Absolutely love this new series. Each new hero/heroine is grittier than the last. This chapter finds Avery seeking out Ryder to help clear her name. It's a very personal request as she lost a brother and he lost his best friend. This book is fast paced and full of action and suspense. The story flowed really well and the characters are believable. Lots of memorable moments and lines, "when I'm inside her, it's like I see God", "Navy SEAL training couldn't break me, but you sure did", "We is greater than me", and finally, "You're like... sunlight". Totally got into these two characters and I was right there along with them on their adventure. Avery is one kick-ass woman.

On bad intel, Ryker Flynn and his seal team members are ambushed which resulted in the killing of his best friend as well as the rest of the team. Avery Archer is the CIA Analyst that provided the intel and his best friend's sister. When Avery receives an email about information that will clear her name, she reaches out to Ryker, the only person she trusts; he however, hates and blames her for the death of her brother and the team. Deciding to help uncover the truth, Ryker and Avery embark on an adventure that not only clears Avery's name but also helps them eliminate the guilt they've carried and find the HEA they both deserve.
Great narration by Jamie Kersey and Kenneth Elliott.
This book was so hard to put down. I am so happy that Ryker finally got his book, and what a book it was. Ryker and Avery were great together. These two have an amazing connection and chemistry. I loved how determine Avery was to get and keep Ryker even though he tried to her at arms length. There is so much drama, action, steam, love, pain but also strength in this entire book that I stayed up way too late trying to finish it; it had a hold of me and wouldn't let me go! I really hope that we go more from PS! I would HIGHLY recommend this book and this series!

