Nectar is an erotic anthology of delicious, nourishing naughtiness, where each comic has at least one trans femme or non binary main character.
Our theme is Drink of the Divine. Refreshing interpretations of sublime spirits, indulgence in heavenly hedonism, and tales of frisky folklore and femmelore from the world over.
With content warnings before each story and at least one Own Voice contributor on each team, this smutty cocktail is perfect for those thirsty for their own resplendent romances.
This is the second anthology I've read by this editor and I think my favorite thing about them all is how diverse and inclusive they are. Not only in terms of gender and sexuality but of body size. Nowhere out there are you going to find an anthology that 3/4 of them have at least one mid-size or fat person in them. I'd say that at least half of them have a significantly fat character and very few have all straight-sized characters. It's so refreshing and encouraging as a fat person.
I'd say that there's probably three or four that I really really liked in this one and the others were okay. Only one of them I didn't really like the artwork or the story at all.
Just like Ambrosia, I’m living for the glorious diverse representation of sex and love and eroticism and queerness. Seeing so many different trans bodies and stories is a TREAT, so even if I don’t *love* every individual comic, the collection is so much greater than the sum of its parts.
nothing profound in this review - it’s just nice read trans intimacy :’) it’s pretty soft in terms of erotica, which i think makes it either a hot/interesting read or just an interesting read! not every story was like spectacular, but they were all different.
tldr: i discovered what an erotic anthology is and over-intellectualized sex again, that’s just my brand of autism ok /j
I really loved this volume. All the stories were a hit for me, and all brought a little joy (although sometimes bitter sweet).
I'm not personally of a Christian faith, but Adam & Eve by G.C Houle stood out as a really emotional and beautiful story. And the beautifully joyful Four Season by Andromeda Star and Alina Wahab was absolutely the perfect story to close out the volume.
I've always backed Tab Kimpton's anthology but something has changed in me in these past years.
Some of the story were really meh (the one about Queen Poseidon, for instance, or Witch's Promise); some were good (A Little Friendly Competition, Against the Tide, and C*&tsmith); some presented an interesting point of view. In the end I'm not completely satisfied with the anthology.
I was really impressed with this anthology! the pages before the comics that include info about the authors, content warnings and backstory on the comics really added a lot to the experience. there's also a wonderful amount of body diversity depicted in the different stories.
fave stories: Fey, Homecoming, Cream of the Crop, Come Forth My Muse, A Little Friendly Competition, Divine, Adam & Eve, Against the Tide, The Cuntsmith
this was a lot of fun! I'm really enjoying the vehicle of erotica comics as a way to explore identity - both transness and other facets of what makes people who they are. excited to read the companion volume!
favorites: a little friendly competition by nj barna adam + eve by gc houle against the tide by asahina nakama and tab kimpton four seasons by mx andromeda star and alina wahab
I mean, it said it was erotic...not sure why I was so surprised. This was a beautiful anthology. Short stories that were so inclusive in every way. That is where it shines, it's inclusivity and acceptance shining through different cultures, real and unreal.
Last Call: 4/5 Fey: 3/5 Homecoming: 3/5 Please, Priestess!: 2/5 Cream of the Crop: 4/5 Witch’s Promise: 3/5 Come Forth My Muse: 4/5 A Little Friendly Competition: 5/5 Divine: 5/5 Princex Tegan and the Demon of Love: 3/5 Adam & Eve: 4/5 Against the Tide: 4/5 Cuntsmith: 5/5 Four Seasons: 5/5
I love these anthologies so amazing and wonderful too I enjoy each one in turn and appreciate each comic story for what it brings forth. These would be good educational stories too and help educate others
I enjoyed this anthology a lot more than I expected to, probably in part because more of the stories I enjoyed most were close to the end of the book. Still it was more pleasant to see slightly longer story arcs than some other similar options.
