then you need to pick Wedding Date up!

November 20, 2020Wedding Date is the LAST book in the Dating series - I'm sad it's over, but I can't wait for you all to read Theo and Kelsey's story! I love a good friends to lovers romance, though I rarely write them (I don't know why, it's one of my favorite tropes!), and it was such a joy watching. Theo and Kelsey fall in love. Even though they were down on love and relationships in general, these two were good for each other.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over & over expecting a different result, right? Um...Guilty 🙋♀️🤦♀️. Or perhaps I’m a wee bit of a masochist & don’t know it. OR both. & wanna know what’s a little more twisted? I’m a little curious about a novella I just heard about that’s connected to the series 🤦♀️.
I did enjoy Save the Date/book one & it’s still the best of the series. (Rate a Date/book 5 was okay too.) I really like the concept of how these books tie together. Every book since then however when I’m finished, I can’t shake the notion what I ended up getting wasn’t quite what MM’s selling. Maybe none more so than this book particularly. I suppose I could dissect a point by point laundry list of what didn’t work for me, but I think I’m going to end with this & stick with the two most problematic plot points for me.
— I just can’t get on board with the rationale of agreeing to be your cousin’s groomsman. THE same cousin that was sleeping with your fiancée (at the time) behind your back & is now marrying that ex-fiancée. THE same dumbass cousin who shows no remorse to this day for screwing your fiancée. Even more bizarre is his friend-already-in-the-process-of-becoming-new girlfriend encouraging him to do it as proof of being over the ex. Um, wha? That logic(which feels like a generous word here imo) was so stupid. I could kind of get behind attending to show you’re okay, but standing up for them? No dice!
— Secondly: romance, or should I say lack thereof? The plot was rather thin (& never developed to take advantage of what it could’ve been) & a good portion seemed to be more about their sexcapades than a romance.

It was juvenile and very shallow and superficial, with both our MCs focusing entirely on the looks, hot sex and not much else.
And I hated that.
Just like I hated pretty much everything in this book.
The 'friends to lovers' trope has to be done right.
This one wasn't.
I couldn't stand Kelsey, she was obviously drop dead gorgeous, ate non stop but had the body of a goddess, plus she was acting like she was missing a brain and so annoyed me nine ways to Sunday.
She was one of the heroines I stay clear of as they have absolutely nothing to offer.
Just like Kelsey.
Our dumb little Kelsey.
Theo wasn't much better.
He just had no personality, obviously was secretly lusting after our bimbo Kelsey and apparently his entire life revolved around work and how sexy and beautiful Kelsey was.
And not much else in between.
Their friendship was also a major disappointment and mostly reminded me of those among middle schoolers. And frankly, I just got bored with these two idiots.
This is clearly NOT a book for me.
I want depth, I want connection, I want to believe the characters are meant for each other.

I wasn't a big fan of either Kelsey or Todd/Tim/Tucker (sorry, I genuinely have forgotten his name even though I just read the last page seconds ago). Oh, it's Theo, I just glanced over to check.
Anyway, I didn't like them. The book really seemed to be about hot sex, and I hate that shit. The characters weren't all that strong; in fact, there were a lot of things I disliked about them. Their love story was weak. And I'm a sucker for best friends to lovers but this was more of a slightly-more-than-acquaintances to lovers. I also love a good fake relationship, but this barely qualified for that either. Basically, this is a forgettable book, and I will be lucky if I even remember what happened it an hour from now.
And I'm out.

