An okay read

Honest opinion- Zoya was weak and spineless for most of the story. And Shahzeb was arrogant and such a hypocrite. I couldn't connect with either of the charecters. I didn't feel the connection between them either. It could have been so much better.

Some books don’t just tell a story — they pull you under, drown you in emotion, and leave you gasping for air.
Aashi Irf’s Secret Desires is exactly that kind of book.

It’s not just a romance — it’s a raw, messy, soul-stirring journey through love, power, betrayal, and redemption. The kind of story that lingers long after you’ve turned the last page.

At first glance, it’s the story of two couples — Shahzeb & Zoya, and Alie & Nazi — but it’s so much more. It dives deep into class divides, buried secrets, societal expectations, and the quiet strength of women who carry more than anyone ever sees.

Zoya and Shahzeb’s story is intense.
It begins with a forced marriage under heartbreaking circumstances. Zoya, the servant’s daughter who’s loved Shahzeb her whole life, suddenly finds herself married to him — but not in the way she dreamed.
Shahzeb, a powerful political heir, is cold, emotionally guarded, and at times incredibly frustrating. Yet he’s magnetic in his brokenness. Their chemistry is undeniable, but their journey is full of wounds that heal slowly, if at all. Still, I couldn’t stop rooting for them.

And then there’s Alie and Nazi — the quiet couple who stole my heart. If Shahzeb and Zoya are fire and chaos, these two are water — gentle, steady, unshakable. Their love is tested by class and family, yet remains pure and full of grace. I didn’t expect their story to hit me so hard, but it gave me some of the most emotional moments in the book. Nazi is a man you dream of. And Alie? Brave, strong, unforgettable.

Yes, it’s a long story. And yes, the dual plotlines can feel a bit confusing at first — but once everything clicks, you won’t be able to stop. This book had me up at 3 a.m., wiping away tears and whispering “just one more chapter.”
Aashi Irf’s writing is vivid, emotional, and fearless.

You don’t just read Secret Desires — you feel it. Every page is either a gut punch or a warm hug. I hated Shahzeb at times. Wanted to shake Zoya. Cried for Nazi. Ached for Alie. These characters are real. They live and breathe through the pages.

And the plot twist?
I didn’t see it coming. It hit like a truck — fast, brutal, and utterly unforgettable. It adds so much depth to the emotional stakes and completely redefines what you thought you knew.
This isn’t a light, feel-good romance. It’s gritty. It’s dramatic. It’s painfully human.
It breaks you before it puts you back together — and somehow, you love every second of it.
If you’re looking for a romance with real emotional weight, unforgettable characters, and a story that shakes you — Secret Desires is a must-read

Ruthless revenge

Secret Desires by @aashiirf

Some stories are meant to read n forget, some to remember for some years and the rare to remeber for longest. And here this story gave me that feeling of remembering it throughout.

Zoya's life turn 360 degrees when she was married to her employer who was her first love/crush. It was out of blue for her to achieve her dream to marry the brightest star on the sky.
But it was marriage of convenience, there was no strings attached. Zoya was always in the delimma that one day it may end at a bad patch.

Shahzeb Alam Khan the richest, tough, bold and out of anyone's league has tied the knot with the servent's daughter.
Why??? What made him take this decision?? Is he blackmailed??? Or is there a secret hidden behind the step taken by him???
He is the shinning star of politics and a succesful buisness tycoon. He has everything on his feets. His is hot tempered and has his own rules to play his games.
Life is giving a very tough time to both of them. How will they survive this cruel politics and a ruthless father.

The story which will not only give you a thrilling experience but also teaches you many positive aspects of life.
The author has shown her beautiful skills of writing a novel with two stories going on simultaneously. The point where you connect both the stories gives you a very different prospective to the whole story.
Alie and Nazi plays a very important role in the story, along Zoya and Shahzeb. The story will give you goosebumps at many scenes.
The story has a twist which makes it more interesting at the end.

Definitely a must read, recommended.

Trust me there are not many stories that haunts ur mind for long but this one will. Very well written & a reader can feel the raw emotions that author wants to express through words. You know those rare books that steal your sleep, your sanity, and your heart? Yeah… Secret Desires is THAT book. No wonder I’m still obsessed.

Shahzeb and Zoya’s story had me hooked from the start. The whole "powerful heir forced to marry the servant’s daughter" trope is already dramatic, but what made it different here is how their relationship begins so cold, almost like a deal & then slowly turns into something intense and emotional. Their journey? Messy, frustrating, heartbreaking at times but you just can’t stop reading.