Allow yourself a new life Very good romance around this plot in which the heroine, Avery, has lost everything, but she will try to clean her name with Ryker, the man who hates her the most…. or not. The story is very well written, full of twists and turns, very hot, complex between Colombian cartels, former CIA agents and heroes bruised by what they feel guilty about while discovering they were being manipulated. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
There was something darkly compelling about this book. I thought that this read was a far cry from the typical brother's best friend romance. Filled with raw emotions, sharp poignancy and an almost brutal intensity. Ryker and Avery's romance truly was one-two punch to your heart and your gut! You're going to love it but that won't ease the pain any. I'm posting an unbiased, unsolicited.
This is book 3 in the platinum security series. It will pull at your heart strings. The storyline is full of danger sabotage action suspense and mystery. You will not want to put it down. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC
Absolutely fantastic, amazing read. I love that Ryker got his own story and I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. I just couldn't put it down. Lovely characters, amazing story and great word building. The author writes beautiful stories. I received an ARC for my honest review
This was a riveting audiobook narrated by the talents of Jamie Kersey and Kenneth Elliott. This special ops CIA case involves betrayal and treason. It is fast-paced and action-packed. There were many twists and turns. it was well written with wonderful characters.
I loved the two previous stories, but Ryker and Avery are my favorite! Bursting with emotion, heat and lots of action with two broken characters who need each other to heal. Highly recommend!!
There are men and women, who every day, are asked upon enlistment and rank advancement, whether in uniform or a part of a covert agency, to solemnly swear that he or she “will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." By taking this oath, these men and women—and their families—understand that following that oath of allegiance may extract a cost from them that could alter life forever.
When Luke Archer and Ryker Flynn met after they enlisted in the Navy, and worked their way from BUDs to SEALS, their shared experiences helped to form a friendship of support that endured all the rigors of training and missions for over 10 years. And, when only child Ryker’s, parents were killed in a car accident, it was only natural for Luke to invite his fellow SEAL to join his family for holidays. And, it was only natural for Avery, Luke’s younger sister, to view her brother’s tall, handsome dark haired, brown eyed best friend with admiration. She so admired her SEALs and their service to their country that after college graduation, utilizing her agility in languages and skills of analysis, she applied and was accepted for CIA Career Analyst Program (CAP) following her brother’s path of service to their country.
What brother and sister never fully imagined, but always understood was possible, was that one day, blonde-haired, cornflower blue-eyed, tall, slim Avery, might be the analyst who would supply Luke and Ryker’s team with intel that would determine major decisions in the approach on a mission. Operation Armageddon should have been a very simple direct assault on a lightly defended estate of Antonio Castillo—a drug lord who also sold weapons to terrorists—located deep in the jungle outside of Bogota, Columbia. But the intel did not match what the SEAL team encountered—more than 80 tangos, were armed and waiting—the SEALs walked into a bloody massacre. And the whole team was killed, except for Ryker Flynn, who while badly wounded, determinedly carried his quickly fading best friend, Luke Archer, out of the jungle and to the extraction point. And, while Ryker survived, he was broken by the experience, especially when he learned the name of the CIA analyst who had provided the mission with the false and deadly intel—Avery Archer.
Now, 2 years later, both 32-year-old Avery and 34-year-old Ryker have separated from the branches of service where they were once so proud to serve. Avery resigned in shame, with a reputation tainted by the rumor of having passed on bad intel that led to the death of her own brother, Lucas. And, Ryker retired from the SEALs, presented with a Medal of Honor for his efforts, but broken by the death of his friends and the betrayal the woman whom he loved and trusted.
Needing to start over, Avery moved to LA and turned her skill of attention to detail to a new field—photography—where lives would not be lost if she made a mistake. She became a professional photographer, and had begun slowly to move her life in a new direction. Similarly, trying to rebuild his life, Ryker had relocated to LA and had joined two other men—Jaxston Wilder, a tattoo-covered, former member of the LA Police Department, Griff Lawson, a former CIA operative, to form Platinum Security. And recently, the firm had added another member, Harlow Vaughn, a former hacker with CIA experience.
But fate was not finished with the broken connections of Avery and Ryker. Without warning and from an individual who was only identified by the letter G, Avery received a message that she had been set up—that, the information her source had provided was passed on intentionally to destroy the mission. She had been used as a conduit for false information and her brother and his fellow SEALS who were on Operation Armageddon had died as a result. Seeking help to clear her name and to bring the culprit to justice, she reaches out and contacts Ryker for the first time in 2 years, Avery and Ryker have a reason to reconnect without anger. But, to discover the truth about Luke and Ryker’s last mission and challenge Avery’s role in its failure, the two must work together and return to the place where both best friend and sister’s worlds fell apart—Bogota, Columbia.
This dark romantic thriller is a departure from Kelly Myers’ romantic comedies, but Myers holds her own with the feel and verbal dialogue rhythms of the Film Noir detectives of the 40’s. Her characters are engaging, their back stories intriguing, and when in the same room, the temperature rises with the renewed pull between Avery and Ryker. I look forward to continuing the revelation of Rykers’s partners, Jaxston Wilder, a former member of the LAPD and Griff Lawson, a former CIA operative, both who need help in shedding the darkness of their past careers. And perhaps over time, new hire, cyber security expert and surfer of the dark web, Harlow Vaughn, who goes by the moniker Shadow Walker will continue to add her skills to the team and find love—so many possibilities!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review and but enjoyed reading it so much that I purchased a copy through Kindle.