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have to admit that my foray into Monica Murphy’s Dating Series began with her second to the last book, Rate A Date. And to be honest, I thought it was decent. While I loved Eleanor and Mitch’s chemistry, I had some issues with the pacing of the story, and I ended it not thinking I’d go further. Until I read a chapter from her most recent book, Wedding Date. We met her hero, Theo, in Rate A Date, when Eleanor’s friend, Kelsey, talks them into a date with Paul and Theo. We find out quickly that Theo is still pining for his ex-fiancee, Jessica, who cheated on him before their scheduled wedding date. Not ready for a relationship, Theo becomes friends with Eleanor and Kelsie instead. (His friend, Paul, however, is awful, and thankfully, we never read him again).
In Wedding Date, Kelsey and Theo have continued their friendship, meeting weekly for lunches or at business functions. They enjoy each other’s company and have a general compatibility that makes their time together easy. Neither of them is interested in a relationship, or so they say. When Theo receives a wedding invitation to his ex’s wedding (to his cousin, with whom she cheated), Kelsey encourages Theo to go...with her as his “pretend” girlfriend. Wedding Date becomes this sweet story about their journey to that moment and so much more.
While I struggled with Rate A Date, for me, Wedding Date was a fresh ocean breeze. I began reading this book concurrently with a very serious, heavy romance, and it easily provided me with a respite from that book. Theo and Kelsey have the three qualities you love in a romantic comedy: solidarity, steaminess, and sweetness. From the start, it is clear that Theo and Kelsey are fated for each other. Their companionship leaves them contented, even when they note their chemistry. Murphy does a superb job in this story balancing their friendship with their attraction. For me, this is often an area of her stories where I struggle. These two succumb to their attraction at just the right moment, and while they wrestle with it initially, they learn fairly quickly to accept it. It is other aspects of the story that cause the tension of their journey. I loved this about Wedding Date.
Additionally, the main word for this book is vulnerability. Kelsey struggles with sharing her private life. She’s had a difficult past, so her ability to expose herself to Theo and her larger girl group causes her problems. Similarly, given that Theo has been hurt, he too contends with accepting Kesley as a potential girlfriend. Murphy creates these sweet moments between them as they learn to become vulnerable with each other, and for me, it’s the best part of their story. It’s as though Murphy is pointing to the message of transparency in love for her readers.
Lastly, this is the last of Murphy’s Dating series, so this book wouldn’t be complete without the special group of women who support and love each other found in the other books of this series. There is so much beauty in their relationships, and Murphy illustrates that well in her epilogue for this book. If you have read this series thus far, then I know you will love the end of this book.

Wedding Date is the final book in the Dating Series and what a story to end with! I have been dying for Kelsey and Theo’s story from the moment I read them and I was not disappointed. This was such a fun, flirty and red hot romance with swoon worthy and heartfelt moments.
I adored Kelsey and Theo. Both were such easy to like characters and I was thoroughly invested in their story. I adored their friendship yet they had so much chemistry and had a heap of sexual tension. So much that it was palpable. These two were FIRE! And I was so excited to see where the couple’s relationship was headed. I swooned so hard over them, and couldn’t stop smiling as they fell in love.
I have loved this series and I’m sad to see it end but what a fitting conclusion to a throughly entertaining series. I really hope that there is a spin-off sometime in the future.

4.5 FLAMING HOT STARS.
There is just something about a good guy, isn't there? Well there is for me. I am a sucker for a good guy, give me all of them. We met Theo on the date from hell in Rate a Date, when he was fresh off his breakup with Jessica. He was down, depressed and let himself go. He doesn't hit it off with Eleanor, but him and Kelsey become fast friends. Neither of them are looking for a relationship, but a good friend is exactly what they need.
Kelsey is gorgeous, she's been told that her whole life, but she likes that Theo sees her for her and not just her good looks. When he asks her to pretend to be his girlfriend for his cousin's wedding to his EX, yes, his EX, she is all in on this revenge idea. She wants to help him show her all that she is missing.
Theo thinks there is no way that Kelsey could like him as more than a friend, she's so out of his league, but when lines start to blur, they have to decide if their friendship would be better as a relationship or if that would mess everything up.
Friends to lovers usually isn't my thing, but this was cute and very low angst, I do wish some of Kelsey's issues weren't skimmed over, that is why I took off half a star. Also, this book was HOT, scalding, flaming hot. Theo is a good boy by day but Kelsey brings out something in him that was hidden for years. He can be who he wants, and he wants to be with her, always her. Thanks to Valentine PR and Monica Murphy for an early copy of this book!

