What an excellent conclusion to this satisfying read!
We were left in the last book with a jumbled mess that the hero and heroine got themselves into due to their dishonesty and I was anxious to see how they would resolve it. Scott drew me in by his actions in displaying his love for Tess to the goal of their HEA. Scott didn’t come across as play boyish as we were introduced to him in the first book but he chased Tess and knew what he wanted which is always interesting to read.
The whole series was very well written and I enjoyed it. Laurelin Paige does not disappoint with the billionaire romances. I recommend.

Unfortunately don’t work for me!

With the way the 1st book ended, I have been waiting impatiently to read this final book. That was one heck of a mess to get out of, and I had no idea how Scott was gonna do it. I never would have guessed what would happen next.
I will admit that Scott lost some of the intensity in his character that I loved so much from the first book. He just came off so powerful and intense like my favorite characters Hudson and Donovan. The power his father had over him kind of took that away for me. I just felt Scott was untouchable in the first book.
What I did love was how Scott wasn't afraid to admit his feelings for Tess and he put up one heck of a fight for her. That right there won me back over. I need to see the man chase the woman. Those are the relationship I just adore in my books.
I loved how this all came together in the end and how Scott got rid of all the obstacles in his way of Tess. It was pretty romantic. The side story with her friends was a nice bonus as well.

Man in Love delivered on the romance, steam and a HEA. After the cliffy from book 1 Man in Charge I was excited to find out how it would go.
Tess never disappointed. Always strong and determined when it came to her beliefs and wants. Secure and vocal in her sexuality when being with Scott.
Like with Man in Charge her friendship with Tey was a highlight. These two made me smile as did Scott’s grandfather.

Scott Sebastian has a lot of explaining to do. He can’t just click those magical fingers and have me forgiving him. But then again...they are really quite magical fingers. Perhaps he can try to earn my forgiveness after he explains himself. Then the fingers can do the talking.
The beautiful Tess Turani remains professional and dedicated to her cause. With Kendra back at the helm she has to stand up for herself and show she means business.
Scheming, interfering parents with bucket loads of money are the worst. I bet Henry Sebastian is a republican. I think I hate him. Now Irving Sebastian, I like him a lot. That man talks a whole lot of sense. Grandpas for the win.
I’ve loved reading this duet. Loved Tess and her dedication, her strong business acumen, her devotion to her friend, her determination to get support for a cause that she absolutely believes in, her passion. The sexy times are hot too. I loved how she brought a powerful man like Scott Sebastian to his knees.

I binged this one in a single session, finishing in the wee hours of the morning. This author likes to toy with my emotions and this book had me gasping out loud on more than one occasion.
It was the perfect emotion packed ending to their complicated love story. I swooned, I cried and I cursed the author more than once. This was just fantastic!

Man in Love completes the Man in Charge Duet. We finally get a conclusion for Scott and Tess's story. This pair aren't without their flaws which was actually great to see in a romance.
Book two continues where book one finished on that cliffy. How can Scott dig himself out of that mess and what does it mean for Scott and Tess. That isn't even touching on the issues Tess has to deal with. Well, each time we think we are getting the answer Laurelin throws in another curveball.
The sexy times are hot and the pair have their kinks. This book and the duet were a solid read.

Sinfully delicious! The Man in Charge duet kept me hooked throughout.

Months before meeting her, Scott had made an agreement with his father which now makes his and Tessa’s relationship seem impossible. How much are they willing to sacrifice for love? Man in Love is a conclusion to Scott and Tessa's twisted, suspenseful, and love awakening love story in the duet Man in Charge.
Book 1 ended with a blast...come on...it was totally unfair to end it there...I was literally screaming at the top of my lungs with how the secrets destroyed the unique love, the connection they had developed.
After reading this book, it's safe for me to say that this one is more emotional, edgy, angsty...the agony of separation was clear between them.
This book shows us how a person in love will forfeit any war just to be with the person he loves...
All Scott ever wanted was to promote to a more advanced position but now he desires something else...more so than ever. But he has to fight the shackles holding him from Tessa...Will he leave everything for her...or was she never his first priority?
At the end of book 1, Tessa was in for the king of shock...she could have never imagined in the million that the man she has given her everything was just an illusion...the real man was engaged to someone else...a woman she has known her whole life but never suspected for such a thing.

Desde luego, este segundo libro ha superado a su antecesor. Más drama, más tensión lectora, más lágrimas y mucho mucho mucho más amor.
En esta segunda parte, la autora cierra las puertas que dejó abiertas en el libro 1, y también incluye lealtad y determinación en sus personajes principales, lo que convierte a la novela en adictiva.
Me he enamorado profundamente de Scott, por el que inicialmente no daba un duro, y he apoyado hasta el final a Tess, por la que no hubiera apostado. Ambos han dado un giro de 360° a su historia, y eso me ha maravillado.
Ni qué decir tiene hablar de Tey y Kendra, cuya relación me ha sobrepasado para bien.
Esta novela ha tocado muchos palos (enfermedades, dramas familiares, relaciones «no normales» -ojo con una interpretación errónea a eso-, empresas erigidas por el mismo árbol genealógico...). No le ha faltado ni una coma, aunque me hubiese gustado algo más de acción... Un poquito solo.

