We FINALLY have it, guys. 4 books and $15 dollars later we got to see Olivia, Jaxon and Ryder come together in the long anticipated union. Was it hot? Yes. Would I do it again? Definitely not.
Sorry. I’m bitter.
But seriously, this plot has been done way better. Great example is Sugar Daddies by Jade West 🍭
4.5 out of 5 stars This book like the last, is a little bit sloppily written. I really loved how this story evolved & continues to evolve. While I'm still excited for the last two books, I realize that 6 books in a series like this is a little much. I find myself getting a little bored at times even with the underlying story, the romance & the spice all being included
Started on Scribd a while ago and just finished today. Don’t remember much of what happened prior to me picking the book back up but the last 10% of the book was good 😝 idk how they fit that much smut into such a short book but that’s okay by me 👍🏻
Ryder got off his ass and I'm loving it. We find out more details about his, Jax' and their ex' relationship and why he was so hesitant to start a new one but imo he could've talked about that sooner, like this is book 4 dude!!
They're slowly getting the hang of their relationship and while I love how protective they are of Olivia, I hate it when all criticism/legit questions by the sub are portrayed as backtalk/bratting – let the poor woman speak 😭
Still, I'm really enjoying this series, especially how quick it is to read. There's more dramaaa at the end and a proper cliffhanger so let's see what's next!
Look... I am just going to review all 6 novellas in one because they end in cliffhangers (and they are not even relevant well-thought cliffhangers, some just end abruptly) and have around 100-150 pages each and I find it pointless to review each book when they barely have any meaning individually. Also the fact that each of these novellas are $3 on kindle when you can get a spicy book that's around 350 pages for $5 is a highway robbery!! I am not saying spicy authors should not get paid, but it does feel greedy in this case. Thankfully the books are available on Scribd and I have a Scribd subscription (if you want free 60 days on scribd hit me up!)
Although it's mostly smut - plot, what plot? - there is a lot of suspense though because the FMC is in danger from three different baddies, and there is some emotional plot and I guess character study as the 2nd daddy has to get over some issues before jumping into our soon-to-be polyamorous relationship. Which also brings me to... the first book is lying as there barely is a menage in it (that club scene does not count) and you won't get that in the 2nd one either (although it also has a hot scene where the 2nd guy is there and kinda participating but not really). That being said, I was hooked, no matter how predictable and over the top some things were, and if this book was not split in so many parts, it would've been a 4 star read because it was really entertaining me on a really bad migraine day.
Other than that you have the usual miscommunication and misunderstanding conflicts, the stalker ex-boyfriend, their ex-girlfriend coming back for some trouble etc etc etc. It's all fun emotional turmoil that keeps you reading.
That being said... everything is rushed in this 6-episode book (the author calls them episodes in the preface) and the characters barely get any personality: the guys do have a bit of individuality and charisma, but the FMC has pretty much nothing going on (other than being constantly in danger and a conflict with her mother) and she suffers of the whole annoying insecurity in their relationship, always thinking it will end in a break-up one way or another, which was very uncalled for - I know she had a bad relationship before our MMCs, but really, the guys are trying to communicate and she keeps worrying about a break-up without any reason. But was it a fun read on a day with a huge migraine? Yes, yes, it was! The spice is quite hot and finally something new and more interesting. And I would lie if I didn't say that I was curious about what happened to our two daddies in their previous relationship because they too clearly have some communication issues with each other.
Do I wish there was more talking since she is new to the whole daddydom thing? Sure, yes, but hey, he covered consent and safewords and how it works overall so it's fine by me. Plus she was always reminded that she has a safeword and if she is uncomfortable at any point all she has to do is use it. Also, both guys are a bit sadistic and I loved every second of it!
One more book, right? These are well-written so far, and I do have to give props to the authors efforts to include some diversity—or at least strong hints of advocacy for diversity—but the whole submission thing is really starting to get on my nerves. Like, I get that that’s a thing, and I’m not wanting to kink-shame anyone, but it REALLY gets on my nerves how their relationship feels so superficial & fake, and that Olivia isn’t able to express her thoughts or feelings freely because then she’s being “bratty”. I’d just like to see SOME equality with the power dynamic and more sincerity with their relationship building. It seems like this should have happened by now since there’s only 1 book left.
WOW - book 4 - Ryder has finally gotten off his high horse and makes the 3-some a real 3-some. Jax and Ryder are very protective of Olivia and the hotness and the drama continues. This series has a LOT of hot scenes - but there is character development and drama that makes the books very interesting to read and to be entertained. I love when books have a ton of hot scenes but have plenty of action outside of the "hot" area. This series has both so far in all the books! Great series.
Jaxon/Olivia & Ryder’s story is still strong. They are continuously faced with situations that need resolving. Each one is crossing a hurdle from their past. No spoiling. This is great. Again, a great read for readers who want an intro into multiple partners/BDSM/Sub-Dom. Wasn’t left on a cliffhanger, but leading into next read.
This part of the series was good. A lot happened between the trio, which allowed for the story to progress. Ryder is finally on board with Jax and Olivia. The Ex got what she deserved, but there’s still the matter of Daniel, which I’m not so sure about. I think it was him in the end but who knows. I’m looking forward to the next portion of the story.
adventurous emotional hopeful mysterious tense fast-paced Plot- or character-driven? A mix Strong character development? Yes Loveable characters? Yes Diverse cast of characters? Yes Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated
Kindle - cute heartwarming ddlg continuation with cliff hanger ending.
A blob of smut with no romance…. I also didn’t like the fact that Ryder did not grovel, she forgave him far too easily for me
I was expecting a bit of romance after the first two books. They were all a bit emotionally immature and they used sex to solve their issues. If the sex scenes weren’t involved people would be rating this series far less.
Many scenes in this one were cliché and were giving wattpad vibes. There were also some dumb decisions the heroine took that just messed with my head. So it did turn me off a bit. But thank god, we finally got some three way action. The cliffhanger though😃😃😃...
Almost a 3.5 , but Goodreads doesn’t let us do halfsies. It was a bit repetitive and the reason why I let it score above a 3 is because of the cliff hanger. Gets me every time lol.
This book was of course just as amazing as the ones before it. If anything even better because I felt so many emotions while reading it. I'm so invested in their loves and stories that I literally can't anymore.
Also the cliffhanger at the end of this one ... I need to know ... I have to know.
right so ryder finally gets his head out of his ass but now it's daniel pissing me off. whew i'm tired. AND ANOTHER THING! when is she gna call ryder daddy cos sir is so sexy ofc ofc but im tweaking out hanging onto this two daddy dream rn. genevieve is a b^tch c^nt i have nothing else to say.
***Spoilers ahead*** Finally threesome action, woooo! I'm loving this development. And we get not one, but two crazy exes...things are ramping up around here and I love it!
