Two teams of pipe-hitting special-operations Marines, a tribe knit tight as steel cable.
One Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman, struggling to find his place and keep the others alive.

And everything at the end of the world exploding spectacularly at all times…

The world’s last nuclear supercarrier, its support ships, and their Marine Raider guardians have survived the first months of post-Apocalypse. But now they must keep their 7,500 souls fed, their non-nuclear vessels fueled, and their honor clean – by deciding whether to risk everything by coming to the aid of beleaguered American troops in contact, in the most remote combat outpost in the world. Their lonely battles and struggles will take them from the teeming slums off the west coast of India, to the world’s tallest building in Dubai, to an idyllic desert-island paradise they can briefly call home, and finally into the unforgiving heights and impossible decisions of the Hindu Kush.

Brotherhood. Sacrifice. Survival.

Truly Outrageous Action that keeps me begging for more

I have read the entirety of these novels and can state without reservation that they define the genre of pitting the might of the military against the Zombie freaking apocalypse. Basically leaving 2 bastions of civilization to fight the billions of undead in the way Michael spins the tales is worthy of multiple reads to ensure nothing gets missed. The accuracy and detail of the weaponry involved in the hands of his character development has me hooked and looking for the next novel as soon as I have completed the current has not diminished an iota through all. Only having to wait a few more days for the next installment is truly a Christmas miracle. Thank you sir, thank you. I'm counting the hours.

Another amazing action novel featuring Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman Thomas J. “Yaz” Yaskiewicz

One of the Marines of Teams 1 and 2, A Company, 2nd Marine Raider Battalion, currently aboard the John F Kennedy Strike Group. To their knowledge they were the lone survivors of the zombie apocalypse. Pipe hitting operators one and all. Safe at sea, but forced to brave the inlands for supplies and ammo, every raid could be the last for the thousands of survivors aboard the ships in the strike group. The Kennedy alone crewed five thousand, not an insignificant number.

Non-stop blood spraying, bullets flying, infected growling, injured groaning, wild action! Very hard to put the story down long enough to see what the wife has been calling about. My answer, "People are dying!" seemed to do little to remove the glare from her eyes. But in between chores, I turned some serious pages and finished today! Wow! Outstanding action! Great storyline, fantastic characters and a master storyteller! This is a great read!

Keeps Getting Better

Each book draws me into this story even more. Yaz is a fascinating character. He is s a hero who doesn't see himself as one. Wants to be a part of his team and save everyone as the team medic. The ship has kept him and the others alive, but they find out they are not the only fighting force floating out there. I look forward to the next book. Will warriors set aside past battles to work together to save what is left in this ravaged world, or will battles from the past keep them fighting each other. Great series I highly recommend it.

I am absolutely hooked on this series and I know I won't do it justice with my words, but here goes. Strong Military guys and zombies leads to an explosive, exciting and fast paced story. A thrilling ride that will have you right there in the midst of it all. This is the third book in the Raiders series and I highly recommend you start where it all began in the Arisen series all the way to here. You won't be disappointed.

The tradition continues brilliant quality reading and writing

The tradition continues brilliant quality reading and writing that tells you a story within a storyline and series of books I loved and the characters are a shining example of modern military action and warfare unleashed. Linked to the bond between brothers in combat operations. We fight for the guy either side of you he is truly your brother.

Excellent Series Continues👏

As usual there are excellent characters involved in an intense storyline that includes an abundance of action. After numerous volumes, Mr. Fuchs keeps the plot fresh with excellent top quality writing. It is obvious that much research has been done in all things military, including the detailed work of the SARCS. I've already acquired volumes 4 & 5!

I really enjoyed this and it was a marvellous addition to the Arisen universe with plenty of high octane over the top Michael Bay'esque action sequences along with a love of military hardware and tactics. There were quite a few threads left unanswered at the end of the book but I'm hoping that means there's another one coming sometime soon.

Good story but...

...referencing things which occurred AFTER the original time line. Not sure why those things had to be referenced in this parallel story line, all the same, a good read.