And then there’s Nazi and Alie. If Shahzeb and Zoya are all sparks and chaos, Nazi and Alie are the quiet, steady kind of love, the type that aches and lingers. Honestly, I didn’t expect to get attached to them this much, but their story ended up giving me some of the most beautiful, emotional moments in the book. The moment the two stories came together? I was completely speechless.

This book isn’t just about romance, it’s about power, betrayal, longing, sacrifice, and the quiet strength it takes to survive when the world is against you. It explores family ties, generational secrets & that bittersweet truth that love can both heal and destroy.

The writing feels so alive–you don’t just read, you live it. The characters are flawed but unforgettable, and the twists kept me hooked.
And that big twist? I swear, it hit me so hard, I never saw it coming, and I’m still thinking about it.

Overall, Secret Desires is intense, emotional, and completely unforgettable. It’s the kind of story that makes you angry one moment, soft the next & leaves you holding your breath through all the twists.

If you’re looking for a romance that isn’t predictable and has real depth, this book is absolutely worth picking up.

It was a nice read

Story of Zoya and Zaiby is a twisted tale beautifully weaved by author. Its not just a journey from desirable to most desirable
companions of main leads. It talks in length about never ending desires of Humans. Politics, conspiracy, self respect, second chance, family support and betrayal. Loved Billy baby and ofcourse Nazi and Alie are the sole of story.

"𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻"。

Reading this book was a wild experience. When I say "wild," I don't mean it in a brutal way, but rather in a quiet, introspective manner. It explores the quiet suffering and frustrations that arise when your heart is closely connected to your loved ones; each threat creates an unsettling pit in your chest. Secret Desires is one such read, where the desire to protect loved ones often prevails over rationality of one.

The story follows Shahzeb and Zoya, who are bound in a marriage under hasty secret circumstances. Zoya has loved Shahzeb since a young age, but he never considered their union in this light. When their closeness ensues, Zoya is constantly surprised by Shahzeb's actions as he rises as the next young politician. Meanwhile, young lovers Alie and Nazi are falling deeper for each other every day, despite the status difference between them. How both of these stories are connected is something you’ll need to read to find out yourself!

Shahzeb is a complex character, flawed in ways humans are . Being morally grey ; he isn't afraid to play dirty. In contrast, Zoya is a strong woman who stands her ground with an innocent personality. Her innocence and kindness soften the rough edges of Shahzeb's character. However, my favorite characters are Alie and Nazi . They own my heart and stole the spot light for me!

Another aspect I loved about the story is that it goes beyond romance. It's a testament to the love and resilience of women, a tribute to motherhood and the quiet strength that empowers them to protect their children against any threat. It also includes political intrigue and societal pressure on a women's chastity.

The story is full of twists, pain , emotional turmoil and of course redemption too, when i finally figured it out, I was shocked beyond understanding. The plot twist hits hard!
If you love a book that not only includes romance but family drama, twists and provokes a roller coaster of emotions inside you, then this one is a must read for you!

This book was such a rollercoaster of emotions for me. Honestly, when I first started reading, I was so confused — like, what is even happening and why are things like this? But as the story went on, every mystery, every question, every bit of suspense slowly started making sense, and I couldn’t stop turning the pages.

The story mainly revolves around four characters — Alie, Nazi, Zoya, and Shehzab. The spotlight, of course, is on Zoya and Shehzab.

Shehzab comes from a rich political family and ends up in a forced marriage with Zoya. She genuinely loved him, but for him, she was nothing more than a responsibility — just the daughter of his father’s driver. After years of living in a loveless marriage, Zoya finally decides she wants a divorce. But that’s when Shehzab suddenly starts noticing her, starts realising her worth, and doesn’t want to let her go. I’m not going to lie, I hated Shehzab in the beginning. But by the end, I could just about tolerate him.

Then there’s Nazi and Alie — and honestly, they completely stole my heart. Nazi’s love for Saba, the way he fought through every struggle to be with her, really touched me. Saba’s journey broke me — she went through absolute hell just to be with the man she loved. And don’t even get me started on her father, I hated him so much I just wanted to beat the life out of him. Nazi, though… he’s my favourite. My top scene has to be when he stood up to Shehzab for hurting both Saba and Zoya. That moment gave me chills.

