It is what it is lmao. Is this top tier writing? No. Is it fast-paced smut? Yes. And I found it very hot. I am not completing the series (I read until Book 3) but it's more an issue of price (2.99 for a short-short novella is asking a bit much in my opinion). I would have absolutely bought this as a full-book, but as it is I'm satisfied with where I'm ending my reading. Entertaining though!

It was ok. It had potential and I wanted to keep reading, but Scribd does this thing where they let you read Book 1 in a series and make you pay the next month to get the next book. I'm canceling my subscription because of it, so I won't get to read the end.

Olivia meets Jaxon and Ryder in a bar, where they finger her to climax on the dance floor. Her ex locks her out of their apartment and she has no choice but to call Jaxon. J & R share women and want a full-time sub. Ryder is afraid of relationships and that's pretty much how it ends.

I want to see how it ends, but these short little books are a scam and I'd never purchase one.

Good story! Just don't understand why it has so many parts while the book itself is just 110 pages... I'm not going to buy 5 more books, the story isn't worth it for me. If it would have been 1 or 2 books I would have.

This book had potential but fell short on the delivery. I absolutely HATE that it’s split into 6 novellas but the pace is so slow.

Olivia meets two Jaxon & Ryder at a night club and some heavy petting goes down. Besides this mini show of exhibitionism nothing else really happens.

I usually don’t leave reviews for books I personally did not enjoy however this would’ve been a Dnf had it not been a novella.

In the beginning I wasn’t immediately hooked but felt like it’s something that can definitely build my interest but unfortunately didn’t. For me this novella had too many things going on and I was left with more questions than answers. The plot what I was expecting having read the blurb was completely different and the subplots leading to the main plot made the book way too chaotic for it to be a novella. I’m aware this is spread across 6(?) books and know that crumbs are important however there was just too much going on. This leads me to my next point, introducing Jaxon and Ryder who clearly have gone through a bad breakup in a mfm relationship. I understand going to the club I understand wanting to take things slow and having separate thoughts but how can two people continue in a poly relationship when there seems to be zero communication. Again I’m basing this off the first book only.

Next the bdsm aspect of this. For someone who has never engaged in bdsm scenes or is not knowledgable about DDLG how can Olivia just jump straight in. Again I may seem critical but there is a lot more than just a small conversation, safe word and a brief explanation before ‘playing’. I just felt this was not realistic for me and therefore could not enjoy. I feel like if this was longer or there was more focus on Olivia coming out her abusive relationship then how Jaxon approaches that while slowly introducing her to the lifestyle with Ryder it would be easier to follow.

Having had so much information thrown in takes from the book even if it does end on a cliff hanger. Please remember this is my opinion and my opinion only this does not mean I dislike the author’s writing this novella just wasn’t for me that’s all. Some people may agree some may vehemently disagree and that’s absolutely find!

I knew this was novella, but I didn't realize this was essentially one chapter of an entire story... I don't know why these styles irritate me but they do.

"This is called cock-warming. I’ll ask you to do this from time to time, because I like the feel of your tight little pussy hugging my cock. If I say, ‘Babydoll, warm Daddy’s cock,’ you’ll know what I’m talking about, won’t you?”

-> that is Daddy Jaxon and Olivia having sex for the first time or better almost having sex, because she has to finish her candy before she's allowed to ride him like a good girl... I have high hopes now lol

Entertaining Daddies smut (yes double the fun) which also seems to have a little plot.

This book wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be, but it was an okay read. Ryder really throws me off. He is such an asshole, but he still set stuff up when Jaxon told him someone was stalking Olivia. I know he is just acting like this because he likes her but doesn't want to get attached, but fuck poor Oliva is the only one that doesn't know that. I can see why she responded the way she did.

Read it in one sitting, even though I've never really been a fan of this whole "daddy" thing before. Buying another part is an absolute must. 8/10.