There’s nothing like a friends to more romance story to get all my #feels revved up and Wedding Date got all up in my feelings gloriously! This was such a fun story and it just sped by quickly! Monica developed their friendship from zero to sexy in such a unique and fulfilling way that I was engrossed in their story till the wee hours of the morning!
This is the last book in the series, and it made for a perfect rounding off to the series (read the book to find out how!). I didn’t find out about this series until it was already almost over so I got to binge-read the entire thing this past summer and it made this story even more poignant so if you haven’t read the series, now might be a good time to start!

What a feel good romance! This was super light, realistically low angst, but had no shortage of me completely devouring the book. The authors writing is simply addicting-and in sad to see this series come to a close. I really enjoyed every book-but this one was my favorite.
It was a totally quick read, because I felt myself completely running through it. The characters were perfectly developed, and the chemistry they possessed was just off the charts. We’ve sen Kelsey before in past books-so I already knew I loved her. This book just solidified my claim. She was totally genuine-and I’d really like to be besties with her. Theo.. gosh he makes me blush! His bedroom lingo was incomparable with any hero I’ve read! Monica knocked it out of the park!

Wedding Date is the perfect way to end the Dating series- it is sweet, hopeful, sexy, and SWOONY. This series has been a fast favorite of mine- it is just SO charming- the right balance of humor, sweetness, and steam, and the finale is everything you’ve come to love about this series...with what might be my favorite couple of the entire series!
Feisty and outgoing Kelsey is on a man-hiatus after a string of less than enjoyable dates. The only good thing that has come out of her disastrous blind date luck was meeting her new bestie, Theo- a man set up on a double blind date with her friend in Rate a Date. Theo has had even worse luck with dating than Kelsey- he’s spent the last few months as a sad puppy- broken hearted after he caught his fiancé cheating...with his cousin. YIKES. Even worse? Now he has to go to their wedding, but his adventurous bestie Kelsey decides a little revenge is in order for the happy bride- as she devises a plan to play Theo’s hot new girlfriend. Of course - this is a disaster waiting to happen since this opens up the window to explore the repressed attraction they have for each other. And things get HOT...but also messy...very quickly in this friends to lovers story.
Given the glimpses we’d already seen of Kelsey in prior books, I knew she would be a fun and different heroine- and I just ADORED her. On the surface, she’s the life of the party- open, flirty, fiery vivacious. But there is SO much to her- she’s got so many layers to uncover, so much depth. She ends up being a character full of beautiful contradictions- strong but vulnerable, sassy but sweet, demanding but incredibly loving and compassionate. I just LOVED her nuances. AND THEO? SWOOOOOOON. He’s the dreamiest of all the dating men, and I call dibs! He’s the perfect mix of sweet, chivalrous gentleman in the streets, HOT alpha in the sheets. He’s just an awesome guy- he’s charming, reliable, witty, and compassionate- a doting, generous, and loyal friend to Kelsey. But MAN is savagely sexy in the bedroom. LORD. I feel so hard for him. And the way he treats Kelsey and falls for her- UGH, my heart exploded. Both Theo and Kelsey on the surface have a lot going for them- Theo has a hugely successful career and has recovered from his heartbreak while Kelsey is building her own career and excuses confidence and self-assurance. But both bring this charming vulnerability and insecurity to their attraction to each other- Theo worried that the smokeshow Kelsey is out of his league and his average life, and Kelsey has encased her heart with walls- her fear of abandonment. Of course, what makes their relationship special is they see and understand each other- they are deeply connected, and it happened authentically, platonically even….and neither wants to lose that, but they can’t deny the chemistry.
What I have loved MOST about this amazing series is the character chemistry Monica creates. Love and dating- that SPARK? It’s chemistry, so I love that Monica has so carefully built it in each story. And oh my, this is some of her best. It is also different than some of the others because these two are already good friends- so we’re building on a strong connection that already exists, even though we don’t yet KNOW them- but Monica helps us see it, she creates the foundation, and then she gives them this really sexy, intense physical draw and combines it with the emotional vulnerability they share- the comfort and safety they give each other. And the sexy scenes?! HOLY HOTNESS- the hottest in the series, hands down! But it is their tender sweetness, the emotional intimacy these two share that really captured my heart. They are just SO adorable- I could not get enough of them. And, it is so lovely to see that the nice guy doesn’t always finish last.
Monica also treats us to some GREAT girl time with the delightful ladies that have made this series so special- just the icing on the delicious wedding cake. It is so great to check in on all our favorites, and see how their HEAs are working out...not to mention, they play a fabulous role in helping Kelsey find her chosen family, which added extra magic to her character arc.
I have LOVED this series and I hate to see it go- the perfect sweet and swoony romances with just a small dash of drama and radiating heartfelt charm that just makes my heart happy. Wedding Date was the perfect conclusion to a series that reminds that all it takes is ONE moment- one spark, that one person to find her HEA, even if it takes lots of dates to get there. The Dating series is full of hope and tenderness about the possibilities of love- how when you are least looking, where you least expect it, you’ll find it. And once you do, all you have to do is just lean into it- go for it, and everything else will work out. SWOON!!