This is probably the first book where I loved the side characters’ story even more than the main leads. What made me fall in love with the story was how beautifully the author wove in tropes like marriage of convenience and unconditional love.

The characters felt real, the writing flowed so smoothly, and I honestly devoured the whole book in one sitting.

And let me just say this — I can read anything written by Aashi dii. 💌

This book omg I can't express it was a full rollercoaster of emotions. Like you expect something from the book but it turns out to be something else.
When I started reading this book I was so confused about what is happening, why these characters are like this but as the storyline commences every question, suspense, mystery begins to solve. The main characters of the book are Shahzeb and Zoya. Shahzeb belongs to a rich family who is living in a forced marriage with Zoya who is the daughter of his father’s driver. Zoya was attracted to Shahzeb but for him she was just a wife for the name. After years of marriage Zoya has decided to give up and move on but Shahzeb has now started seeing her presence and doesn't want to leave her now the question is whether they will live together or is this the end of something which hasn't even started yet?
The portrayal of love and sacrifice in this book is so amazing that even you wanna fall in love. I hated MMC so much in some parts of the book I was like someone please knock some sense into him please but somewhere down the line even everything which was happening was not his fault(still he needed some brains) whereas I love how later FMC started putting herself first and stood up for herself.
My favourite people from the book where Nazi and Alie. These two characters were so pure and their love I was awe in all of their scenes. The confessions by them, their dialogues, their sacrifices and the unconditional love for each other is like i still cant get over it.
I have always heard from others that you can expect all this from the author but experiencing the same was really amazing.
Now I can proudly say that I have finally entered Aashi’s universe and I am not leaving it anytime soon. I don't know why I didn't find her early but as they say better late than never.

If you ask me if I recommend this book then Yes you need to go and read this book asap, you are gonna love it.

Secret Desires is absolutely wild — imagine trying to text in the rain during a windstorm, stuff flying everywhere, its so chaotic yet, feels so real. That’s this book. One minute I’m yelling “for the love of God, Shahzeb, what are you doing ?” Next, I’m giggling into my mug like someone’s telling me dirty secrets at brunch. Forced marriage between a mega-rich heir and the underdog servant’s daughter? I mean, c’mon, that’s drama gold💛. Their "will-they or won’t-they" mess had me hooked harder than any kdrama. And just when you think “okay, okay, I’ve got a handle on things,” boom, Nazi and Alie show up, and their low-key, soft romance comes in like a gut punch with extra feelings. I swear, my heart had whiplash.😭❣

And yeah, the plot twists aren’t those “oh look it’s a surprise” things. Nah, these are the kind that make you hit pause, stare at the page, and go, “excuse me, what now?” Brutal. The angst🖤💔? Oh, it’s absolutely in the red zone. Romance? It’s a combo of cute and chaotic — you wanna hug characters, you wanna yell at them, sometimes both at once. Daddy issues? Off the charts.📈 Political backstabbing, dirty deals, that low-key family shame that nobody actually talks about until it explodes everywhere, and blackmail so juicy you wanna sip it with a straw.

Shahzeb — man, he’s a walking flaw wrapped in a jawline and entitlement issues. Sometimes I just wanted to shake him by the shoulders and say “dude, stop making things worse!” And honestly, his dad? Lowkey stole every scene, especially when he threw hands for his wife. Like, king moves.🛐💗

If you want tidy, sugar-coated love stories, keep scrolling. Go back to Hallmark channel or whatever. But if you like your romance as messy as a group chat at midnight, with people who are greedy, kind, scared, brave — who get in their own way, who actually feel stuff like actual life — grab this book. Get ready to lose sleep, your patience, probably

There will never be enough words to express what I felt after finishing this book. It made me experience every single emotion—happiness, sadness, anger, surprise, hurt etc.One book, two unforgettable love stories.🫶🫶 a blockbuster movie experience. 🥳🥳

Shahzeb & Zoya – Their story follows a forced arranged marriage. Zoya has loved Shahzeb since childhood, but he never saw her as his partner or wife. Shahzeb is fierce, short-tempered, and morally grey, while Zoya is innocent, kind, calm, patient—yet strong and independent. Their journey is full of angst and fire, a rollercoaster of emotions.