What an ehh read. So much potential to just be a one length book. Don’t think I’ll bother with the rest of the series.

Jaxon and Ryder meet a young woman Olivia at a night club and after some hot and heavy dancing the trio departs.
This story was good but I just wish it wasn't broken up in to episodes/novellas that you have to keep buying and reading. Not sure if I will continue sadly

Well I am not pleased with a teaser that presented itself as a novella, but it did its work because I am intrigued. I am a little hesitant though because a few things were repeated, not like they were important points that needed stressed, but like the author forgot they had already said that. The writing was solid in other ways, but it’s enough to make me hesitant.

An intriguing plot, love language on point and just the right amount of it. I liked it! The only thing I didn't like and that needs improvement are the men's chapters. The way Calista Jayne describes their thoughts is like a woman would think, not a man. But I' talking about details. Overall, it's really good! And if you're into mfm, you should read it too. ;)

Look... I am just going to review all 6 novellas in one because they end in cliffhangers (and they are not even relevant well-thought cliffhangers, some just end abruptly) and have around 100-150 pages each and I find it pointless to review each book when they barely have any meaning individually. Also the fact that each of these novellas are $3 on kindle when you can get a spicy book that's around 350 pages for $5 is a highway robbery!! I am not saying spicy authors should not get paid, but it does feel greedy in this case. Thankfully the books are available on Scribd and I have a Scribd subscription (if you want free 60 days on scribd hit me up!)

Although it's mostly smut - plot, what plot? - there is a lot of suspense though because the FMC is in danger from three different baddies, and there is some emotional plot and I guess character study as the 2nd daddy has to get over some issues before jumping into our soon-to-be polyamorous relationship. Which also brings me to... the first book is lying as there barely is a menage in it (that club scene does not count) and you won't get that in the 2nd one either (although it also has a hot scene where the 2nd guy is there and kinda participating but not really). That being said, I was hooked, no matter how predictable and over the top some things were, and if this book was not split in so many parts, it would've been a 4 star read because it was really entertaining me on a really bad migraine day.

Other than that you have the usual miscommunication and misunderstanding conflicts, the stalker ex-boyfriend, their ex-girlfriend coming back for some trouble etc etc etc. It's all fun emotional turmoil that keeps you reading.

That being said... everything is rushed in this 6-episode book (the author calls them episodes in the preface) and the characters barely get any personality: the guys do have a bit of individuality and charisma, but the FMC has pretty much nothing going on (other than being constantly in danger and a conflict with her mother) and she suffers of the whole annoying insecurity in their relationship, always thinking it will end in a break-up one way or another, which was very uncalled for - I know she had a bad relationship before our MMCs, but really, the guys are trying to communicate and she keeps worrying about a break-up without any reason. But was it a fun read on a day with a huge migraine? Yes, yes, it was! The spice is quite hot and finally something new and more interesting. And I would lie if I didn't say that I was curious about what happened to our two daddies in their previous relationship because they too clearly have some communication issues with each other.

Do I wish there was more talking since she is new to the whole daddydom thing? Sure, yes, but hey, he covered consent and safewords and how it works overall so it's fine by me. Plus she was always reminded that she has a safeword and if she is uncomfortable at any point all she has to do is use it. Also, both guys are a bit sadistic and I loved every second of it!

Very, very sexy! Daddy dom kink was chef’s kiss, and the writing was actually very well done for an erotic novella. I don’t know that I’ve ever read a book that explicitly stated the MMC was a daddy dom and I appreciated how it was portrayed to the audience like the inexperienced FMC. I’m sure I’ve read stuff where the MMC could be called a DD but had never had it so nicely laid out like this book did. Usually it’s much more CNC in other books and the MMC just takes control and goes to town, but I really appreciated the importance of consent and communication the characters had about it here. Definitely insta-lust/love, not always my fav trope, but I didn’t mind it here. I do have to say the dream sequence all the MCs experienced wasn’t very believable though… Wished book 1 went more into the mmf/mfm aspect of how things will eventually go, but one of the MMCs definitely didn’t have his head in the game as fast as the other here lol. Loved the c*ockwarming and o-control.