Oh Wow what another incredible book by Kelly Myers. This is the 3rd book within this series and it is explosive!! Dark Sins is Ryker and Avery's story. These two have history a very complicated History....Ryker joined The Navy SEALS and Meets Luke they become best friends and so Ryker spends alot of time with Luke's family, including his little sister Avery. When Luke brings home his best friend Ryker,..Avery falls in love instantly and her crush on her brothers best friend begins.,,,Little does she know but Ryker feels the same but she is forbidden. Years go by and Avery joins the CIA trying to make her parents proud..but her world comes crashing down when she is made a scapegoat to a disasterous mission for the Navy SEALS. Unknowingly Avery gives the SEALS bad information and it leads to the team of Navy SEALS to perish including her brother Luke DEAD....There was one survivor Ryker Flynn...and he hates Avery blaming her for him losing his best friend and losing his team. Two years go by and Avery is a loner living a mundane life she has no-one she feels guilty for what happened and everyone blames her....until she is sent a mysterious message saying that it wasn't her fault at all that she was set up. This gives Avery hope and she is determined to clear her name and the only person she can think of to help her and who she trusts is Ryker.....The man she loves and the man who hates her. From that point on this story blossoms into a real adventure. If you love romantic suspense then this is the book and series for you...because there is so much action, intrigue and alot of steam. Avery and Ryker are smokin HOT The sexual tension between them is electric and they are perfect for eachother. Ryker has become a broken man he has outer scars and inner scars the mission has haunted him and he blames himself for not being able to save Luke and his team.He has survivors guilt and PTSD and weirdly being with Avery calms him and he agrees to help her clear her name. Avery's quiet life suddenly gets turned upside down and shaken to its core...she is thrust into a world of lies, deception, danger, guns, jumping into waterfalls, being shot at and choked and all of a sudden she is turned into a different person,a brave risk taking fighter. She becomes a bad ass thats for sure and as she spends time with Ryker as they side by side take on the bad guys she falls deeper in love. I think Ryker is surprised at Avery's strength and courage he sees her in a different light and falls in love with her and the chemistry they have is impossible to ignore. I am loving this series of books they are AMAZING..They are like movies and listening to them is addcitive I couldn't stop. Jamie Kersey and Kenneth Elliott are absolutely brilliant in every way narrating this story, and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to their voices. They are really talented and I am so glad I listened to the audiobook it was a delight. I adore Kelly Myers writing sometimes with romantic suspense when they have a big storyline to follow...I for one can become confused and can't follow all the characters and who they are and what they have to do with the story...But Kelly's writing is so clear and easy to follow the story line and it is simple to understand it. Dark Sins is a Magnificent read or listen whichever way you chose to indulge this story you will not regret it and you will soon become captivated. Excellent book. 5 stars.
A Gripping & Emotional Romantic Suspense! Great Story & Narration🎧
Dark Sins Platinum Security, Book 3 By: Kelly Myers Narrated by: Jamie Kersey, Kenneth Elliott
Kelly Myers pens another fantastic novel set in her “Platinum Security” series and it is an action-packed romantic suspense that grabs your attention right from the start and holds it captive for the entire book. Each book in the series features a different member of Platinum Security and can be enjoyed as a standalone. Some characters crossover from other books, but everything you need to know about them is included in the descriptive details. This book is Ryker Flynn and Avery Archer’s story and what a story it is. Ryker is a former Navy Seal, a sole survivor of a mission that went wrong. He not only lost his entire team that day, but his best friend, Luke Archer, too. The reason the mission turned out badly was because the CIA’s information was all wrong and it was Avery Archer, CIA agent and Luke’s sister who fed their team that information. She was devastated by that, and heartbroken by the loss of her brother and the look of hatred Ryker had for her at Luke’s funeral. She left the CIA and now, two years later, she receives a call telling her it was a setup and she was a scapegoat and the caller has proof. This cryptic caller wants her to meet in person, but it is in the same country where her brother died. She wants nothing more than to clear her name and the only person she trusts to help her is Ryker, but she is not sure if he would hear her out. Ryker did not want to hear her out, but had second thoughts and agreed to help. Informing the others at Platinum Security, he and Avery set off to meet this person, and the intel leads them to the same drug cartel Ryker’s team was trying to take down. There is never a dull moment in this book and once again the world building and plotting is fantastic and the drama is nonstop. Despite all Ryker has been through, he is still a bad arse and Avery could hold her own, too. Kelly Myers, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧And for the fabulous narration, Jamie Kersey and Kenneth Elliott continue to do an amazing job bringing these characters and story to life. Their portrayal of the characters is spot on and they are believable in every role they play. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into his performance. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fantastic listen.
This book is so well written with well developed characters and a compelling storyline that it just grabs you from the very beginning. 'Dark Sins' by Kelly Myers centers around the story of Avery and Ryker, their loss and how they help each other.
Avery, a former CIA analyst now photographer doing weddings, engagements, and other life moments, has never quite forgiven herself for causing the loss of her brother's life as well as his teammates. Well, except for one survivor, who was also her brother's best friend, Ryker Flynn. Avery lost her job, her brother, her family, and her self respect because of the incident. Recently she has come across some new intelligence regarding the CIA/Navy Seal op, but she needs help to track down the information. Can she dare ask the sole survivor and her brother's former best friend for help?
Ryker Flynn, former Navy Seal and Luke's best friend, was the sole survivor of the botched op that Avery was in charge of, which caused Luke's death along with Ryker's other seal brothers. Ryker was medically discharged from the Navy. He has suffered PTSD and recurring nightmares ever since the event. Additionally the survivor's guilt is killing him. When Avery calls to ask for his help he is not sure what he should do.
Ms. Myers has written a fabulous book. There is so much chemistry between the main characters, that one can't help but root for them. The story is full of drama, angst, some tears, laugh, and lots of steam. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to all.

