Auggie ‘Captain’ Brass is enjoying the bachelor life. He’s got a new house, a thriving law practice, and friends around him that he knows he can trust. His work for paying clients fuels his passion - helping people who might get railroaded by overworked public defenders and a justice system that can only see black and white.

When he finally decides to take on an associate, she comes with her own assistant and a pocketful of secrets that will change his life.

Matalie is a go-getter who survived one of the most heartbreaking things that can happen to a woman. After she gets revenge against the man that cost her everything but her life, she pays the price and then works to build a new life with a new direction - helping others who shouldn’t have been convicted for doing society a favor and ridding it of one more piece of trash.

When her beloved niece comes to her with information and asks for her help, Matalie is all in and ready to put herself in the hotseat to see just what her niece is getting into. Once she secures a job in the law office she was aiming for, she meets a man who isn’t quite ready for the bomb she’s about to drop on his life or the gift she’s about to give him.

Neither one of them is ready for the sparks that fly, but if they can keep the fire contained between them, it just might burn bright for the rest of their lives.

Wow.
This was hilarious and so sweet, and completely wicked.

I love learning more and more about what’s going on in Tenillo as the series continues.

I also Adore getting to see more from the crazy coven of women that the men have brought into the fold.
Plus the guys, especially the Time Served guys, are all hilarious and evil geniuses.
I love the chaos.

I really enjoyed how easy these two created a life together and just jumped when it felt right.

The sex was hot and the scenarios sort of hilarious and definitely exciting.

All the twists and new info just added to the fun and excitement going on.

I just had a fantastic time reading this.
I love this series so much.
I can’t wait to see who’s next to fall and what crazy shit happens along the way.

This one was fun, mostly due to the ending to Omen's book. I knew what was going to happen here, but what I didn't expect was the other family member that Captain found. I thought the way that things evolved happened in a good way, a prepare for the worst, but hope for the best kind of thing. And it did turn out to be the best, for everyone!

Matalie was interesting. She really played things close to the vest and kept Captain on his toes. But once she was in, she was in. I liked how they had so much in common with their past and their passion for helping people that needed it. I did find it interesting how working one case led her into the stuff that both MC's have been working on, while cleaning up the city. While things were a bit harrowing for a bit, once again the crazy coven did what they are meant too, taking care of business, giving the guys time to deal with the aftermath and get the next link to go after.

The ending to this one was funny, loved the look into the future and how there seemed to be a headache battle going on.

On a side note, how funny was karaoke night at Hangout. That was so great!

Captain

Definitely getting better as the series progresses! This is my fave Tenillo so far. The Rojo crew will forever be my absolute faves, but Captains book rates right up there with them!!

Auggie 'Captain' Brass needs help with his busy law practice. His Mother has been pushing it and insists she has the perfect candidate and when Captain interviews Matalie he agrees, he just hopes that he can keep his attraction to her to himself. Matalie moves to Tenillo with her niece, who just happens to be Captain's daughter. The only reason she knows that is through an ancestry site and she hopes her niece doesn't get her heart broken. When Captain finds out he is shocked and thrilled, he plans to make up from time lost. With everything that has been going on in town though he vows to protect them both and he also intends to keep Matalie close by his side.

Another great book in this series. Have been anxious to see what Captains story would be as he is the big flirt. Can't wait for the next book.

Brilliant

Said it before will say it again these two MC stories are the Bomb.
At the end of Omen story I thought who is he related to. Shocked when I read.
Captain and Mat story was brilliantly written. Imagine 2 ex cons falling in love and she is raising his daughter who he didn't know about plus they are both lawyers.
This crazy bunch of men and women make you laugh, fall in love with them and cry. Imagine what christmas would be like. Lol
While the men and women fall in love they handle the crime in their town their way.

Secrets, lies and unknown daughters … what else could DNA tests reveal?

I do NOT consider this to be a STAND-ALONE read. That is because there are two series, written in tandem by two authors, about two different MCs, that unite together to tell the readers about Tenillo, Texas. For maximum reader satisfaction, to prevent spoilers, and for immersion in the dynamic world building, these need to be read in order, alternating every other series. For example, it begins with Boss from the Time Served MC, then Sin’s Enticement from Ares’ Infidels MC series, then back to the Time Served MC, and so forth. Other reasons these should be read in the recommended order include multiple reoccurring characters, concurrent / overlapping timelines and overarching themes.

