This was my first time in a long time reading a book by this author and I wasn’t disappointed. This was one of the first authors I read as a teenager and it felt good to read her work again. This novella definitely had a plot twist I wasn’t expecting and held my attend the whole book. If you need a book from the lengthy stand-alones then this is the one to check out!!!

Cleverly written short story with interesting characters.

No one wins
I don't condone cheating, period. And this fast moving story illustrates why people shouldn't cheat. Where hearts and emotions are involved, things can go out of control. And more than one person gets hurt. Some people can't handle hurt!
Despite my feelings about disloyalty, this was a good story with a good twist. The only thing I didn't like was Karma didn't come calling for all.

Harper was a bad b!tch and she seemed to play the game very well. She knew what she wanted and went after it. The whole situation with Mahoney and his wife was messed up. But in reality that's how it is. I can't be too mad with Harper she did what she was supposed to do, while making sure she got paid in the process. In the beginning I felt bad for both women but after reading to the end I don't. These are games people play, any and everything will have a consequence. Mahoney just didn't play the game right, facts! I enjoyed this wanted more.

Wow!
This was the first book that I’ve read by this author and I really enjoyed it. This short, straight to the point book kept my attention from beginning to end. Definitely did not expect that ending and I would love find out what happened to Harper and her baby. I’m also looking forward to reading more books by Joy Deja King!

Some people REALLY ARE just no good!
Harper, Mahoney and Lana fit the mold perfectly. I am NOT for: women that prey on unavailable men; women that stay in unhealthy situations; or men that KNOW they're unavailable but act like they're not and cause these unhealthy situations. If you're into that sort of thing then this story is for you!

Toxicity at its best
From start to finish, the toxicity was on point! Little Miss Hot-Tail Harper should’ve known that everything that meets the eye isn’t always best for the heart. Mahoney was quite over the top emotionally in his pursuit, but darn it if it wasn’t beautifully executed. A quick but entertaining read!!!

This book was great straight to the point and I loved it. I loved Harper with her spoiled ass and Mahoney and Lana a crazy ass love triangle but Harper showed she was willing to do what she had to do to keep Mahoney in her life. I loved the ending perfect....

Nice short read
This was a great read, a must read. It kept me intrigued and interested. I’d love to see more of these characters in the future. I recommend this book to others as with others by this author.

She did it again.
Short but sweet Deja is by far one if not my favorite author. I’ve read many of her books and never any disappointment. This was a good read. If you like shirt stories as I do, I suggest you read this one!!

A crazy story!
This book was crazy! Harper always looking for a come up, inserts herself into a married man's life and he ends up dead but the hands of his wife. It was a crazy read for sure! Not to find of gold digger ways, Harper sure wAs one!

Great Short Story
Harper finally found love and look where it landed. Mahoney fell completely in love with Harper and was ready to leave his wife. Lana was cold, she said not today. Harper pregnant with a deceased Mahoney baby, karma.