Alie & Nazi – On the other hand, their love story is sweet, calm, quiet, and extremely heartfelt. Alie, the daughter of the richest man, and Nazi, from a middle-class background, fall in love despite all these differences. I loved them so, so, so much—their story is going to be my forever favorite.🥹🥹

How these two completely different stories turned out to be connected was just Chef’s kiss 😘

Shahzeb as a character is full of flaws. He made mistakes that were truly hurtful, yet these very flaws made him human, raw, and real. Still you can't hate him . when you know his aide of story 🥰

And then there’s Nawaz Meer (sighs)… what do I even say? Despite being 49 yrs old he will make your heart go 'hmmm...'🫠

Talking about female characters—Zoya, Alie, Saba, Saba's mother, etc.—each one was written with such beauty and depth. Every woman had her own strength.

This book is not just about romance. It has politics, family drama, countless twists and secrets (i literally messaged the author at midnight😂). Most importantly, it portrays motherhood—the way a mother can fight for her children, sacrificing everything if needed. No one can harm a child when their mother stands by them.💕💕

When I first started Secret Desires, I was honestly confused. Two stories were running side by side—one in the past and one in the present. And it took me a while to settle with the characters. But once I did I couldn’t stop reading. I kept going until I finished it and wow, this book turned out to be amazing.

The story revolves around two couples- Nazi & Alie and Shahzeb & Zoya.

Nazi completely stole my heart. He’s gentle, heartwarming, and everything love should look like. Their story is so pure and moving and for me, I don’t think I’ve read a better love story. They fight for their love against family pressures, even standing up to her father and the way their relationship unfolds is simply beautiful.

The journey of Shahzeb & Zoya was intense, raw, and emotional. They started with a forced marriage that felt rough and painful but as Shahzeb realized his love for Zoya, their chemistry and passion grew. Their story made me cry, made me ache but also gave me hope. Zoya suffered so much because of his struggles and I felt every bit of her pain. The truth and revelations in their arc left me speechless.

One of the most satisfying (and honestly thrilling) parts for me was when Nawaaz beat the hell out of Shahzeb for breaking saba’s heart and making her cry. That scene had me cheering, even though I understood Shahzeb was dealing with his own demons, it didn’t excuse the way saba was hurt. And also zoya. Still by the end, everything fell into place like a puzzle and both couples found their way to love and healing. My broken heart was soothed.

Aashi di once again proved why she’s my favorite. She created a story that’s emotional, passionate, heartbreaking, and heartmending, all at once.

Secret Desires is a book that stays with you long after you close it.🤌🏻😭❤️

okay so… wow. this book really took me on a ride 😭✨. i went in not knowing what to expect, but ended up feeling every emotion possible—anger, butterflies, heartbreak, swooning, everything. shahzeb & zoya’s story?? addictive. i couldn’t stop even when i wanted to scream at shahzeb for being… well, shahzeb 🙃. he’s magnetic and frustrating at the same time, and zoya?? my soft queen who somehow stayed unshakable through it all 🌸.

what i loved most was how it wasn’t just a love story, but more like two different lives colliding. the whole “rich, powerful heir x servant’s daughter” trope is already juicy, but here it felt darker, heavier, layered with so much emotion. the arranged marriage angle started cold, almost harsh, and then slowly turned into something way more intense. not the usual fluffy romance—it’s sharp, painful, but also kinda beautiful.

and omg nazi & alie… their story hit so different. quieter but full of ache and longing. the way the author weaved both couples’ lives across timelines was honestly so clever. all the dots connecting later?? goosebumps.

writing-wise—super vivid. i could literally see everything, feel the tension, the cultural depth, the unspoken emotions. some parts felt a little too dramatic or had characters acting villain-y, but lowkey that made it more fun to read. i mean, not every romance has to be soft and sweet—sometimes you need the messy, twisted passion too.

overall, not perfect, but honestly memorable. if you’re tired of cookie-cutter romances and want something a little desi, a little dark, and a lot emotional—this one is worth it. just be ready to feel wrecked and addicted at the same time ❤️

I was NOT ready for the emotional rollercoaster this book put me through. Like how can you do this 😭? Secret desires is messy, dramatic, heartbreaking, addictive - basically this book has everything you need as a reader trust me!! Whatever I'll say will fall short even if i try to explain what I felt after finishing this book! Oh wait 😭 did I finish the book or did the book finish me? “Some books just rob your peace of mind and Secret Desires is exactly that kind of book. It’s still living rent-free in my head. 😮‍💨

A tale where they don't have a smooth way but it's tangled in power and the weight of unspoken truths. The narrative pulls you into a world where desire is both a blessing and a curse, and where every choice leaves a scar. Secret Desires revolves around two people whose lives should never have collided the way they did yet fate twists them into a bond neither asked for nor can escape. Their journey is chaotic, messy, frustrating, and heartbreaking. They fight, they break, they burn and through it all, i just realised how fragile and consuming love can be when shackled by circumstance.