Cee and Ciara are working in tandem to weave stories about men and women that are determined to clean up and save their city from coercion, drugs, blackmail, human trafficking, murder and whatever other nefarious crimes are being committed in the shadows.

These men and women do not fund their lifestyles with illegal activities, so they are not like the stereotypical bikers normally featured within this genre. These series combine to build a dynamic and ever changing story universe with each new reveal, but with two distinct styles. This has made it more interesting for me and I for one am looking forward to the next in the series.

** If you have not read the previous stories in the series, the following may contain spoilers. There are numerous topics that are potential triggers for sensitive readers, so please review the examples listed below **

⛔️ Contains references to, or scenes detailing, subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some, including: adult language; derogatory terms; mental health challenges; steamy adult intimate scenes with dominance, submission, restraints, spanking for pleasure, “bottom” play, etc.; violence such as kidnapping, abduction, murder, death, torture, assault, fighting, betrayal, coercion, blackmail, threats, subterfuge, money laundering, gun running, cheating, prostitution, human trafficking, mafia / cartels, drug use, drug manufacturing, drug distribution, as well as the mental, physical and sexual abuse of females and/or children, etc.

** Caution: Contains scenes with reference to, or detailed graphic violence against females and/or children that fit into the storyline, but may be a trigger for some **

There are quite a few grammatical issues throughout the story. These include repeated words (I.e. II vs I), punctuation errors (I.e. extra inserted period, etc.), transposed words, missing words and extra inserted words.

There is also an error that drove me nuts (some would say that it was a very short trip … ), but it was something basic from the previous story (Omen’s Entrapment) and that is the state that Desi lived in before her abduction. It was Louisiana, not Kansas!! This started in the very first Prologue about Captain and continued from that point forward. Kansas was the state that the other girl was from, not Desi.

I am mentioning these for readers such as myself that visualize the story as it is read, because errors interrupt the flow.

There has been some scenes written with some humor, but not what was included in the first few of this series. I know there has to be some differences based upon personalities of the various H/h couples, but I just missed some of those scenes that made me laugh until I cried.

In this story, we learn more about the time Captain, aka Augustus “Auggie”, spent in prison and why. I’m sure it must have been included in some of the previous stories, but I don’t remember it being covered in detail. His law practice has been so busy that he has finally decided to hire another lawyer to assist. This brings secrets and lies to light and changes multiple lives.

Matalie is an attorney that got her degree while in prison for attempted murder. She had been having issues getting a job at a law firm because of her record, so she has been editing for a few authors to pay the bills so she could help a few that she felt were wrongly convicted or charged.

Captain’s mom recommends that he actually bring on two attorneys and thought he should interview Matalie. Looking at her resume he agreed to contact her for a quick impromptu video interview. Then he got his first look at her and she just took his breath away … then he realized there was a mirror behind her that let him see that she was only wearing a pair of small black panties with “PINK!” spelled out in glitter across her bottom …

Casually Violent MC Novel

I’d probably give this book 3.5 ⭐️ if I could.

This is the fifth book in a continuing series. This series alternates with Ares Infidels MC series written by Ciara St James. You need to read the previous books in the series to really understand the history and the characters, however I’ve missed books in the Ares Infidels MC series and not felt like I vastly missed anything. This is because the shared overarching plot moves very slowly.

Captain used to be a cop, until he got tired of seeing very bad people get away with what they were doing time and time again and started taking matters into his own hands. He finally got caught and spent 20 years in prison. Whilst there he got a law degree, and an accountancy degree and learnt french and Spanish, he also did a few other random courses. He’s intelligent, ruthless and dangerous. He’s also kind, determined and believes people shouldn’t be punished for being failed by a bad system and having to protect themselves.

He now has a legal practice and takes on high paying divorce and corporate clients to fund his pro bono work that helps those that the system has failed because they aren’t rich and powerful enough. Now he’s finished building his house and his mother’s little house on his property, he’s ready to dig in further on his business and his mother suggests hiring a new attorney to help deal with all the cases he’s getting.

