After discovering the truth behind her attack, Kee tries to return to life as usual. However, too much has changed.
Especially her.
In an effort to move forward, Kee takes a small holiday getaway that quickly turns dark when she discovers an underground black market. Kee needs Lucas' help for a rescue mission, but he needs something in return.
Kee thought she felt the sting of betrayal before, but nothing could have prepared her for what was to come.

4.5⭐️’s Ok, I loved SKIN…I hoped this one would exceed my expectations and it did! SHIFT is brutal, sexy 😳 (did I say that!?) addictive to the point of obsession - I’m a fan. Found family, loyalty, betrayal, courage, power - sooooo many things to keep me turning the pages. This was so visual, filmic - I could picture the scenes. I’m still torn between #teamcain or #teamlucas but then the author had to throw Samson in the mix and for me, dragon trumps vampire & wolf hands down. My only disappointment is that I couldn’t race to amazon to get the next book. I need more!
This has been a sequel that I was really looking forward to, as I thorougly enjoyed book one, Skin, and boy, Shift did not disappoint. What's not to love, Shifters - of all different varieties - Vampires, blood feuds and found family. I loved being back with Kee and her pack and I loved the other characters, old and new (well, loved to hate some of them). I am now going to 'patiently' be waiting on book three.
Could I love this series anymore after the first? The answer is absolutely-freakin-lutely, Wagner has done it again, taking you on a wild ride of ups and downs with the right amount of spice thrown in. I started this less than 24 hours ago and now I'm waiting with zero patience to be pulled back into this amazing world! 10/10
So there’s vampires, wereanimals, shapeshifters, and pretty much every other type of magical being but no therapists??? Like come on I was hoping for some more character development in the second book but it was the same cycle. I hope they really do get their shit together for the last book cause everyone is way too grown to be acting like this
If we had an emotionally intelligent Kee I really think she would say fuck Cain and Lucas and go with Samson lol
There’s not enough space to say how much I loved this book. There were highs and there were lows. There were times when I’d yell out loud about a moment that had happened. Either in a bad way or good way hahaha. Kee makes a great Alpha to her pack. And I’m glad Kee got her revenge. Still hate Cain. Always #teamlucas!

If you enjoyed Skin, Shift is amazing. Honestly as much as I loved Skin, this book made reading the first one even better. Some people say it's hard to write a good sequel but Ally clearly has no issues. Characters built in the first book really find their arcs here and I cannot wait for the third and final book!!!
Best way I can come up with to describe this series is Adult Twilight meets Adult Teen Wolf in all the best possible ways!! Such a fun read. With all the twist and turns. Love the characters. Love the way you really get to know each and every character in this series…
Just truly a great series. Highly recommend to Fantasy Romance readers.
Wow just wow. Couldn’t love this book more. Even with all the alphahole energy. Only wish that we would have found out why Kee was able to hear Samson in her mind. 😏
Review: This book follows the story of Kee and the aftermath of her brutal attack and revenge from book 1, Skin. We learn so much more about the pack dynamic and we get a lot more of Lucas 😉. We learn more about Kee’s childhood and background and what has shaped her into the woman she is becoming. This book felt way different from the first in that it’s so much darker and more complex and the characters are so much more complex. Overall this is a must read for those who read Skin, like True Blood, or anything having to do with vampires and werewolves. You can also check out episode 7 of my podcast to hear my chat with Ally as we dive into the book and see what’s next for the series.
