J.A. Huss never wanted to be a writer and she still dreams of that elusive career as an astronaut. She originally went to school to become an equine veterinarian but soon figured out they keep horrible hours and decided to go to grad school instead. That Ph.D wasn’t all it was cracked up to be (and she really sucked at the whole scientist thing), so she dropped out and got a M.S. in forensic toxicology just to get the whole thing over with as soon as possible.
After graduation she got a job with the state of Colorado as their one and only hog farm inspector and spent her days wandering the Eastern Plains shooting the shit with farmers. After a few years of that, she got bored. And since she was a homeschool mom and actually does love science, she decided to write science textbooks and make online classes for other homeschool moms. She wrote more than two hundred of those workbooks and was the number one publisher at the online homeschool store many times, but eventually she covered every science topic she could think of and ran out of shit to say.
So in 2012 she decided to write fiction instead. That year she released her first three books and started a career that would make her a New York Times bestseller and land her on the USA Today Bestseller’s List eighteen times in the next three years. Her books have sold millions of copies all over the world, the audio version of her semi-autobiographical book, Eighteen, was nominated for a Voice Arts Award and an Audie award in 2016 and 2017 respectively, her audiobook Mr. Perfect was nominated for a Voice Arts Award in 2017, and her book, Taking Turns, was nominated for an Audie Award in 2018. Johnathan McClain is her first (and only) writing partner and even though they are worlds apart in just about every way imaginable, it works.
She lives on a ranch in Central Colorado with her family.
Yet another amazing series from this author with more than a little cross over from other series (all of which I can recommend). Well thought out plot that twists and turns and it is truly difficult to see if there is any way out (think New World Order and you'd be somewhere near the mark). The pace picks up as you pass through each book whilst each has it's own romantic story built in, however these are more than romance, they are suspenseful thrillers too. Great characters that are supported by a cast of other interesting people, some of which appear in other series. Exciting and consuming reading.
I’m not sure what I was expecting. I’m going to preface this by saying this was my first entry into this world. I’m about to go back and start with other series, literally right after I finish this review.
The series has everything you want in books of this genre and SO much more. Characters are well developed, the stories are deeper than you realize, and you slip into their world seamlessly. Your hooked before you realize, and if there are any points where you aren’t sure this is for you, something new comes to light and keeps you firmly wriggling on that hook.
Don’t let yourself pass these by, they are very well written and are worth every second you will be lost in the pages of this JA Huss world.
Anyone who can come up with the myriad of convoluted aspects of these books deserves five stars! AND with all of the horrendous things that happen to so many, there's still a HEA (sorta) and tons of kinky sex. When someone says, "The plot thickens", I'm talking fudge in the case of these books. I haven't binged anything this long since I cracked Outlander twenty-five years ago. Is there a worldwide, secret government so corrupt and heinous they are feared by billions? Can anyone really be trusted? Is everyone related to everyone else in some twisted way? Can anyone take them down? Will everyone make the next taco night? Inquiring minds want to know!
Absolutely amazing! I can’t believe how many plot twists there were in these books. They came in a box set and that is PERFECT! You get to read them in order. I believe I had every single emotion allowed to the human race while reading these books. I’m trying really hard not to give it away, but if you want a set of books that makes you extremely happy——all the way to rage——sad—to every emotion in between, well then read this set.
This box set is amazing if you want more of a story than just straight up smut. The author builds an entire storyline based on corruption and conspiracy theories. Absolutely loved each and every book which lead to the wonderful ending. However it’s really not the end because there are other series that are related to this one, which I have read as well. They are all great series. Brilliant!
The Bossy Brothers Box Set is an intriguing mix of mystery, danger, and suspense! It’s hot and steamy with lots of laugh out loud funny moments, as well as gripping twists and turns, and some dark and deadly secrets. This brilliant series, which includes the equally brilliant bonus spin off book In To Her, is an absolute must read!
Wow! Just wow! Down the rabbit hole...and of course I read the series in the wrong order...lol. have read Rook and Ronin. Not the Bossy Brothers. So now on to The Company then the Mister series! So hot! So much drama and suspense. Keep you guessing. And you get your hot alpha man in each story. So So good. Recommend!!
This series is a brilliant storyline, set in a world where the richest people are controlling everything. They deliberately breed girls to experiment on, searching for a genetic way to resist the biological hazard they intend to unleash. This series is part of several adjoining series that are set in this arena. I look forward with eagerness to reading them.
These books had me all over the place. I don't even know what to say about them all. I loved some parts, I didn't love other parts. The love between the characters is beautiful and the love scenes are HOT AF!! The bad scenes are bad and some parts are out of this world but overall it's a good series.
I really enjoyed this series, I always love it when a complete series comes out in a box set and this one is no exception. Loved the characters, from the start they are relatable and likable. I enjoyed the interweaving of the families and there are a few surprises along the way.
This series covers the Boston Family, a Way banker family, the Dumas family, and a whole heap of other 'blow ins', with plenty of action, drama, and smooth lovin'.
This book is amazing, not at all what I expected but equally riveting. Definitely makes you seriously think that any or all is possible. Pretty unsettling for sure, but loved it all.
What a collection of connected stories, family connections that make chaos normal. It all begins with money schemes, relationships, and looking for answers. Ready to read other parts about cross characters.
All of JA Huss books are amazing….they way everything ties together when you least expect it! Simply amazing!! I started with the rook and ronin series and haven’t been able to stop since.
Amazing, engrossing, complex, beautiful, edge of my seat suspense, raunchy, unforgettable! Julie, you have done it again, I am blown away by your stories, I couldn’t stop turning the pages, thank you ☺️