Matalie adores her niece, August. She’s never going to have children of her own and her sister is a terrible mother. August has lived with Matalie since she was 18 and could make that decision for herself. Neither Matalie nor August have seen her since. August only recently found out that her father wasn’t dead and when she signed up for a DNA test that linked people on a website she discovered her father, uncle and various distant relatives. Desperate to find her biological father August ask Matalie to help and when she remembers some facts from her sister’s past is able to locate Captain.

Scared of hurting August Matalie applies for a job in Captain’s law practice and moves across the country to take it, hiding who she and August are whilst she decides if Captain is going to hurt her niece or not.

I didn’t enjoy this book as much as other’s by the same author and I think I probably wasn’t in the right mood for it. There is a LOT of casual violence in this series and though there is no more in this book than the others it bothered me more. I think it’s because it felt like there was less plot in this book to distract me. It was very obvious to me where the book was going from the outset and the character development wasn’t enough to distract me from the lack of plot.

There were plenty of hot scenes, lots of violence and sweet family/found family to counterbalance it, but there was little plot. It felt like all those scenes were written separately and glued together with very little thought about the direction those scenes were moving.

Basically this book wasn’t the best in the series, but it was still entertaining enough for me to read the next one when it comes out and hope this one was just an aberration.

Whatta man!
Captain Tenillo Guardians Time Served MC Book 5) by Cee Bowerman is a highly entertaining MC romance. Filled with hilarity, the characters of this small Texas town have created an amazing family that consistently have each other's backs. Captain is probably my favorite character, but every one of these Timed Served guys have found a space to burrow into my heart. I enjoyed his story so much because of his vigilante history. But personally, his professional goals are truly commendable and needed. I adore him just for his determination on Desi's behalf! Matalie is just about perfect. Not only does she catch Captain's eye and heart, she matches him professionally and her desire to help those who cannot help themselves is selfless and heartwarming. I love that she is also tenacious and fiercely protective of her niece. I would be remiss if I did not mention the Crazy Coven as they are integral to this series and the Time Served guys. Their support, welcome and acceptance goes a long way in bringing Matalie and August into the Time Served fold and to Captain's amused dismay, they fit right in!
The plot continues to reveal more and more about the troubles embedded in Tenillo and suspected antagonists are brought to light. But the subplot that was most enjoyable and heartwarming involved the main characters of this story and answers the cliffhanger from another series set in Tenillo. It's a little shock and awe, but in a really fantastic way that gives sibling rivalry a new perspective. It was really spectacular to me as my wish for the reveal came true!
Overall, Cee Bowerman brought yet another Timed Served alpha to life in living color, a lady love who matches him in every way and DNA results that make his life richer and beyond everything he ever thought would be possible.

I loved the banter between all the characters, and the big reveal for Cap.
I didn't really like how different he was in this book than he was in the earlier ones. He came off as a joker and friendly but in this book he seemed like an afterthought.
This book seemed to focus more on the town happenings and introducing new players, but I didn't really get the "in-love, couple" vibe from them.

I also have an issue with the details being wonky...
-there are some times when the POV just switches in the middle which pulls me out of the story.
-the way the quotes are done when the whole group together is just TERRIBLE!! I almost NEVER know exactly who is speaking
-At one point in this book it's mentioned that Preacher and Blue are married, then later Blue is referred to as his girlfriend.
-Jackie is first mentioned as Omen's fiancé, but then later he's yelling at Cap that she's his wife.
-there is A LOT happening off page because it happens in the Ares books, but since the 2 I read were AWFUL I quit the series. It would be great if there was some sort of informal recap of the new people or situations that aren't shown in this series (some of us do not have the patience to read bad books for a few details)
-it was odd to have the whole move based on August and the big reveal just for her to fade out of the story
-the "10 years later" jump was a bit weird.. but not as weird as Blue and Preacher's "a few years later" where we got a glimpse of their wedding day then back again at the start of this book.

I didn't enjoy this as much as the others and now I'm worried if they will all start falling off like this one.

