A price had been paid. One none of us were prepared for.
For just a moment, I allowed myself to believe things would be okay—that I could find a way to recover from my past and move on. Except life quickly proved happily-ever-after’s were nothing more than fantasy for me.
I didn’t know who was responsible for turning our home into a bleeding inferno, but I would soon. And when I did? I’d stop at nothing to make sure they felt every whip of anguish I’d been struck with.
With time running out, it was up to Maciah and me to seek vengeance. Our hearts might be shattered, but our determination is unbreakable. With Viktor in our sights, we’re ready to end what he started all those years ago.
Even if it means putting our own lives on the line.
This is the final book in the Scorned by Blood series! Check out Mystics and Mayhem for more from this world!

Good ending to the series. I still find myself having a less than loving feeling toward Maciah. He was an weak MC, in my opinion. Amersyn came into her full power in the end. It was beautiful yet heartbreaking, due to the thing that pushed her to fully open to her power. The ending was hard to read. I did not see it coming and I re-read it multiple times hoping I misunderstood. Hoping there was some way to come back from it....there was not.
This was an EPIC finale to the amazing trilogy! Maciah and Amersyn gave us the ride of our lives with this final episode of a thrilling story. From the start of the book we were in for a never-ending fantastical journey where Amersyn comes full circle and meets her destiny with arms wide open. Her relationships with every single member of the nest grows deep and strong, and her bond with Maciah is at its peak, fortifying each other and their union. Something that I loved so much in this book is the phenomenal character development not just for the main character but even the supporting ones. Their coming together and working jointly with others, who were a pleasant surprise to see again (wink wink cameos!), was absolutely amazing. There was heartache and loss, which had me gasping out loud, and there was utter joy which had me shrieking with laughter. I loved all the feels that Heather had me experiencing. I highly recommend this book and the entire trilogy!
Well I’ll be damned. I didn’t think Heather could outdo herself like this but daaaang she did. Whilst my emotions are still on the rollercoaster ride that is this story. This is an easy 5 stars to give. A story that can make you feel so strongly and has you blaming onions for your stingy eyes deserves all the stars. Wouldn’t you agree?
So whilst cutting my non existing onions (shh don’t tell nobody that)…I needed a minute to just be like how could you do me like this Heather?! And whilst I’m still all aboard that train I love the fact that she can mess with my emotions so easily. So whilst I’m holding a teensy bit of a grudge against her currently… I love her and the amazing journey this book is. It really is a book about finding your people, your home and that with them you can get through anything. Which warmed my heart so much. Our dear Amersyn started off with nobody and as the series progresses you see her let people in and that’s such a beautiful thing to watch bloom. People accepting you for who you are and making you the best version of yourself. Beautiful. No, no I’m not gonna cry.
This book was just incredible. The characters (oh the characters!) I adored them. So relatable and loveable. The story development and growth was something I truly loved experiencing. It took me a little to get fully invested in this series world but once Heather got her claws into me, I was a complete goner. I truly think this could be some of Heather’s best works yet. I know right?! You’d think that was impossible. But with every story this girl releases, she herself shows so much growth. And I’m here for it all.
With everything coming to a head, the final battle is nigh and players are bringing their all. So be prepared for anything.…anything. It’s time for Amersyn and her friends to take down Viktor and his nest once and for all. With plot twists and turns, expect the unexpected folks. And even then you’ll probably still get shocker punched (I spelt it wrong for a reason lol).
This book I would definitely recommend reading. So do yourself a favour and add it to the list. You guys can thank me later 😉. This book releases on the 20th January but if you want to read now the paperback just went live.
Thank you so much Heather for providing me with the ARC of this incredible mind-blowing journey. As always it’s a pleasure being apart of your team, even when you are a little bit evil. 😜 I can’t wait for others to read this awesome story you created.
Anywho, I’m gonna leave it at that and am going to find myself some chocolate to eat now lol. I know I’m complaining but my heart hurts. You’ll understand. But I did like how their story was wrapped up. I’m curious to see what more Heather has in store for us in the MM world.
Til next time. Happy reading.
Ps my computer has decided to move on to its next life (RIP you had a good life!)….so whilst my reviews for a time will be lacking the gifs I hope they still get across my real feels.