I will say there was one “but” in my review of this novella that made it lose a star for me. I was very disappointed the author broke the series down into so many little parts and only made the 1st free. Where it cut off really made book 1 feel choppy in the way it abruptly ended after such a great scene. It kinda shocked me out of how much I was enjoying the story the way I was just thrust back into the harsh reality we all use our stories to escape. I know they want to make money for their writing, but in doing it the way they did it comes off as kinda greedy and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I was left teetering between feeling like, “wow, that was so good! I have to continue reading” and then simultaneously upset at how that abrupt ending felt almost mean. And since none of the rest are free/KU available, do I want to contribute to an author that leaves their audience feeling bereft and so rudely kicked back into reality after investing my finite time into their work? At this moment in time, I am not continuing m, but maybe one day! Because of my anxiety I don’t typically like to buy stories before reading (KU has been a huge blessing here! Lol), but I almost always go back and buy stories I loved later so the author gets supported again. (So if the author ever reads this, please please please consider putting into KU!!!)

The author warns you upfront: This story is part of a serial, so you aren't getting a full story here. So, although you can get this first part free on Amazon, you're going to be paying $2.99 x 5 more installments to get the full story; that's a hefty price for an unknown (at the time of publishing this) author. But I'm here for the smut, so I'm willing to pay. :)

Basically, this series is PWP, but I ain't mad at it. What I am (slightly) disappointed in is that this title promised me a kink-heavy threesome, and it didn't deliver. I mean... I can see that we're building to it, but other than one short , I was left with the reader equivalent of blue balls.

Side note: I read Jayne's second daddy kink series - Cinderella's Daddies - before this one, and maybe that was a mistake on my part as Daddies' Girl is the author's earlier work and therefore not quite as polished as the second series. Not bad, just not as good.

ugh

Daddies’ Girl, Their Babydoll Book 1 series by #CalistaJayne. This was a quick read at 110 pages. Olivia breaks up with her ex. She meets Jaxon & Ryder when she is out with her girlfriend dancing & drinking at a club. She goes home & her ex has locked her out of the apartment. She calls Jaxon (her phone was dead & she had his card). He picks her up, takes her to his place, and puts her to bed. She has a nightmare & Jaxon comes to wake her up & they have sex. They go back to her apartment & her ex has defecated over all her clothes & belongings. She moves in with Jaxon & tells him no sex moving forward. She goes to work on her undergraduate project & thinks she is being watched. She calls Jaxon, and he comes over & discovers there is a camera watching her.

This book ends on a cliffhanger & I have no desire to read the next installment. Thankfully this was a quick read as the book was... Ugh

My Rating: ★★★☆☆

Daddie's Girl, penned by the talented Calista Jayne and published independently on January 4, 2022, offers readers a tantalizing glimpse into the world of unconventional romance. Set against the backdrop of a woman's chaotic life and her unexpected encounters with two commanding men, this book challenges societal norms and delves into the complexities of desire and fulfillment.

The narrative follows the protagonist as she grapples with the aftermath of a tumultuous relationship while navigating the challenges of daily life. When she finds herself drawn to not just one, but two dominant individuals, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and sensual exploration. The dynamic between the characters is electric, and Jayne deftly captures the intensity of their interactions.

One of the highlights of Daddie's Girl is its ability to weave together elements of romance and steam, keeping readers engaged from start to finish. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and their encounters sizzle with passion and desire. Jayne's prose is evocative and immersive, drawing readers into a world where boundaries are blurred and inhibitions are shed.

While Daddie's Girl offers a compelling storyline and well-developed characters, its brevity may leave some readers craving more. At times, the pacing feels rushed, and certain aspects of the plot could benefit from further exploration. However, despite its shorter length, the book delivers an enjoyable reading experience, leaving readers eager for more.

