Fugitive FBI Agent Mia North knows that hunting down killers and solving new—and old—cases is the only way to clear her name. When a rash of high-school girls are found murdered, discovered on the soccer field, the case is personal for Mia. Can she find and stop the killer—and figure out who framed her—before she is caught by the U.S. Marshals?
In SEE HER HIDE (A Mia North FBI Suspense Thriller—Book Two), Special Agent Mia North is a rising star in the FBI—until, in an elaborate setup, she’s framed for murder and sentenced to prison. When a lucky break allows her to escape, Mia finds herself a fugitive, on the run and on the wrong side of the law for the first time in her life. She can’t see her young daughter—and she has no hope of returning to her former life.
The only way to get her life back, she realizes, is to hunt down whoever framed her.
Mia’s former partner desperately needs her help: high-school soccer players are turning up dead in neighboring towns, with no rhyme or reason. Mia may be the only one who can solve it.
But her position is tenuous and she has no one to back her up.
Might she, working alone and racing against the clock, stumble right into the killer’s hands?
An action-packed page-turner, the MIA NORTH series is a riveting crime thriller, jammed with suspense, surprises, and twists and turns that you won’t see coming. Fall in love with this brilliant new female protagonist and you’ll be turning pages late into the night.

I was really thinking about not reading any more of this book or the rest of this series. I think the author she reread book one an book to find the biggest mistake that will bite you in the nose. Really need a proof reader. Other then this stupid mistake the story was good. Move a little to slow for my tast.
This was a pretty good sequel to the first book. There were a couple of mistakes I noticed though, but it's ok, it was still a great story. Still loving or protagonist even though she is now a rogue FBI agent. Not sure where she will go with this. I would like to see Mia actually able to come out of hiding and be an agent again solving some crimes legally. I guess we will see what happens.
See Her Hide by Rylie Dark is one of those fast, gritty FBI thrillers that knows what it’s doing and doesn’t pretend to be anything else. It’s the second book in the Mia North series, and the hook is solid- Mia is a former FBI agent who’s been framed for murder, blown her whole career, and is living in survival mode. She’s on the run, cut off from her old life, and separated from her kid — which already puts her in a rough emotional place. Then teenage girls start turning up murdered, and her old partner pulls her back in because she’s still the best person for the job. What works is the momentum. The pacing doesn’t drag, and once it gets going, it goes. The tension comes less from “who is the killer” and more from “how long can Mia keep this together before everything collapses again.” There’s a constant sense of pressure — she’s chasing a killer and that double threat keeps things moving. That said, it’s not reinventing the genre. If you’ve read a lot of crime thrillers, some of the beats will feel familiar- disgraced agent, fugitive investigator, predictable twists at expected moments. The emotional depth is there, but it’s not super layered — the book cares more about keeping you turning pages than sitting in Mia’s psyche for too long. It’s a solid, binge-able thriller. Not artsy, not pretentious, not trying to be the smartest book in the room — just tense, readable, and effective. If you want something dark, fast, and easy to get lost in for a night or two, this one does the job. It’s the kind of book you pick up “just for a chapter” and it’s way later than you meant it to be.
Really love this series. This is the 2nd in the series about Mia North, who was a FBI agent. She had a lot of solved cases, but one went badly for her and she wound up being accused of murder and was found guilty and sentenced to prison.
But, Mia finds a way to escape and she is still on the run. She is trying to find any information she can on the man she knows set her up, so she can prove her innocence and get home to her husband and daughter. Mia's former partner, David, still believe in her and tries to help any way he can. But, now David needs her help. He is on a case where a 2nd girl has been killed and the murder is much like one that had happened a year before. Both of these girls are from the same high school, they were friends and killed in the same way!!
Mia is trying to help David out as much as she can being on the run. She is taking too many chances though and with a U S Marshall after her, she just might get caught and brought back to prison before she can prove her innocence!
