I had never read this author before so didn't have any preconceived ideas about the series...but dead bodies at rest areas sounded promising. It wasn't a bad story by any means, but I had trouble really caring much for the main character of Ashley Hope. The story line was promising and there were a lot of twists and turns as well as a lot of bodies. Of course, the body count was supposed to build up to further the plot along. The story was interesting, but I didn't find myself really caring much as the outcome was fairly predictable, but to be fair...I would be willing to give the series another try.

Ashley has finally been accepted to work on a trial basis at TBI and has been assigned a new partner, Wyatt Clark, with who, at first, she does not feel especially at ease. But, she is a professional, and work together they must. The case is a difficult one, hitchhikers are being killed and their corpses are dumped along the highway. They follow quite a few leads till they find the right one! This story is full of twists and turns, a touch of humor and romance, and a very difficult problem for Ashley to deal with!

Fantastic read

## Loved it. Ashley was eager and resourceful when it came to catching the killer. The jury is still out on the new partner Wyatt. Not too sure about him yet. The story was fast paced and progressed nicely. Will definitely check out the next book.