Given the glimpses we’d already seen of Kelsey in prior books, I knew she would be a fun and different heroine- and I just ADORED her. On the surface, she’s the life of the party- open, flirty, fiery vivacious. But there is SO much to her- she’s got so many layers to uncover, so much depth. She ends up being a character full of beautiful contradictions- strong but vulnerable, sassy but sweet, demanding but incredibly loving and compassionate. I just LOVED her nuances. AND THEO? SWOOOOOOON. He’s the dreamiest of all the dating men, and I call dibs! He’s the perfect mix of sweet, chivalrous gentleman in the streets, HOT alpha in the sheets. He’s just an awesome guy- he’s charming, reliable, witty, and compassionate- a doting, generous, and loyal friend to Kelsey. But MAN is savagely sexy in the bedroom. LORD. I feel so hard for him. And the way he treats Kelsey and falls for her- UGH, my heart exploded. Both Theo and Kelsey on the surface have a lot going for them- Theo has a hugely successful career and has recovered from his heartbreak while Kelsey is building her own career and excuses confidence and self-assurance. But both bring this charming vulnerability and insecurity to their attraction to each other- Theo worried that the smokeshow Kelsey is out of his league and his average life, and Kelsey has encased her heart with walls- her fear of abandonment. Of course, what makes their relationship special is they see and understand each other- they are deeply connected, and it happened authentically, platonically even….and neither wants to lose that, but they can’t deny the chemistry.
What I have loved MOST about this amazing series is the character chemistry Monica creates. Love and dating- that SPARK? It’s chemistry, so I love that Monica has so carefully built it in each story. And oh my, this is some of her best. It is also different than some of the others because these two are already good friends- so we’re building on a strong connection that already exists, even though we don’t yet KNOW them- but Monica helps us see it, she creates the foundation, and then she gives them this really sexy, intense physical draw and combines it with the emotional vulnerability they share- the comfort and safety they give each other. And the sexy scenes?! HOLY HOTNESS- the hottest in the series, hands down! But it is their tender sweetness, the emotional intimacy these two share that really captured my heart. They are just SO adorable- I could not get enough of them. And, it is so lovely to see that the nice guy doesn’t always finish last.
Monica also treats us to some GREAT girl time with the delightful ladies that have made this series so special- just the icing on the delicious wedding cake. It is so great to check in on all our favorites, and see how their HEAs are working out...not to mention, they play a fabulous role in helping Kelsey find her chosen family, which added extra magic to her character arc.
I have LOVED this series and I hate to see it go- the perfect sweet and swoony romances with just a small dash of drama and radiating heartfelt charm that just makes my heart happy. Wedding Date was the perfect conclusion to a series that reminds that all it takes is ONE moment- one spark, that one person to find her HEA, even if it takes lots of dates to get there. The Dating series is full of hope and tenderness about the possibilities of love- how when you are least looking, where you least expect it, you’ll find it. And once you do, all you have to do is just lean into it- go for it, and everything else will work out. SWOON!!