WOW..............Heather Renee can write a book to rip your heart out and put it back together. This book is no exception and she does not disappoint. After the crazy cliffhanger in Book 2, Vampire Ash, I was so scared to see what happens. The story took off from where it ended and it was non-stop action . Micah and Amersyn go on the hunt to avenge their losses. There are challenges and betrayals that the duo was not expecting. I tore through this book because I could not wait to see how it ended. I experienced all kinds of emotions while reading. This is how I know a series is worth reading. When an author can make you FEEL like Heather Renee does, you know the writing is stupendous and worth the time. I will forever be a fan and will read anything Heather Renee writes. Thank you for taking me on this journey and I can't wait to see what you have in store for the next series. If you have not started this series, RUN......... GO NOW and pick it up. This book and the entire series gets 5 spectacular stars!
This book ends the trilogy nicely. After the horrific ending of the last book, Amersyn had to regroup and recover. Victor is coming for her and she is not prepared. There is a lot of character growing for both Amersyn and Miciah. Their personalities mesh quite nicely. This book has a fair amount of action, some humour, some very sad parts and some happy ones. Amersyn has made friends and family within her new nest as well as many others that come to help. Although there is a lot of sex between the two characters, it is well written and not as overpowering as in the previous series. It’s nice to see characters from before. This was a quick, easy, enjoyable read. I will continue in this world.
If you've read book 2, hopefully you have, you'll know there was an insane cliffhanger and this picks right up from there! There are definitely a lot of ups and downs through this final book in Amersyn's story and I don't want to spoil a single one for you, just be ready and hang in there! I feel like everything that happens is so necessary to Amersyn's character growth and the story feels very genuine through its conclusion. I loved it so much and I hope we get to here from these characters again in some way!!
After the ending of the last book I didn't know how this one would play out they were left severely outnumbered against a powerful enemy, Amersyn didn't know how to properly use her new gifts or if they even worked on someone older and stronger. Maciah and Amersyn decided to pack up and go to LA to his other home to try and regroup with the handful of survivors from his nest. Maciah had never been good at trusting others but he had to learn to do so if they had a chance at going up against Viktor especially when they suspected they had a mole in their now small nest feeding information to their enemy. The traitor was one i didn't suspect I had thought it was someone else entirely 🤣 They may have finally won against their enemies but it came with a high price one they'd never be able to easily move past but I'm glad Amersyn finally got her closure and HEA.
Definitely Recommend this trilogy to anyone who loves all things vampires and Enemies to Lovers.
wow what a nail bitingly edge of my seat nearly peeing myself action packed story, after the ending in book 2 i was terried my favourite characters had all died in the nest fire, dam my heart stopped i cried like a baby when they found some of the nest...lloved this series and was so happy when bennet came back for nikki then bam bloody viktor reins everything.viktor underestimates amersyn and pays the price.. love rachel amersyn and nikkis womance.
Destroyed! I am not in control of my emotions. THAT ENDING!!! WHYYYYYYYY?????? I feel like my heart has literally been ripped from my chest. After the ending of Vampire Ash that should have been a warning that this author was going to be brutal and leave us sobbing uncontrollably on the floor in a dark room. Vampire Vow starts with the characters feeling such despair and heartache for what they've lost. And if that's not enough they also have to deal with a traitor in their midst who players their espionage roll really well because their identity was the last person on my list of suspects. Not that there's many with how the second book ended.
Despite the brutal crushing of my soul and happiness there was lot of good times in Vampire Vow. I loved getting to finally meet a certain new male CoughHeatherCough....they were an interesting character and I enjoyed getting a little more insight into who they were and having one or two questions answered but mostly been left with a ton more.
Maciah is just the absolute perfect mate for Amersyn! It was nice seeing Maciah's emotional development as things are thrown at them both to test them and their bond. As always though he responds in his steadfast protector way, always knowing what to do and being the calming logical leader we all know and love. I also really like finding out why Maciah acts the way he does and what caused it.
What I enjoyed most about Vampire Vow was the character growth that Amersyn has gone through. She is quite different from the beginning of the series in both her actions and thoughts which has only come about thanks to her protector and her devoted friends.
I have experienced an incredibly wild ride of emotions in the final instalment to this series that I think I've felt enough of them for a whole month. Well done Heather Renee on another fantastic book.
Unputdownable glee and heartbreaking loss had me riveted to these phenomenal pages! Oh my poor heart! It's been pulverized throughout this beautiful book. We read some very gut wrenching goodbyes that I was absolutely floored by. This entire series has been one surprising twists after another. I've had to keep picking my jaw and heart up from the ground throughout. If you want fast paced action and non-stop intrigue, pick this up!
