I’m sad this book is probably necessary for my kid’s future, but glad it exists

After reading through this myself I gave it to my tech-loving, gifted 10 year old to read. While they don’t have social media right now and won’t for a very long time, I wanted them to read about what they might encounter on the internet despite our efforts to protect them and keep them safe. This book discusses porn, sex, and other such topics but we already discuss these things in age appropriate ways already with them so I was glad to have more age appropriate reinforcements and info. This is definitely something to read first and alongside your kiddos in order to help them navigate online life.

Kids and teens. Nonfiction. Social media.

A guide of everything from terminology to trolls and everything in between.

Some parts of this are kid friendly, others more for teens and even tech unsavvy adults could benefit from the intro chapters.

Handy, easy to skim or read cover to cover