This is the 9th book in the Tenillo Guardians series (but the 5th book about the Time Served MC). While it is a standalone, I truly believe that reading the previous books 1-8 in the series will enhance your enjoyment of this book. This book is about Captain (aka Augustus Brass) of the Time Served MC and Matalie Conroe (a former convict herself with a bit of a secret). Matalie is hired by Captain to work as his associate and she comes with a big secret. This book has it all it has laughs, mysteries that are solved, siblings found, etc. One of my favorite scenes is a karaoke session with the Time Served MC, Ares Infidels MC and their women.

Cee writes stories of wonderfully strong women who meet and fall for strong, protective alpha males and this one is no exception. I really would love to be part of this girl tribe. This series is a bit darker than her other series but I loved it.

In this book we find out a bit more about the players causing problems in the not so sleepy, small town of Tenillo, TX and get a few more answers to the puzzles of these crimes and find there are still a few more criminals to be found. I can’t wait for all the rest of the stories and if I could; I’d live in Tenillo, TX.

The series will alternate between the Time Served MC (by Cee Bowerman) and the Ares Infidels MC (written by Ciara St James).

Captain by Cee Bowerman is the fifth book in her series Timed Served MC. The Time Served MC series dovetails with the Ares Infidel MC series by Ciara St. James. The books can be read as standalones as each story has a central plot, but action is overlapping, and characters recur. Auggie ‘Captain’ Brass has paid his debt to society and is now giving back by providing pro bono legal help to people who are wrongly incarcerated or given unfair sentencing. His office has more work than he can comfortably handle, he needs another associate. Matalie seems to be the answer to his problems, she knows what it means to be on the wrong side of justice, she is a hard worker, and she comes with her own associate. From the moment Captain interviews her via video, he is captivated; but what will happen when he learns that every move has been orchestrated to put her and her associate in his orbit? Matalie was a strong and vibrant FMC; she matched Captain in passion, humor and sheer zest for living. I loved that while she used a bit of manipulation to meet him that she did not allow the secret to overshadow or derail their attraction. Some of the plots from other stories were resolved in Captain and other storylines were started. I love epilogues and this book has an awesome one. Both characters were mature and it was a pleasure to read their story.

I loved everything about this book. Cee Bowerman is a great author for easy reads with a lot of vigilante justice. The H and h are both strong and respectable characters who are also fun to read about. I can't wait for side character, August's, story now too. Please note that this series must be read with Ciara St. James' Ares Infidels series and in order.

One thing-which is a spoiler of sorts-Desi (we met in Omen's book by Ciara St. James) is no longer from Mississippi but now hails from Kansas. I thought for sure Desi was going to be Omen's sister-with the whole DNA ancestry deal-Mississippi and Louisiana are rather close-then he would help raise his biological niece / granddaughter. I mean it's still possible but the location of where Desi is from is now Kansas and not Mississippi-odd since Kinslee was from Kansas and there was the whole thing about her taking Desi to Kansas. Anyway...we did discover-really just confirm- Omen and Captain are siblings so there's that spoiler too.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I loved this story of Auggie "Captain" Brass finding his family. He is a man that is set with his new house, his life in the Time Served MC, and his law practice. Now he needs to bring on some help and the new hire is a woman that has her own agenda with seeking a job with him. However, it's not all bad. She is beautiful and comes as a package deal.

Captain and Matalie are a great duo working to help those that were incarcerated when they shouldn't have been and finding a path to their HEA. I loved the book and all the secrets revealed in it. I can't wait for more of the Time Served MC and Ares Infidels MC to come. The men and women in these books always have me laughing, stressing, and loving every page I read.

Captain, Matalie and August

Thank goodness for the DNA ancestry tree, because it can lead to interesting results. Even though August is now a young woman, she was happy to discover that her biological father didn't die in a prison riot like her mom, Cena claimed and also that she is so close to her amazing auntie Matalie and was willing to move to Texas together, and be introduced to her bio dad and also get to work with both of them in Captains law office. Another interesting turn of events was discovering Omen's brother. And yay for finally taking care of Detective Clinton. Happy reading.