Amersyn and Maciah broke all the rules. Now they're reaping their rewards and losses. This was such a bittersweet conclusion and I still am reeling from the deaths and destruction. The Epilogue was uplifting while honoring our tender and bruised feelings. I wasn't ready to say goodbye.
When Heather Renee gives us a new series, I never know what's in store. It's always hilarious and heartbreaking and the love elements always make me giddy. She's not afraid to break her characters or her readers and it's quite the experience to live in her worlds for just a little bit.
This is one of my all time favorite vampire series ever. I didn’t think my heart could hurt anymore than it already did at the end of Vampire Ash but oh no this author decided to kick it up a notch and completely break me and my soul into a million pieces. I am talking about some gut wrenching moments that I never even saw coming that left me a sobbing mess on the floor wondering how I could continue on. This is one of the best series that will have you on the edge of your seat from the very first page in book one all the way to the end of book 3. I can’t even fully articulate how much you need this in your life. Maciah and Amersyn are everything. Their journey, their ups and down, the love, loss, and devastation made this read even more memorable and will have me thinking about it for a long time. This story deserves way more than 5 stars way more than 10 stars I cant even put a number on it because its just that good.
This is the last book in scorned by blood series and it did not disappoint....maciah and amersyn arrive back to there nest as nothing more than ash and there whole world is torn apart because of what Simon did!!! They have literally had to try and cope through all the loss that they have gone through.... but all is not lost when they find nikki, zeke, Rachel and a few others still alive... Only someone is working against them and feeding info back to Victor I was very surprised when I found out it was Eddie..... there was some losses in this book which really got to me as I loved those characters but I also loved how amersyn finally tapped into all of her power she had to protect the rest of her nest and the love of her life... I loved the fact that Sam made an appearance in this book too.... well done Heather on another fantastic series which kept leaving people wanting more all the time

Vampire Vow (Scorned by Blood #3) Author: Heather Renee
Stars: 4/5
Maciah and Amersyn blow me away. I love Heather Renee's writing style of sweet, slow burn love with action thrown in and supporting characters that give you all the feels. I am sad this adventure is over, but I know new characters and new adventures will be right around the corner.
This book was the perfect conclusion to the Scorned by Blood series and took me on a roller coaster of laughing and crying and gasping and laughing again. AND just when I least expect it she sprinkles in a cameo...EEKKK, I freaking love those. I loved watching Amersyn grow as a character through the series and in this book in particular she learns how strong she can truly be.
I recommend this series to vampire romance fans or PNR fans in general.
Enemies to Lovers Burn the world Bada$$ female Biting Bonding
The Scorned by Blood trilogy takes place in Heather's Mystics and Mayhem Universe where we meet several new characters and are visited by several past characters. Amersyn is a cheeky vampire hunter that only wants to avenge her families death. During this series we follow her down the path of retribution with twists and turns. Fighting for what is right isn't always easy or the path we originally set out for and Amersyn learns that along the way.
This series is filled with twisted and turns, sorrow, heartache and pain. But along the way Amersyn finds friends, family, love and a new love for herself. I really enjoyed the characters, action packed conflict and love that was written. Heather knocked another one out of the park! I love the MM universe!
Roller coaster of an ending. Giving the story like a 3.75 rating. It was good the action and character development was there. This vampire series is written very YA in my opinion I prefer more gore but that is just me. If you like your vampires to be very Edward Cullen-esk than this is def the series for you. The spice was good and the best I think Heather has written is. I’d give it 🌶🌶 But all in all It was a good/sad ending to a series. I like this world and the cross over of previous characters.
This had me crying, laughing, and cussing at Heather. It was a wonderful book to end this series. It nicely wraps up the lose ends. Amersyn and Maciah make a powerful couple. They work together. Amersyn's snarky attitude is still present and Maciah is still Maciah. How many of their nest members/ family are alive after the attack of the drones? Who is responsible for sending the drones? Was it Silias? Viktor? Could it have been someone else? So many questions, but you need to read it you find out. Twist and turns throughout the book.
What an epic conclusion to this series! I'm still reeling and love that lingering feeling. After the second book, I was in all kinds of knots and appreciate how Renee handled those difficult scenarios and the following events. The relationship between Amersyn and Maciah is *fans self* and I enjoyed watching Amersyn really embrace her new powers. The story itself was action-packed and kept me on the edge of my seat with heart-pounding until the very end. A great and fitting ending for the series and characters!