In conclusion, Daddie's Girl is a steamy and provocative read that pushes the boundaries of traditional romance. Calista Jayne's skillful storytelling and vivid characters make this book a worthy addition to the genre. Although it could have been fleshed out further, its captivating narrative and sizzling romance make it a recommended read for fans of MFM stories and unconventional love.

For those seeking a thrilling escape into a world of passion and desire, Daddie's Girl promises an unforgettable journey that will leave hearts racing and pulses pounding.

I think I could have really liked this book. It’s well written and I liked the FL Olivia. There are two ML, Jaxon and Ryder but you only really get to know Jaxon. There are glaring timeline issues, they seem to be stuck on Saturday when it’s actually Sunday, my major problem is the book ends only for you to have to get the next book in the series to continue the story. I hate that! Make it one book not a bunch of little books!!! (Apparently this is my fault for not knowing that, there is a disclaimer at the start of the book)

So in this one Olivia breaks up with her ex and goes clubbing, hooks up on the dance floor with the two ML and when she goes home ex has changed the locks. Apparently it’s a secure building and she’s a senators daughter so not sure how that happened. Also the laptop she takes home suddenly isn’t home the next day. She called Jaxon to come get her, they hook up, he takes her home and bam ex has trashed the place. She then starts getting stalked. End of book.

Would Be Four Stars If...

This would have definitely been a four star read if the author combined the entire series into one long story to buy one instead of multiple 100 pages that you have to buy after the first one is free.

You can read this without the other stories especially since the next five stories is almost $15, but it does end unfinished and on a semi cliff hanger.

I'm also not a big fan of cheating and miscommunication /no communication and from other reviews and comments it seems book 3 had at least one if not both for these things.

(I don't know for sure but I don't feel like buying two books only to DNF the series if it turns out to be true so I'm stopping at book 1).

If you skip the forward of the book you miss out on how these books should be read. This book is part of a series that is created like a tv episode. With that being said this book introduces the characters and the Daddies dilemma. They instantly meet the babydoll of one of the daddies (dreamed of her) and while he must have her the other daddy is hesitant still sour over the previous babydoll. We get a mini backstory of new babydoll and see she has a douche ex-boyfriend and when the Daddies find out about it they are not pleased. Their daddy protective mode goes on and we see them establish dominance both in the bedroom and real world since they own a well established security company and will stop at nothing til their babydoll is safe.
End scene.

enticing start

This was an enticing read. It pulled me in from beginning to end and I can’t wait to see what is next for these three. This one sets up their meeting for all three with a hot, sexy encounter that doesn’t go all the way and then we get to see Jaxon and Olivia start building a connection between them when things take a turn with her ex. This story was a smooth read that flowed really well and kept me drawn in. It is done in episode style, forewarned at beginning of the book, so this is just a part of their story. It’s not left on a huge cliffhanger but feels like the start of the story. Excited for the next one.

"Daddies' Girl: Their Babydoll Episode 1" by Calista Jayne is an intensely smutty and provocative read. The story centers on a young woman who finds herself under the care of two dominant, protective men. The dynamic between the characters is sizzling, with explicit and graphic scenes that push the boundaries of conventional romance. Jayne's writing captures every erotic detail, making each encounter vividly steamy and captivating. The plot is straightforward but filled with tantalizing moments that keep you eagerly turning the pages. This book is perfect for readers who crave a deeply erotic and boundary-pushing experience

Not a fan of the whole “daddy” kink and not really sure why anyone is but each to their own. The storyline is interesting enough to follow but I wouldn’t bother as this isn’t a book, more like a book that has been split up into 6 so that they’re each a scene? The first one is free on KU and then you have to pay like $4aud per one.

Don’t get me wrong, I am all for supporting authors big and small but this is just taking the fucking piss… just make one book and slap on a price 🙄