FBI Mia North is on the run after escaping from custody. But can she find a way to clear her name & to be able to return home to her family? Her latest lead has turned up dead and now she has to figure out what to do next. Her partner David Hunter is always willing to help and he hopes that Mia might have some insight into his new case. But Mia almost gets caught by the US Marshal that is trying to find her. Will she be able to find the killer before more young women are murdered? Will Mia get away this time? A great read. Mia is a strong woman that believes in justice even if it means doing things outside of the lines. I really hope that she can find the proof that she needs so that she can clear her name. David Hunter is trying hard to be a good father but his focus is too much on Mia and I fear that he has too much to lose. Can't wait to see what happens next.
Mia has managed to get herself out of prison and is now living and hiding in the outskirts of Dallas whilst she tries to find a way to bring to justice the real culprit for the murder she has been tried and convicted. She longs to be with her family and to go back to work and when her partner makes contact asking for help to solve a string of murders of young women who went to the same high school she puts herself upfront, and this may place her in terrible danger. She is being hunted and her hunter is relentless, will she be able to continue in hiding? How will it affect her family? Her FBI partner? I'm very much looking forward to reading the next story in this series! As a member of the author's ARC team, I downloaded a free copy of this book and this is my honest review.
This is the second in the series, and I did not read the first. Even so, it can be read as a stand alone book because the main plot is not related to the previous book. Mia has escaped prison intent on clearing her name. In the meantime, a young girl is murdered in her backyard- a murder that closely resembles another that had taken place a year earlier. Her ex-partner asks her to risk capture by investigating. On her tail is a Federal Marshall intent on returning Mia to prison. It was a good enough read to be entertaining, but I am not a fan of stories that have no resolution. Luckily it was secondary to the main story. 3.5 stars
if i recall correctly, (no clue why, but for me i enjoyed book 2 a bit more than book 1 ...now that doesn't mean i didn't love book 1. just preferred book 2 more. lol!!) this was a book i had already gotten book 1 but had yet to read it?? and then got book 2 as well ...figured i better read them at the same time. what fun!! simple books are fun ...several of Rylie's book are free now. check Amazon now. i love how that works, you are reviewing and find new freebie. what fun!! check it out!! i will read more from RD. reading. laters.
A fugitive FBI agent Mia staking out a detective’s home She had been an easy target, after killing a man stalking her daughter he tampered with evidence framing her for murder. The detective and senate hopeful, a connection somehow, she wanted Rash of young women being killed, another connection to them Good tense plot, of how she is trying to clear her name, enjoyed reading Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
Most of the investigating is done by Mia despite the fact that she is an escaped prisoner.
The actual FBI agent assigned to the case gets Mia involved because she is such a good agent. Maybe, as a friend, he would help her stay free but no way would he get her involved with a new case.
Well written, interesting and suspenseful. Obviously left open for more in the series. Really a juxtaposition of feelings regarding right and wrong and the eternal question - does the end justify the means ?
I have never heard of Rylie Dark so I just happened upon this book and after reading a few chapters I was really excited to see what and where it went. Going to get the next book that was published.
I’m not even done reading yet but there’s so many continuity issues form book one to book two. Is the same person writing these? Do they need an editor? I’ve never done it but I’d be willing to be hired to at least keep the timeline and story intact.
There are so many continuity issues from the first book it’s like a different person wrote it! Names are different, her dead brother is now her dead sister, someone who was dead in book 1 is alive again…I couldn’t get past the first few chapters.

This continuing story of Mia, disgraced FBI agent was so thrilling and full of twist and turns. Will she ever be able to clear her name? Can't wait to read the next book and find out!
This is the second book in a series of 3. The books definitely need to be read in order & the first 2 finished with the main story line still wide open so I am hoping book 3 actually completes it.
Books 1 & 2 have been an easy read even though Mia gets herself into some tough situations.
To the very last page. Great storyline and speed of the story. True edge of your seat page turner! Loved it... the plot, the pace, and the surprise ending.
Mia’s on the run and old partner Davis is struggling with a murder case. The case of a murdered high school girl has them sharing files and meeting in secret. Lots of suspect and the murder is hard to weed out.
I want to give this book 3 🌟 stars but I've sighed and rolled my eyes so much at the TSTL movements made by the main character. Additionally, the editing or narration issue is really annoying.
2.5 stars It is just awkward to have the main character be on the lame. I want her to be exonerated not to constantly be hiding and not with her family!
