Seeking an adventurous life in the West was her dream! Fighting for his heart will be her tough reality…
Joanna Buckley never believed that her future would depend on her decision to accept the marriage proposal of a man that she is barely attracted to. Against her father’s will, she declines that proposal, yet by sheer luck, she comes across a MOB ad about a cattle rancher who is in search of a wife.
Arthur Adams is the owner of a vast ranch in Hamilton, Idaho. Even though he is a gifted man and the dream husband of many local women, he feels no attraction to them. All his hope about a happy marriage is set on a MOB ad that he secretly placed in the newspaper.
Even from the first letters they exchanged, Joanna and Arthur felt a strange kind of magnetism between them. Indeed, after several months of correspondence, they decide to meet and get married. Few words could describe how happy they were feeling during the wedding ceremony. Yet that happiness wouldn't last for long. A face from Arthur’s past will threaten the peacefulness of their wedding life, whilst his mother, much to her disappointment, will soon find out that Joanna is not used to the type of work required for being a rancher’s wife.
What Arthur and Joanna know for sure is that they can’t live without each other. Yet, a lot has to be done in order to secure for themselves a happy future.
I enjoyed reading your first book. It was a wonderful story. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because of the "racing' feeling I was getting as I read it. It was rapidly moving from one thought to another. I would advise slowing it down by putting more detailed information in certain paragraphs.
Joanna has more patience than I do, but I love that she doesn’t let either her husband or mother-in-law walk all over her. Linda probably didn’t realize how hard it would be to give up the reins of the house and the heart of her son. Arthur had a temper that really needed to be controlled. He was a good man but an uncontrolled one. Bravo, Joanna, for calling him on it. Rita Wethers gave us romance, humor, conflict, compromise and mystery. I enjoyed this book.

This is an awesome read about a city lady be came a mail order bride for a Montana rancher. The storyline was great along with strong and amazing characters. Grab it and you will love it too.
Initially it was not the rancher who was insecure but later he did only once. She showed her love over and over for him and his family. This love brought the family together.