Ryker and Avery have known each other for many years and had a great friendship before that fateful mission. Dark Sins is a fast-paced romantic mystery that follows Ryker and Avery as they try to find the person/persons responsible for the tragedy that struck Ryker's team and destroyed Avery's family. Ryker and Avery have always felt a strong pull towards each other and now working closely they begin to give in to the feelings they have for each other. As these feelings begin to deepen, can they hide them when coming face to face with those that have wronged them in the past? Will their strength of characters be enough to help them hold those accountable for the death of so many others?
Dark Sins was a story about resiliency, friends, family, and an intense longing for love. Ryker and Avery are meant for each other and that comes across in the beautiful story that unfolds.
Dark Sins Platinum Security, Book 3 By: Kelly Myers Narrated by: Jamie Kersey, Kenneth Elliott
Romantic suspense at it's best, Kelly Myers continues her Platinum Security series with Ryker and Avery's story. Ryker, Avery's brother's best friend has hated her since his SEAL team was taken out due to her bad intel. Now dealing with PTSD and survivor's guilt, he is struggling through life. Avery, a CIA agent, receives an email that states she can be cleared of any guilt of the tragedy. Bringing it to Ryker, despite his feelings, the two join forces to see where it leads. And our story begins. This is a nonstop action story, packed with visual imagery that brings the scenes alive. I was right there with these two as their feelings were revealed, when the chases were on and when I wasn't sure how it would all turn out! It's exciting, fast paced and full of love. I am loving this series and can't wait to see where Kelly Myers takes us next!
Jamie Kersey and Kenneth Elliot are our storytellers. These two are the series, understanding each character and creating a world that is easy to escape into. With accents and so many personalities, each voice is perfectly fit to the story. I loved their narration!
Wow this book was so good I devoured it in one go and to say I’m sleep deprived is an understatement but so worth it. Avery works for the CIA and gets good intel on a mission and so she sends her brother Luke and his best friend Ryker and the rest of the elite Navy seals on it but it all goes horribly wrong and everyone is killed except for Ryker he survives but was injured and now with PTSD and survivors guilt and he hates Avery with a passion and can never forgive or forget losing his family. Avery lost everything her job her brother and her family after it all went wrong but now she receives a text tell her she was set up and made the scapegoat, now she must ask Ryker if he will help her find the person responsible for killing everyone and to clear her name and he reluctantly agrees because he still has feelings for her. Now working so closely together there chemistry is explosive between them and they fight the attraction that’s pulling them together. How does it all turn out between them and do they get the proof they need to bring the guilty party to justice.