The writing carries a cinematic intensity ,the scenes unfold with raw details, emotions hitting like waves, dialogue sharp enough to wound your soul, and moments that leave you breathless. Yes, there are times the characters make you want to scream, but that’s the point ,their imperfections make them painfully real.

Secret Desires is haunting, maddening, addictive, and unforgettable. If you’re looking for a story that steals your sanity and your heart at once, this is it. The author blew up my mind 🙈❤️😍

Trust my words, Firstly when I started reading it with the two parallel stories I didn't captured a single thing about Nazi & Alie. I felt it's boring maybe, but guess what the parallel stories are just mind blowing. Once, you got it, you can't put the book down, this is what happened with me.

Secret Desires is a gripping romance that blends passion, power, and hidden truths into a roller-coaster ride of emotions.

One story follows Shahzeb Alam Khan, a charismatic and influential business and political tycoon, who finds himself trapped in a forced marriage with Zoya Shareef, the servant’s daughter who has secretly loved him for years. What begins as a marriage built on blackmail, secrets slowly unravels into a tale full of tension, sizzling chemistry, and heart-stopping twists.

And the Nazi and Alie’s story touched me the deepest.Their relationship feels like a quiet flame, burning steady even against family opposition. What really stood out was the way Alie’s faith and devotion complemented Nazi’s warmth, making their bond feel both delicate and unbreakable. And, the quotes? Omg.

Author has beautifully captured the essence of forbidden love, societal class differences, and the vulnerability of two people tied together by fate. The author keeps readers hooked with unpredictable turns, making it impossible to put the book down.

If you enjoy intense love stories with a mix of glamour, heartbreak, and fiery emotions, Secret Desires is a must-read! An absolute Love.

Wow—this book really surprised me. I didn't know where to even start with it at first. The two dual storylines going on simultaneously seemed complicated and a little confusing, but in the best way possible. It kept me in suspense the entire time—would the stories come together? Would one end in heartbreak and the other in joy? Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen, the twist really knocked me off my feet.

The characters of four—Zoya, Shahzeb, Alie, and Nazi—are followed in the story. And although every one of them had an arc, Alie and Nazi were the total stars for me. Their path from teenage lovers to life partners (and even into their older years as grandparents!) was so sweet. Their strength and love for one another made me immediately fall in love with them.

Zoya and Shahzeb's romance, however, had me on the edge. I must admit, I rushed judgment with Shahzeb—I assumed he was a Playboy. But as the book progressed, he totally blew me away. His change amazed me so much, especially because it made his character so rich. I loved seeing that development.

What I enjoyed most about Secret Desires is how much it delivers—political romance, arranged marriage of convenience, emotional tension, and so many surprise turns, all held together with razor-sharp, compelling prose. The pacing never slows, and some of the quotes? Straight-up chef's kiss.

I read this book in two days because I couldn't put it down. It's emotional, surprising, and really unforgettable.

Secret Desires is a layered, emotionally charged desi romance that blends power, pain and passion into a story that refuses to be forgotten.
At its heart are two couples—Shahzeb & Zoya and Nazi & Alie—whose lives unfold across timelines and generations. Shahzeb is a political heir with a reputation as ruthless as his ambition. Zoya, the daughter of a servant, finds herself married into his world under circumstances that feel more strategic than romantic. What begins as a cold arrangement slowly unravels into something far more dangerous and intimate.

Meanwhile, Nazi and Alie carry a quieter kind of ache. Their love is built on sacrifice, secrets and the kind of longing that spans years. As both stories unfold, Aashi Irf masterfully weaves past and present, revealing how choices made in silence can echo across generations.
The writing is vivid and immersive. Every character feels real—flawed, fierce and unforgettable. Shahzeb is magnetic and maddening. Zoya is soft-spoken but unshakable and together, they burn.

This isn’t just a romance. If you want a desi love story that’s bold, bruised and breathtaking—thdn Aash irf's Secret Desires will leave you wrecked in the best way.And once you start reading, you won’t be able to stop. ❤️

OMG! This book was such an emotional rollercoaster for me. I genuinely don't remember the last time I felt so many emotions while reading a book, one moment I was angry while the next moment I was giggling and then I was literally sobbing.