A few surprises for the Captain

This is book five in the series and features Captain aka Augustus. As you know most of the characters have been in prison at some point in time. Captain decided to study law and get his degree. Now he also just finished on his new house with an in-law unit for his mom. Things are looking good and his practice is growing. So Linda, Captain’s mom, convinced him to hire another lawyer or two. Linda had a candidate named Matalie all ready to go. Plus her adult niece August makes the move to Tenillo, Texas to join the adventure. Their journey is filled with so many reveals. . . . Read On!

Captain: Time Serve MC is book 5 in the Tenillo Guardians TSMC series written by the talented Cee Bowerman. I knew from reading the other books in this series that this story was going to be a roller coaster ride of emotions, and I was not disappointed. Captain and Matalie story was full of humor, lots of surprises, wonderful hilarious characters, support, acceptance and a heartwarming romance. Also in the plot we find out a bit more about all the secrets and problems they have with crimes and the corruption in the small town of Tenillo, TX. Can't wait for more stories!!!

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a a pretty good book. I enjoyed all of the characters, well most of them. This was a book of determination, compassion, kindness, and being true to yourself and also falling in love. I enjoyed Cap and Matalie story. The author did an amazing job in putting these two characters together. All of the books that I've read so for were great and they also had some funny moments in them. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.

SO SO FUNNY!

I love Cee Bower books!
She is so funny and her characters for the series are awesome & hilarious.
I don't know any bikers.
I don't know anyone e that has been to prison, but I don't think that not all bikers & motorcycle clubs are evil.
I do think that they all deserve a 2nd chance even when they are out of prison and are trying to turn their lives back in order when society doesn't give them a 2nd chance in lives.

I definitely buy this series and any series that are related to Time Served.

Captain's book is full of surprises!

Cee Bowerman's TSMC books have all been great reads & Captain's book was just as great as all the others. It had lots of twists & turns, exciting unexpected revelations that had me not wanting to put this book down once I started reading it lol. And oh boy some of those steamy romance scenes was hot and of course you know when the coven of old ladies makes an appearance there is bound to be excitement, craziness, & lots of laughter too. Great well written story & I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Captain and Matalie

Matalie and Captain are perfection, and I'm loving how the men are all alpha without being total cavemen, and the women are all fierce without losing their feminine touch. Matalie's a total rockstar and deserves that Time Served award, and both she and Captain have gotten screwed over by the system, but they're not giving up. They're working their butts off to make things right, and I am so here for it. August needs her own book, pronto! I'm obsessed with this series and these characters!

Captain

Another perfect story from the Time Served MC. There were massive amounts of laughter and tears and the wonderful HEA I always know I'll have from a Cee Bowerman book. Best of all is family. Big or small, blood or not, family is the most important thing in life. It's not always about DNA although sometimes it helps. Thank you, Cee, for making my life brighter with your stories.

Great book

Every book is my next favorite book by Cee Bowerman. I love reading all of the Coven scenes and the new surprise relationship between Omen and Captain. I love that the deaths of the bad guys is a take on Fried Green Tomatoes.... And I love the mature serving chance love between Captain and Matalie (I love that name also) and the quirky name issue between Captain and August.

Thoroughly enjoyed the book.

The Importance of Family

I love this series and love these guys. With Captain’s book, I believe the focus is more on family ties. I love the direction this story took with Captain’s life. Of course there is the ongoing saga of cleaning up the town and you get to meet a couple of new Time Served guys. I love the brotherhood, the Crazy Coven, and the absolutely hilariousness when they cut loose. Eagerly waiting for the next one!

I really enjoyed this book and thought it was a great chapter in this series

I thought this book was well paced and had a nice balance between sweet sassy and serious. The author manages to convey the seriousness of topics related to trauma without loosing sight that life moves forward even when it seems challenging. I also continue to appreciate the light touch on angst and the focus on how love endures. I feel good at the end of these books.

Good reading

As always I love Cee's books. Loved these two together. So cute. The karaoke was funny. As well as the guys bantering in the clubhouse. I only thing I really want is maybe a few of the men find a little younger woman to have kids with. This group needs kids of they're own. It would be good for the other couples to hang out with them too. I can't wait for your next book. I pray Ciara keeps her kink out of the next one.
