I came to England on a once-in-a-lifetime college trip. But after a badly timed blizzard…

I’m snowed in with a duke.

I’ve waited years for a trip like this, and saved every spare penny to get here. The last thing I want to do is cause any trouble.

But when the jet lag catches up to me and I fall asleep on a guided tour, the man who wakes me up doesn’t believe that.

First, he thinks I’m paparazzi. Then, that I’m a thief. By the time he realizes I’m the world’s most hapless college student, he’s ready to slam his head against a wall.

Because he’s stuck with me. My tour bus is long gone, and it’s snowing like crazy outside.

I hope this grump likes popcorn and trashy movies…

Guess I’m having a sleepover with a duke.

Snow Storm is a short and steamy instalove story, starring a lonely duke and the college student he finds curled up in the art gallery.

Okay, this does not goes well as much as I hope it would.

One prominent thing about Cassie Mint is that she always came out with interesting premises. However, I just wished she would have written her book longer.

I know she introduced herself as one who writes insta-love but this one is too blatant, it does not seem to work out nor does it makes sense. Like, how are you in a relationship with a duke you met at the time you got stranded and get to know for one day? Yeah definitely no.

Additionally, as much as I enjoy Mint writing, I started to notice the repetitiveness in the way she writes her romance and idea. Some of the actions done by the MCs are the same as when I read Thin Ice, I couldn't help to long so Mint would offer a different variety.

As a whole, I still think she writes her novellas good, and I know it's pretty hard not to insert insta-love when you're given the short pages. Regardless, I hope Mint knows better now when to weaponize insta-love in her romance so it wouldn't be a lost as this one.

Little Trespasser and His Grace

I liked this quick read MUCH more than I expected to. It's a bit rocky between Theo, Duke of Collingwood, and Quinn initially but that doesn't last long. I love the chemistry and how they warm to each other, pushing boundaries.

'She's fucking gorgeous. A heart attack on legs' -- Theo's early reaction to Quinn 😍

This is a steamy number that is a fun read that's light on drama and deep in snow. Brrr.... ❄⛄🌨

I don't know what happened here. I enjoyed all the other novellas from the Winter Warmers series but this one? It was so boring to me. The plot and the characters were bland, and even if I give props for the originality of the setting, it just didn't flow and match well all together. Quinn arrives to some Duke's estate with her tour guide and she decides to go on her own to visit the place, taking pictures and exploring. She ends up falling asleep on a bench in the gallery. Theo, the Duke, gets back home in the snow storm and discovers the heroine in his house. It's love at first sight.

There are no words to explain how irritating Quinn was. She was so bratty and annoying. I very much disliked her, she made me roll my eyes so many times and everything she did really didn't make sense to me. What annoyed me the most was how she acted like an angry teenager whenever things didn't go her way; one second throwing tantrum because she feels offended and then the next, touching and lusting over a total stranger that she disliked only couple hours prior. And then she kept throwing herself pity parties that I absolutely didn't feel for because she was the one putting herself in that position in the first place, with her push and pulls. Very self-centered heroine. One thing she did right though was winning a place in my 'heroine-i-hate' tag...
Good job girl! 👏🥇

Two weeks into my semester abroad, and I already have a broken heart. That’s got to be some kind of record, right? Yay, I guess. Go me.-Quinn

As for Theo, he was so bland that in my notes, I literally got nothing significant to even mention about him. He was also very confusing because of how he liked Quinn so much. She was more trouble than anything, and honestly, if I had been him, I wouldn't have chased her.

I can’t get carried away, even if a treacherous part of me is glad of the storm, because it’s trapping her here. With me.-Theo

It's unfortunate because, and please mark my words, claiming the romance to be insta-love doesn't exempt the necessity to develop the relationship , and show why there is supposed to be chemistry in the first place. Their love story was rushed and pretty much thrown away. I even want to say it felt amateurish to certain extends. I'm not saying this was intentional or anything, and I respect the hard work but it didn't feel like there was much heart put into it compared to the other novellas. It all felt mechanical and staged, I really didn't feel any warmth reading this. I feel disappointed, that's all.

Would I recommend this novella? Personally, not really...It was okay but I didn't like it. I think it was lacking in the romance department.

**Note that I do not rate novellas and full-length books by the same standards**

I dunno what happened here...

I am a huge fan of Cassie Mint and loved almost everything I've read from her so far.
But this one just wasn't it.