The chemistry between Zoya and Shahzeb was was pretty intense. I loved Zoya she was a pretty headstrong girl and always cared for others helped others. Shahzeb on the hand was a very complicated character, to be honest I didn't like him much at the beginning and I genuinely believe he should have groveled more. But I did like him at the end when he finally changed and came to his senses, but his father, OMG🔥I absolutely love him❤️❤️

Also I loved Alie and Nazie they were definitely my favourite. For the first time I think I loved the side couple more than the main couple.Their love was so pure and they faced so much, I felt so bad for them.

Also the plot twist of this book was absolutely insane. I didn't see it coming at all.

Overall this was great book, I loved it. The book is very engaging and addictive. If you love reading romances filled with drama which will make you go through an emotional rollercoaster and also filled with lots of suspense and mystery then this is the perfect book for you.

I don't know where to start, the beginning was a bit confusing to me with two couples, but later on it all made sense and in a much better way.

Zoya and Shahzeb are really made for each other, though for 85% of the book, he was not so good towards her, but afterwards, he made it better. I still have my doubts regarding him, but that's understandable, to be honest. Zoya is strong and independent. I love her, even though she loves Shahzeb, she does not bend down to him. I truly admire her.

Nazi and Alie are my favourite couple in the book ,and they will be my favourite in every Aashi's book. Nazi is truly a man every girl deserves and Alie, my strongest girl. She is so brave and someone I truly admire wholeheartedly and deeply. During thick and thin, she was with Nazi and never left him. My babies deserved so much better.

The writing was as always awesome. I love Aashi's writing and this one was no exception. The plot... My god, what do I say.. The plot hit you like a truck, fast and unexpected, but that has the power to shake you.

Loved the book, highly recommended if you enjoy not-so-typical romance and an amazing plot.

💌BOOK REVIEW 💌
MY RATINGS⭐⭐⭐⭐. 5

Secret Desires is a gripping romance that blends passion, power, and hidden truths into a roller-coaster ride of emotions.🤌

The journey of Shahzeb & Zoya was intense, raw, and emotional.Shahzeb is a complex character, flawed in ways humans are🤍
Zoya is a strong woman who stands her ground with an innocent personality... I loved her🤍

And the Nazi and Alie’s story touched me the deepest.Their relationship feels like a quiet flame, burning steady even against family opposition....They fight for their love against family pressures!!!
Nazi completely stole my heart. He’s gentle, heartwarming, and everything love should look like. Their story is so pure🤌
Alie & Nazi their love story is sweet, calm, quiet, and extremely heartfelt🫶

The characters in "Secret Desires" are brilliantly portrayed!!!

This book isn’t just about romance, it’s about power, betrayal, longing, sacrifice, and the quiet strength...A tale of love, deception, lies, desire, ambitions, loyalty. Interesting twists!! Twists?? My God Speechless

Thank you so much @aashi_irf_author and @storyshine_pr for the book💌

Secret Desires by Authoraashiirf

A total rollor coaster of emotions, twists and romance. Here's my new favorite desi political romance book's review.

Let's breakdown how I loved and enjoyed reading this book and what all you can keep in mind while reading this masterpiece for the first time:

First thing first the book is twisted and has a dozen of plot twist that can leave you at the edge of your bed with your fingers over your mouth. That's the kind of reaction which you will give while reading this, I am so damn sure for it.

Secondly, The characters are complicated, especially the MMC Shahzeb Alam Khan . He is a type of person who uses people and their emotions for his own gain, the way author has shown his complexity of emotions is a commendable job. Next, the FMC Zoya Alam Khan. I thought that she was a ordinary girl but here I am repeatedly thinking about her lines, her emotions and her inner turmoils that's how much she has impacted me.

As the book is multicouple, you will see two stories unfolding simultaneously and let me tell you 45% into the book and slowly you will see the plot opening up and talking to you, and at that moment you will not able to shut the book even for a second.

Last but not the least, I loved how author has combined the religion with her work. I really appreciate her efforts to interconnect religion and character which make them a little less perfect and more of a human which is quite relatable because which human doesn't do mistakes right..

At the end I just want to say that, Go for the book, give it a shot and you will never forget the ultimate plot twist in this.

With love.