I really enjoyed this series and I am sad to see it come to an end. Kelsey has not had any luck in the romance department. She has tried the dating apps and all they give her are duds. One good thing to come of her terrible experiences is her friendship with Theo. He was the friend of one her disastrous dates, and they ended up forming a solid friendship. Theo is still recovering from his awful breakup with his fiancée. When he receives an invitation to her wedding, he decides to go, but asks Kelsey to be his date and pretend that they are together. As they get their “act” in order, they begin to see each other in a different light. Just maybe they can make a relationship work. This was such a great story. I loved everything about it! Theo and Kelsey are so against getting involved, that it just snuck right up on them. As with the previous books, the friendship between Kelsey and her girlfriends is something to be envied. They always have each other’s backs and are great with advice; not to mention that they are absolutely hilarious!

This is a wonderful and romantic friends to lovers romance!
Stella does not trust enough to do loving and long term relationships. I wish I knew more about her family and her past.
She and Theo are good friends until they weren’t. They notice each other in a very sexual way. Once they realize they are falling for each other unfortunate situation happen.
But, it all works out and this is my favorite book in the series! I fell in love with Stella and Theo! And it’s free on Audible and would have been worth a credit either way!

5 WEDDING DATE STARS!! I am sad this is the last book in the Dating series....what a great series it has been. Kelsey and Theo will melt your readers in everyway possible....these two know how to turn the heat up. I think these two were my favorites in the series, they definitely ended the series with a bang. You must read this book and series...it is so worth the time and money.

This is a great fun upbeat rom com. It’s low angst and pretty straight to the point while not being boring. I loved this so much. The sex scenes are hottttt. Besides being hot, they also show the dichotomy between who a person can be in everyday life as opposed to in the sack. I really appreciated this and felt the author handled it so well. It felt real and not like a caricature. Most books fail to execute this as well.
Theo and Kelsey are a delight. Theo is the perfect book boyfriend while not being without fault. Kelsey is a likable character who challenges heteronormative views on sex w/o being cheap. The book balances modern feminism while also showing a woman desiring love like most of us. Kelsey and Theo slowly fall in love while walking out the fake dating trope. They are good friends who become so much more and it’s great to read. I love their version of this. It’s fun and so sweet.

I tried to like this book, I really did, but it just wasn’t for me. I feel like at every turn Kelsey’s beauty was mentioned…even by Kelsey herself! 🙄 Over it.
The female narrator, Felicity Munroe, sounded too young and I wasnt a fan of her take on the characters. The male narrator, Stephen Dexter, had an intriguing, sexy voice so his narrating definitely helped pass the time.

Book six in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I am happy to see Theo got a story in the series. Kelsey and Theo story is a friends to lovers/fake dating story. I thought that it was cute. Really enjoyed the family dynamic in the story. Overall good book.

Why would he want to watch his cousin marry the woman that was his fiancee when she cheated on Theo with that same cousin?! But to save face, he'll ask his good friend, Kelsey, to go with him and pretend to be his girlfriend. He can't think of anyone else he'd rather spend a day with.
Kelsey is in a no-relationship phase. Dating is awful and she really has no need of a man. But when her friend Theo asks a favor of her, begging with his gorgeous puppy dog eyes, she can't say no. Will this fake relationship be discovered to be real when in the face of all the wedding joy?
Theo and Kelsey are perfect for each other. I especially liked Theo with his sad but sweet personality. Kelsey was a great foil for him with her more sassy personality that was closed to intimacy with anyone, be it friends or lovers. Thank God the two of them were such good friends, because only someone who knew Kelsey as well as Theo would have been able to scale her walls and make his way into her heart.

