Going up against genuine super villains wasn't what Alex had in mind when he put on the costume, but he finds himself up against a foe much bigger than local thieves and muggers. Even with Joy by his side, is Alex ready to be a hero when villains are putting more and more people in danger?

I read this comic via Kindle Unlimited.

HERE WE GO!! So issue 2 left us off in a bit of a cliffhanger with Joy and Alex facing their first set of supervillains. However, there's a bit of a communication issue. These villains are actually trolls who are tired of living their life in the dark, under bridges, and inspired by Alex and Joy, they want to retaliate against the humans. But obviously, this isn't what Joy and Alex want. When they have to work to save people's lives, they end up potentially putting their own lives at risk when they are arrested. Can Cynthia and Ian save them before they are caught by the powers that be?

I am loving this series so far. I love the art, it's fun and dynamic and the characters are really fun too. I love Alex and I'm really interested to see where this is going to go. Chip Zdarsky is a really funny writer and I definitely need to pick up more of their stuff when this series is finished.

Still middle of the road for me.

Story is fine. Art is fine. It just hasn't done anything to stand out yet. I feel like we are getting somewhere, but I don't know if my interest is going to last.

Now we’re getting into the thick of it. This cliffhanger has me ready to pick up the next one sooner than later. Hopefully, Alex and Joy get themselves out of this pickle before things get worse.

#3 – The bridge trolls are on the loose (these characters are a bit lame). “Are you .. HELPING HUMANS?” – Troll. “.. I used to BE ONE. NOSTALGIA!” – Alex