Our heroine provided the intel that sent her brother's team to its death, our hero the only survivor. But things are not entirely as they appear.
This is book three of the series, but it works fine as a standalone. There are connections between the stories, but all the essentials are covered here.
This is a romantic thriller. The story is well written and easy to read with a wonderful cast of characters. Our couple is bitter and angry, but not without reason and they listen when there is a chance to discover the truth. The story has plenty of action and includes some twists and turns that keep things interesting. I really enjoyed the chemistry between our characters and the way the relationship rekindles. Overall, an excellent story and I look forward to exploring the rest of the series.
Highly recommended.

Dark Sins by Kelly Myers is the third book in the Platinum Security series. This book moves. There is a lot of action, drama, love and pain.
Avery was CIA until she made a major error that caused the death of her brother, Luke and most of his SEAL mates. One survivor is Ryker, Luke's best friend. Ryker is unable to forgive Avery's mistake. He watched Luke die, received multiple injuries in the attack and is experiencing the effects of PTSD. But then, she gets an email that suggests she might not have been at fault. Ryker is the only person she trusts who can help her solve this puzzle. This starts their roller coaster ride of action, drama, and intrigue with the possibility of love.
I enjoyed this book and will be reading the first two in the series.

This story follows Avery-an ex-CIA- and Ryker- a former Navy SEAL. Ryker was Avery's brother's best friend and after a mistake in intel that Avery gave the SEAL team, everyone on the team died. Except Ryker. Now Avery and Ryker reconnect after a couple years in order to prove Avery wasn't at fault.
This was one of the most believable smutty romances I have read. I loved that Avery and Ryker knew each other in the past. It made so much sense that their crushes would be reignited and lead to a full-blown romance. Plus I absolutely loved the action scenes so much.
There were some depictions of PTSD which seemed super legit. I felt for Ryker so much and just wanted to give him a hug.
Can't wait for more!

So far in this series, #1 book is the best. This story is a 'special ops/military' theme; the 2 of them are apparently going to take on the bad guy's private drug cartel/terrorist army (LOL). The author just skims along on plot and character development. Based on 1 cryptic email, the H/h just fly off to Columbia to meet an ex-CIA guy with information about the mission that killed all his team and her brother, without doing ANY background checking into it. PS just hired an ace hacker so one would expect them to first ask her to check out the suspicious email. So hard to believe this; utterly predictable plot and corny dialogue. "I'm determined to go with her and face whatever I need to face so that I can finally move on with my life. So I can finally be able to forgive Avery. And, most of all, so I can finally forgive myself." Skimming the chapters to get to the ending.
Happily Ever After, the Complete Platinum Security Series is a fun and fascinating journey into the lives and loves of four very different alpha-male protectors. Each novel focuses on a couple, and each storyline is different—though they are all fast-paced, intense, and filled with action, adventure, and intrigue. The chemistry between each leading couple is fiery hot, and I adore how each of the leading women are strong, independent, and brave in their own ways.
The narrators did an awesome job performing the various roles; I was sucked straight in to each story and hooked until the very end. AND after the last story concludes, there are extended epilogues for all 4 couples, which are definitely best enjoyed after all 4 of the stories have been enjoyed. This series is a winner, and so much fun! Highly recommend!.

An “edge of the chair” read! Nearly impossible to put down, I found myself waking up super early this morning to finish this terrific book after staying up super late last night (naptime needed). Avery and Ryker made for an amazing team especially since she surprises him with her ability to withstand both physical and mental adversity. The danger abounds, and I actually had a sense of satisfaction with the way they eliminated the final threat. This entire series is not for the “faint of heart”; however, it does reward the braver reader with something that is definitely out of the ordinary. Can’t wait for the next book in this amazing series! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Avery has a dark past. Former CIA, in charge of gathering intel for missions. There was a major screw up and a group which included her bother, Luke, was ambushed. All died but Ryker, who was Luke's best friend. She felt horrible and responsible for it all. Ryker barely made it out alive having been shot multiple times and stabbed. He also blamed Avery but also has a huge crush on her. Some contacts her about that mission saying it wasn't her fault. She contacts Ryker for his help. At first he's reluctant but moves past it to help her. Those old feelings resurface in them both. Goon the journey to find out the truth of what happened that fateful day. There's more that they thought. Danger and intrigue. Loved this book.
I listened to the audiobook. The narrators, Kenneth Elliott and Jamie Kersey, were new to me. I thought they did an excellent job with their performances throughout the series and I would listen to both again.
I’ve listened to the second and now this third book in the series. The events of Dark Sins are entirely independent of the previous books, and it could be listened to as a stand alone. I liked that the two books I listened to were different from each other so there is variety in the series. Dark Sins was also a different (better) take on second chance in that the characters were never together in the past. That being said, their shared past was a big obstacle for their future.
I received a copy of this book at my request, and the opinions here are my own
Ryker had kept away from his best friends little sister when they were younger, but when she becomes the reason for his nightmares he cant stand her. Avery was set up and now she just has to prove it, but in doing so brings her to Rykers door, the one man she can count on, will he turn his back on her or can he look beyond the past to see what really happened and et the justice not only he and his men disserved but for Avery too. this is well written with a heart breaking and melting story. that keeps your attention all the way through.

Avery and her brother are close and spend times together and with his team. Avery is a CIA agent who gets some Intel and send her brother and the rest of his Navy Seal team on a mission. While on the mission everyone but Ryler was killed and sje blames herself. Now Ryker hates her and will not speak to her. She has lost everything she held dear to her. Will she be able to recover? Will Ryker ever forgive her? When she receives information that she was set up Will she be able to convince Ryker to help her? This is a great addition to the series.