Wedding Date by Monica Murphy was a swoonworthy and super steamy romance with lots of witty fun, deep emotions and feel good moments. It was a flirty, funny, steamy and emotional read that screms good time all the way.
Kelsey has sworn off men after a string of dating disasters. But one good thing came out of those dates. She got a new best friend. Theo. Who was also recovering from a bad breakup after he caught his fiance cheating with his cousin. Ouch, right? Now that cousin is getting married. And Kelsey devised the evil plan of going as Theo's fake date. But during the process, they somehow crossed the line of friendship and straight went into friends with benefits. Things are getting complicated.
Kelsey is a complex character but she is so simple at her core. Her early life has made her inherently insecure about relationships. Though her solid and rocking friendship with the girls has helped her but she still has abandonment issues. Theo is a great thing happening to her. Happy. Comfortable. Assuring. Super hot. But she doesn't want to mess up their precious friendship and lose it all. Theo is so in love and lust with Kelsey. Its absolutely amazing to read about his adoration, passion and respect. He has been burnt badly in love but Kelsey's sassy fierce personality is attracting him like a moth to the flame. Oh I love how Theo is calm and composed and gracious one moment. And the next moment we get to see his possessive dominating rougher side. They have this sweet and intense connection. They understand each other at a deeper level. These two are so adorable together. And the chemistry? SO FREAKING HOT! This story had some wild wild sex scenes! There were some complications but they worked out fine.

Kelsey and Theo are best friends for a while now. They had bonded over their common hatred towards love and relationships, after Theo's divorce. Now his ex is getting married to his cousin and he asks from her to escort him and they come to the idea of pretending to be together. Somehow they come closer to each other than any other time and their relationship is about to change. For better or for worse, only time and the circumstances will tell.
I didn't hate this book, but I didn't love it either. So, this was a case of "It's not you, it's me". I wasn't blown away by how things evolved between them and I thought that this was just another recycled story. I enjoyed it, but it's nothing special that will make this book stand out for me in the long way. Perhaps I just need another type of book at the moment, but this didn't do it for me and it's such a shame because friends to lovers and fake relationship are some of my top favorite tropes of romance.
Maybe if I had read the earlier books in the story, I would feel more connected to these characters or I would care more about them, but sadly I didn't. I'm sure that others will love it more than I did, so don't let me hold you away from this book.

This books closes the door on Monica Murphy’s Dating series and what a great story it is! I totally fell in love with Kelsey and Theo. It was great to catch up with all the Dating couples as well! Kelsey and Theo meet in less than perfect circumstances but quickly see respect, understanding, and acceptance in each other that they have been missing. They both have to learn to trust and have an amazing group of friends and family to guide them. This maybe my favorite story out of the series!

I was looking forward to Kelsey's book. Eversince that disastrous double date she met Theo. They've become good friends who hang out and they have a mutual hate. Theo was scorned by his ex and Kesley had a string of bad relationships. I like how they started and now that Theo has to attend his ex's wedding he asks Kelsey for help. It starts out as a fake relationship though.
Kelsey wants to go the extra mile when it comes to making the ex see Theo's moved on. So that spurs a little of the tension they hide out. As they get closer it's harder to deny the attraction even if they think it will ruin their good friendship. This feels like a fake relationship but not really? It's pretty cute though that the feelings sort of pop up when least expected.
Though we only see them in this book they sort have this built up. Kelsey has walls up high so she keeps people at arms length. Things get complicated when things blur also Kelsey receiving a promotion that could take her elsewhere. They need to work on communication for sure if they want to really move past the friends with benefits kind of thing.