I think the main reason was the heroine, Quinn.
Bratty, rude, shallow and pretty much, whichever way you look at her, just stupid.
And soooo freaking annoying!

My god, she was acting like an asshole most of the time.
Like a spoilt, entitled asshole.
And I absolutely hated her character.

The hero, Theo was sweet and okay I guess but tbh too bland and too boring for my liking.
Plus, he was ginger.

And so I just couldn't stop thinking of Harry and Meghan, the two most entitled brats the Brits have seen in a while.
And so my feelings towards Theo and Quinn are pretty much the same as towards Harry and his always-a-victim wife, Meghan.

I can somehow tolerate him and his stupidity.
I have zero tolerance for the BS from her.

And I think that's all when it comes to the characters.

Also, worth mentioning is the fact that I felt zero chemistry between these two.

Maybe it's because she jumped on his lap few hours after meeting, maybe the fact that I don't like her, maybe the instacrap that I don't really like.

I dunno.

Like I've mentioned before, I still love Cassie Mint, so I'll just pretend this book never happened and move on to sth else.

The Duke and the Trespasser

This was a great read but I really wish it was longer. It had so much potential for more. And now that I’m thinking back on it, I don’t think the two MCs ever said that they loved each other. Isn’t that like a requirement of a romance? When he came to get her I wanted so sign he was tormented while she was gone but all he had was a speech he didn’t even get to finish. Plus I didn’t like Quinn that much. She was a little too pushy for me. Okay I better post this review before I talk myself into taking it down to three stars. Lol.

"Snow Storm" is the story of Quinn and Theo.

Heroine travels to England and meets the hot and sexy duke. They have a rocky start, the conflict is resolved, some bang bang is followed by HEA.

It was ok!

Cassie Mint is someone I can always turn to when I don't know what to read!
Her novellas are highly entertaining and this one did not disappoint!

Snow Storm starts with Quinn in a tour group that is brought through a duke's estate in England. But she ends up accidentally falling asleep on a bench in the estate and the tour group leaves her there! The duke, Theo, ends up finding this woman and is immediately enchanted by her. But there is a snowstorm outside, so Quinn has to spend the night at the estate. Quinn and Theo end up spending the night together in more ways than one 😉🤣

Good story

This one did seem a little more rushed then her usual stories. But that could just be the leaps in time. Still a good story.

This was a fun, quick novella. Heroine is an art student from the U.S. and on a tourist trip to England, their group is sight-seeing at a ducal estate when she accidentally falls asleep in the art gallery and gets left behind. The estate’s residing Duke, the hero, spots her and after first assuming she’s paparazzi or a thief, quickly falls for her. Very insta love but that’s how these novellas are from this author. I liked the snowed-in aspect of why the heroine ends up spending the night there. Super sweet relationship between her and the hero. I’m always just wanting a little more steamy times from this author’s work.

An unexpected meet-cute between Theo, Duke of Collingwood, and Quinn, an American exchange student.

This novella was full of vibes more than plot for me. Theo's state kept reminding me about Mr. Darcy's state in Pride and Perjudice (2005) and I loved that whole vibe of English period dramas but in present time and when two completely different worlds collide and two strangers meet and know the other person is it for them.

It Was The Butler With The Candlestick!

I loved this! Even in such a short time I felt like I got to know Quinn and Theo, as themselves as well as a couple. I believed in their connection and have never been so happy for snow! They felt fleshed out and there was the expected spice. But damn that butler was an ass! Definitely worth a read.

Quinn has saved her money so that she could do her final year of college abroad and when she gets there she goes on a guided tour. She winds up separated from the group and she falls asleep due to the jetlag when the Duke and his butler find her and see her camera they think she's paparazzi then the butler accuses her of being a thief but she's stuck there due to the snowstorm. Theo feels awful about how they've treated this beautiful young lady so he asks her if she's hungry and they spend some time together where they both realize that they're attracted to each other and that there's a connection between them. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this sweet story. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Cute short story.

Quinn has saved and scraped her money together to study abroad. Art is her passion. Getting to tour Duke Collingwood's mansion is something fun and gives her a chance to enjoy the historical art in the mansion.
Theo is the Duke of Collingwood. When he finds Quinn asleep on a bench in his mansion he isn't sure whether he should be thankful she's stormed in with him or upset because he thinks she's paparazzi.
He knows he has feelings for his little trespasser, but being a Duke is a never ending job, especially during a snow storm.
Can Theo convince Quinn he's worth taking a chance on?