An amazing, action-packed, intriguing installment, that will enthrall you until the last page!!! 🤩 Shocking twists and turns that will make you feel a rollercoaster of emotions, my heart is bleeding for the losses, and happy for Amersyn and Micah's well deserved HEA!!! 😭❤ #bittersweetemotions #myhearthurts Couldn’t ask for a better ending, Heather's writting is brilliant and delivers all you expect and more!!! 🤗🥰 #favoriteauthor Now, I can’t wait to know what she has in store for us in this amazing Mystics and Mayhem universe!!! 😍🖤🔥
So I know we can’t always get a happily ever after but I wanted one... I loved this series so much and it’s always so hard when you don’t get what you were hoping for. I tend to invest myself more in the side characters... I think I like the mystery of them and unfortunately they don’t always get a happily ever after or their stories are left untold. I’m conflicted on how I feel the story was great but ended sad and well I feel like it’s unfinished because I’m missing my happily ever after
Oh my goodness!! I don’t know how the author did it but so much was packed into this book!! It was nice to see how Amersyn and Maciah handled everything together. The ending is satisfying and I was happy to see Sam from the other series as well!! I’m not ready to say goodbye to these amazing characters. The narrator, Vanessa Moyen knocked it out of the park! She is amazing and portrayed all of the characters with a wide variety of tones and and inflections. If you enjoy ready paranormal romance with some spicy scenes then grab this series!
Holy crap!! Heather Renee literally had me captivated from start to finish. I just love this series so much! I didn’t know how she was going to top or come back from that cliffhanger in the last book but oh man was it all so worth it. Between the action and the feelings this book takes you on you’re in for a full on ride! It’s bumpy and not necessarily a clear cut path but the end is worth the ride! I can’t recommend Heather or this series enough
Author Heather Renee wrote an amazing ending for the series Scorned by Blood in the third installment, “Vampire Vow”. So many emotions will go through you especially in the ending. “Vampire Vow” is well written, and all the characters are well developed. So much that you feel right along with them. The ending battle between Amersyn and her friends and ally’s vs the horrible Viktor was epic. Definitely give this series a chance, you will not regret it.
Loving the Mystics and Mayhem world! And Amersyn is one of my favorite MCs of all time, even if she doesn't swear nearly enough. Her sarcasm makes up for it. I think my favorite part of the series is the open and honest communication between Amersyn and Maciah. They also never let their friendships with others get in the way or fall away amidst their relationship with each other. Can't wait to see if they reappear in future Mystics and Mayhem books!
I thought this book was a good ending to this series. The FMC sure has a lot of people trying to kill her. One of the things I like about the FMC is that she does not let her man do things for her. She’s trying to learn how to use her new powers and she finds out that all of her powers were not available to her without a witch. There was definitely a lot of action in this book.
Vampire Vow is a phenomenal read!! It picks up right where book 2 ended and has you in a tailspin with non stop action and emotions running high as your reading this epic story with a bittersweet ending. This was one of the best series I’ve read to date. So looking forward to more in the amazing Mystics & Mayhem world that Heather Renee creates!
Amersyn is finally accepting her new family when things go up in smoke. Has anyone survive the fire? Can Amersyn pull it together to finish what she started when she was younger and avenge her families death? This was an amazing book that I couldn't put down. I can't wait to see what Heather Renee writes next.
Wow what a way to end an amazing series. This book answers all of those pesky questions you have been wanting to know. Plus you get more from the swoon worthy Kai.... and of course the twin. I still want to be friends with them, just saying. This book is action packed and is a great ending to an amazing series
Wow what a ride this book and series has been! This book made me cry and laugh so much and I'm sad that it is over. Be prepared with tissues for the tears and be careful drinking for the laugh out loud moments. While I'm sad it is over I'm ready to see them in the next series.
Of a series. It was epic and heart wrenching and full of all the emotions. It was intense and filled with all the tension. Ugh I loved every moment of this series. I loved the characters so much and I love this world! I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. Heather brings it big time in this series and it’s a must read!
I loved the ending to this series! Another amazing way to end an amazing series! I had so much fun reading about these characters and this world. I couldn’t get enough of it all and was a bit sad to say goodbye but I was so happy with how it answered all the questions I had and had a great ending for some seriously amazing characters!