Okay this book really took me on a ride.😭🔥 One moment I was smiling, the next I was angry at Shahzeb for being Shahzeb 🙃 and then Zoya?? My queen, she stayed strong through everything 🌸 I couldn’t stop reading even when I wanted to scream.

The rich heir x servant’s daughter trope is already interesting, but here it felt deeper and heavier. The arranged marriage angle started off cold, but slowly turned into something intense and emotional. It's not a fluffy love story at all ....this one was sharp, painful, but still so beautiful.

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT NAZI & ALIE?? 🥺 🔥their story was softer but full of ache and longing. When both couples’ timelines connected, I got goosebumps. The writing was so vivid, the emotions so raw, and the messy drama just made it even better. Honestly, sometimes you don’t need soft romance....you need the twisted, chaotic kind. And this book gave exactly that.

"Secret Desires" is an emotional, intricately layered plot with a mind blowing plot twists right in the middle by my just recent favourite, Aashi Irf. It's high on drama, rich narration, and intense emotions. Being the first book of the duology, Secret Desires is unforgettable to the readers definitely for its plot twist.

The novel follows the life and love story of the couples Shahzeb-Zoya and Alie-Nazi with different timelines and emotions. Shahzeb, a ruthless businessman was forcefully tied to Zoya. And their relationship sparkles debates initially. Meanwhile, Alie and Nazi, there's a love which the book girls want to have. Powerful, Passionate, and Sacrificial.

The beauty of the novel is right in the middle, where the past and present are weaved into one whole length twist. The emotions are on point, the political drama is as just as real, the romance is steamy, and the villains, they are the ones who made this novel interesting.

And, when love strikes, it dilutes the time. A plea for divorce made Shahzeb snap out of his walls, and the forced wedding turns into something lovely, and cherished bond. A plea for life separated Nazi and Alie. But theirs so powerful that the separation was never permanent.

If you are sucker for political drama, plot twists and romance with a hint of darkness, Secret Desires is yours to read and delve in deep and intense 🌪️🦋

The plot twist was definitely twisted completely unexpected. When I started this book, I had a lot of guesses in mind, but this? I did not see it com. It hit me like rain on a sunny day sudden, shocking, and honestly, so good.

Now, talking about the characters. The story follows two pair. The main pair, Zoya and Sahazeb, were interesting, but I couldn’t vibe with them as much as I thought I would. On the other hand, the second love story Sabah and Nazi completely stole my heart. Saba is such a sweetheart, and after everything she went through, the way Nazi loved her was just so beautiful. Their bond was deep, pure, and unforgettable. I honestly can’t get over them.

As for the pacing, the first half of the book was quite slow and I couldn't enjoy much. But once the story picked up in the second half, it was full of twists and drama, and I loved reading it from that point on.

Overall, Secret Desire was a twisted, emotional, and surprising read that left me shocked in the best way. If you’re looking for something packed with family drama, unexpected twists, and layered love stories, this one’s definitely for you.

" Secret Desires" story framed arounds the two main characters Zoya & Shahzeb as Zoi and Zaiby. Zoya is a most beautiful girl & the wife of Shahzeb Khan. He has the hot attitude & the charming persona that attracts anyone towards him. They both tie the knot of marriage without each other consent. But soon their hatred towards each other turned into a magical love. On the other hand the love birds Nazi & Alie are my favourite couple who falls in love with each other & faced a lot of struggle due to this decision. Their fate later written by Alie 's father who was the most egoistic & cruel person. The story also follows the Sardar Alam Khan the Shahzeb father's political power & his selfish actions, greediness that gives fuel to the difficult situations that were build against the will of his family.
.
"Secret Desires" deserves a special place among all other works written by the author. It contain the two different plots that flows parallel to each other in the different timeline & connected at the end. The main twist that going with the both story lines written in a way that it evoks readers interst in it & they feel intrigue with the story till the end.
.
With each passing chapter I felt peeling off the new layer of the hiden mystery. I liked the Nawaz character most. He is the best father & a good husband that every girl dream to have. The way he care for his wife saba is so heart warming. Each time when he addressed his wife with the sweet name "Jaaniye" took away my heart. 🥺❤ Shahzeb & Zoya's chemistry is also swoon worthy. The bond between Shahzeb & Bilal is amazing.
.
I already started reading the second book of this series" Simmering Love " for my one & only Bilal. 🔥❤
I highly recommend you to go and read both books of this series.

.
Rating ~ 5/5
.
Ps: I'm in love with the new covers of this series. 🔥❤
