I don't know why she's reaching out to me. She knows I hate her.
It's been years since I last spoke to Rose Wright.
And as far as I'm concerned, I'd like to keep it that way.
She was a nightmare. Rose could cut me down like no one ever could. By the end of our relationship, both of us were trying to pierce the other's soul with our words, to leave them bleeding out.
And the sickest part of it all?
The only reason we really broke up was because she moved away for school. It wasn’t like I grew a pair and dumped her. Only the good—yes, good—fortune of distance broke us apart.
I swore I would never go back to her. No matter what, I would never make the mistake of dating someone so unhealthy for me.
And yet, now that she's contacted me, I can't help but be morbidly curious. How bad is her life now? How low has she sunk?
Curiosity is getting the better of me. I can't wait to find out. I can't wait to smile at her fall from grace.
I’m loving this series more every time I read a new couple! Axel and Rose had their issues but with this time they made it worked! I really enjoyed getting to know more about Axel! I’m so glad he had Rose by his side.
As the VP of an MC, he was the voice of reason to his President and the voice of war, when needed. He was in essence the conscience of the MC. Axel, is being pushed and pulled in all directions. The club being in a long running war is not helping, and neither is his friends trying to poach him from the MC helping. When out of the blue a voice from the past comes to add more crap on his shoulders, he is more then messed up in the head. He doesn’t want to care anymore but his heart wants her bad. Rose, has come back top her hometown, not because she wanted to , but because she had to. She is at the rock bottom and thinks this is the way to get back on her feet. When she got here she realized that going back to where you came from isn’t really going to help. They fight and come to an understanding that they need each other to bring a symbolism of sanity and peace to their lives. Neither of them want to be along anymore. Together, with the Black Reapers MC, they fight for what they believe in and come out the other side. They find a deep love and understanding of each other and are in it for the long haul.
This is the third chapter in this series and we find the VP, Axle in between a few scenarios. He’s trying to figure out where he belongs. There are others who are trying to lure him back to their group, there is his own band of brothers who he has at his back, but does not feel the deep connection that he should and to complicate matters, his x-girlfriend, Rose has reached out to him after 10 years. The chapter continues on and it’s better to read from the start, first Lane, then Patriot, then Axle. There is still suspense and an outlying mystery and you will need to read the next chapter to gain more insight.
I find this series to be different from other MC series. The connections of characters are not fully enclosed for the reader and you have to really think about each person as you read through the stories. There is enough to keep me interested in each chapter, but I’m thinking differently when I’m reading these stories compared to others. The books are intriguing for sure.
I received this advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
Trent Jordan masterfully crafts a descent into absolute hell and then brings me out the other side feeling a powerful sense of relief. Filled with undying love, broken characters and a bit of suspense thrown in to keep it interesting, Axle is an engrossing second chance love story. This book took me on an emotional roller coaster on many different fronts, but it was also engaging and hard to put down. I honestly felt such a sense of relief when I finished this book and realized that despite their past this couple was able to forgive, move forward, and work together to reach their happily ever after. There is still some unfinished business in the club and I can’t wait to see where the journey of the Black Reapers takes us next.
A past that they wanted to forget, a war that they have to get ready for. There’s fighting between MCs and it gets a little bloody and a little exciting when you turn the pages to see what happens next. Rose and Axel have lots of hot, steamy, sizzling, chemistry along with stubbornness we will see what happens next. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and gave my honest opinion.
Axle: An MC Romance (Black Reapers MC Book 3) By Trent Jordan. Axle is a complicated character he has been betrayed, mistreated in his personal life. Rose the ex returns because of a need to makeup for her mistakes. I enjoyed the Black Reapers crew They have matured in this book.. In my opinion this is a good series .. Every book introduces you to a different character and their story. I would recommend this series...
I was really anxious to read Axle's story and I was not disapointed. His book was perhaps the most emotional one thus far, we'll see. I really liked Rose, she was strong and didn't cower for him or anyone. She hit rock bottom and knew the only way forward was up so she did it. Axle irritated sometimes with his attitude but I liked him. They had a lot to overcame just to be together again and they were both willing to do it, I respect that
Axle is tough but he is human. He has a vulnerable side to getting hurt. He isn't just an alpha who needs to be right. He has genuine fears and doubts about going to back to one who hurt him the most. He has to deal with club issues at the same time since his is the VP. He was having trouble finding the middle ground. However, he finds even it with a few new battle scars. This book is filled with love, hurt, betrayal and second chances.