As they get closer it's harder to deny the attraction even if they think it will ruin their good friendship. This feels like a fake relationship but not really? It's pretty cute though that the feelings sort of pop up when least expected.
Though we only see them in this book they sort have this built up. Kelsey has walls up high so she keeps people at arms length. Things get complicated when things blur also Kelsey receiving a promotion that could take her elsewhere. They need to work on communication for sure if they want to really move past the friends with benefits kind of thing.
Overall I enjoyed this one more since Kelsey was interesting. Theo had a big transformation from the last book, nice guys can finish first. Their story was pretty sweet. A conclusion for this girl gang that started out small. I did really like the setting of this series. I hope Theo's siblings get a spin off.

What’s your guilty pleasure?
These stories are my guilt pleasure. You know exactly where this is going and how it’s going to end, but what makes this different is the authors writing. The author's writing is addicting. The flirty tones, steamy scene, and chemistry between Kelsey and Theo made it hard to put this book down. There’s something entertaining to me when I read a trope like this. One where the only person getting in their way of a HEA is their own head.
Kelsey and Theo. What a couple! I was enamored from the beginning. There was an ease to their relationship and a familiarity that made them easy to connect with. I like how the author broke down the invisible wall and made the reader feel included in this story rather than an observer looking in. The way she writes the characters is as if you haven't had an open conversation with one of your friends. It doesn’t read at all like a story.
I enjoyed how unabashedly proud Kelsey is of herself. She comes from a colorful past and probably grew up too fast, but she owns it. She’s not ashamed of the things she has experienced, but instead embraces it, learned from it, and grew into this BA of a woman she is today. She doesn’t settle and she knows her worth and it’s completely empowering to see a strong female lead. Theo is a gem. He’s incredibly sweet and kind and has a bit of alpha male under his charming exterior. He’s a patient man who knew exactly how to handle Kelsey. He knew when to push or let her come to him on her own terms.
Don’t let this cover fool you. This book is steamy and it’s totally warranted because the chemistry is off the charts and the sexual tension sets the pages on fire. I had to take a moment between all the steamy scenes. This book isn’t for the faint of heart. I feel that in a romance book intimate scenes are a must. To see two characters share a moment where the tension can no longer be ignored. I think the key for me enjoying them is having just enough to make it interesting but not so much that it becomes vulgar and crass. For me this was one of the steamiest reads and it was so close to becoming just a bit too much, but the author never went as far as she could have and for that I’m grateful.
Though this is the last book in the series, to me this is the best one. It had all the elements that were missing for me in the other books before and I love how well the author wrapped this series.

4.5 Star Review of Wedding Date (Dating #6)by Monica Murphy
I have enjoyed the Dating series by Monica Murphy and as sad to start this book knowing that it is the last in this series. This is Kelsey and Theo’s friends to lovers story and is one I as invested in from the first to the last chapter.
Kelsey has had enough of dating and has sworn off dating, after all she doesn’t need the headaches that come with it. Theo has had his own heartache, after catching his ex cheating on him with his cousin and now they have invited him to their wedding.
In need of a date, Kelsey volunteers to be his pretend girlfriend, after all what could go wrong? I loved the dynamics of their relationship as their friendship turned to love. The attraction between them is real and if they are brave enough to admit that what started out as fake has become real then they may have a chance at lasting happiness.
The growth that both Kelsey and Theo went through in this sweet, romantic, yet steamy story was heart warming and was a fitting conclusion to an entertaining series.

YOWZA!
This book is H-O-T!
It has all of my kryptonites rolled into one.
It's a friends to lovers story. I love reading about the moments when the H/h start to see each other in a new way.
And I didn't realize who the hero was before I dove into it either. We met Theo in a previous book and he was kind of a.... dorky nice guy. But he turned right into a hottie.
If you like fake relationship type stories, then you'll like this one too. Theo gets invited to his ex-fiancee's wedding and Kelsey decides they are going to shake things up.
And finally, make sure you have a fan nearby because this might be one of the hottest books that I've read from Monica Murphy. Good GOD.... I was dyyiiiing.