I was consumed by Scott & Tessa’s story. After the cliff hanger from their previous book, I needed their story and it was worth the wait! As soon as it hit my kindle, even though it was the middle of the night, I read for hours. I couldn’t stop. Scott & Tessa’s story gave me all the feels!
With the little teaser of Brett’s book, I need it ASAP. I just loved these characters & their world and I can’t wait to visit them again.

Man in Love is another superbly written sexy and emotional romance from Laurelin Paige, set in the dramatic world of the rich and powerful. It was an explosive and enticing combination of dramatic storyline, incredible characters, intense emotions and nuclear hot passion.
This story is the second book of a duet and must be read in order. At the end of the first book, Tessa came to know about a devastating secret involving the man she loves, Scott Sebastian and her best friend aka boss Kendra. But it isn't what it looks like. Everything at jeopardy. Scott's position and future in his father's company. The deal about the donation to Tess" passion DRF that actually brought them together. Their relationship. Too many things are at stake. Most importantly their hearts.
This story was all about finding what is most precious to one's heart and go for it. Tess always had issues about self worth and standing up for herself but Scott made her realise that she shouldn't settle for less and she should fight for everything she deserves. Be it a better recognition of her work and value from her best friend. Be it demanding the full devotion from the man she loves. Similarly, before Tess, Scott's life revolved around getting promoted to a better position in his father's company and to earn his approval. But Tess made him feel true love and happiness for self are more important than any position. The story had ups and downs and I almost thought they cannot be together. But everything fell into their places.
I loved Scott even more in this story. He is still the sexy, cocky, dominating, controlling beast. But I loved to see his confusions and dilemmas. I enjoyed seeing him go crazy for a woman for first time. And I swooned by the ways he changed everything just for their love. And Tess was her sassy, sultry and smart self. My heart broke for her pain but I know it was worth it. She is the biggest heart as she felt so much for everyone. All the sweet aching steamy feels were poured in this story. And the chemistry was ON FIRE.
Man In Love by Laurelin Paige is the sweet and sexy reprieve from everyday worries. I just lost myself in the pages of this seductive and heartfelt romance.

This second instalment didn’t deliver for me, sadly.
As I always say, I love a Laurelin Paige book, so I think this was a case of ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ here.
Scott Sebastian might be a rich playboy, but he is no Donovan Kincaid (Filthy Rich Duet). He was just too nice. Whilst in real life Scott would be perfect, I was hoping for a Donovan to keep the chemistry sizzling.
There is also a lot of (what I felt was) unneeded drama that could’ve all be avoided if the characters talked to each other every now and again.
Side note; I kind of feel like a bit of an ass for not enjoying this. Laurelin Paige gives a very moving note at the end to explain how her personal life has influenced her characters and how this duet was not planned and was something that she wanted to write as it was close to her heart.I did enjoy the duet, I just didn’t feel like this second instalment had the angst I personally needed.

In the first book we were delighted to see how the gentle spark between Tess and Scott turned into those powerful flames of passion and belonging. Two hearts merged into one beat. But even the most powerful families hide great secrets, rules that must be obeyed, prices that have to be paid…. But is Scott willing to pay such a price? Can he sacrifice everything in order to satisfy someone else’s plans? Can he just give up?
After the unbearable cliffhanger, I have no words to explain how eagerly I wanted to have this final book in my hands, and Laurelin Paige definitely managed to create a nice conclusion to Tess and Scott’s story. A sexy and sweet story, set in the harsh and calculated world of the rich and powerful, where true feelings are a sign of weakness and stupidity.
After devouring the first book and that hell of a bombshell at the end, I really expected a book that will be so intense and gripping, filled with lots of angst and drama. Taking into consideration her previous books, I expected a heavy read that will shock and delight me at the same time and most definitely push me out of my comfort zone.
Well, that was not the case here. The plot, a bit predictable, is so sweet and funny at times. A light-hearted romance that will not pull you into a whirlwind of emotions, but will relax you with the comfort and sweetness. The characters are consistent with the first book at the beginning, and continue to develop and grow, showing more depth and aspects that were not visible in the first book. The sweet and caring Tess remains true to her beliefs, showing more determination and persistence. Strong and vulnerable at the same time, she definitely manages to bring this cocky man to his knees. Scott, on the other hand, transits from the powerful and arrogant man in charge to the swoon-worthy and romantic man in love, willing to do everything for the love of his life. A man willing to confront everybody, to overcome every obstacle in order to see his Tess happy and loved. And the chemistry between them continues to be totally insane and sizzling.
Man in Love will provide you with a ticket and lead you on a nice journey into that sweet and sexy world, Laurelin Paige has created. With a hot, swoon-worthy hero, a sexy, strong heroine and powerful, scheming parents it guarantees a nice and relaxing read.

Okay Wow! Laurelin you have done it again! All kinds of emotions I feel at this book! First when Kendra introduces Tess to her fiancée and it turns out it was Scott. My heart was in my throat. I couldn’t believe it. The book just gets better and better after her shock after hearing and seeing the man she is falling for and has been with is engaged to her boss. Her secret she kept from him so small compared to the one he never shared. In the Sebastian way they care more about status than how Scott feels about Kendra. So much is revealed and eye opening. Kendra doesn’t want to really get married and Scott doesn’t want to Kendra. He tries to convince Tess this engagement will not happen. Scott acts as if he is not engaged. He introduces Tess to his grandfather. His grandfather gives him advice on this situation. In the end his grandfather is the one who helps Scott to see reason and chose the life he wants not what his parents have planned. Damn this was good. Unexpected twists and turns. Love it!!
