Basically just wanted to read this because I liked the trope in this but the guy is an misogynistic asshole who only cares about himself. I just want to address the fact that he cared more about the fact that she hid the son from HIM than he cared about having a son. Narcissistic ass. I stopped reading when the main characters started having sex, because
1. I didn’t give a fuck about them
2. He is a manipulative bitch
3. She is apparently unable to know her self worth
4. I knew that when they’d start having sex, they wouldn’t stop and the rest of the book would just consist of them having sex, I didn’t check to see if I was right but I’m pretty sure I am
I’d probably give this like 1,5 stars? But who even cares about the .5 if it’s 1 star already…

I knew Connor was going to make me fall and hard! I've been obsessed with him from the start but my gosh did he truly absolutely and utterly steal my heart, and his story with the badass Lily and cutest baby boy Colin is a freaking top tier perfection!
Connor and Lily are honestly so flaming and each of their interactions are everything! You can tell from pretty much the beginning how angsty this book will be but they also have incredible room-lighting-itself-on-fire tension, steam, chemistry and most importantly the passion oh my gosh, it's even more epic and beautiful than with Franklin and Kendall, oh yeah I didn't think that was possible either; oof I love it!
By now y'all probably know how the soft vulnerable moments totally own me and it was no different with Connor and Lily! The way his sweet cuddly nature came out beneath the darker parts only with Lily and Colin melted my heart. The amount of times I swooned I swear!!
It's no surprise that I'm in love with the plot of this book, I mean it has three of my absolute fav tropes and that combined with Billie Lustig's spectacular writing skills and characters who you are bound to fall head over heels in love with, is the best thing! And the plot really is that good with unique twists here and there keeping me on the tips of my toes all the time, eek wow!

I am in love with Connor Wolfe. No matter what brother it is, Billie always finds a way for a Wolfe brother to woo our hearts. Connor was so much more than I expected. With the trope of this book, we see a side to Connor that we probably wouldn’t have ever seen. Connor is now probably my second favorite Wolfe.
The Boston Wolfes are brothers you should never interact with unless it’s necessary. And Connor Wolfe is no exception. He’s fierce, a total merciless alpha, and yet completely at the hands of Lily and their son Colin. I adored Lily, she had her reasons that some may not like, but she’s protective and loves wholeheartedly and unbelievably sassy. Honestly, these two couldn’t be a more perfect match. They feel everything just the same.
Seeing the way these Wolfe brothers handled a new baby Wolfe into their lives was just- ugh, I can’t, it was everything and more. Ovaries bursting, especially with Reign. This book showed more of their power dynamic and how ruthless and cunning they can all be when necessary and when their family is threatened.
Connor was suspenseful, with a little bit of a mystery going on that weaves all the books together. It was explosive and sexy and Lily’s and Connor’s chemistry was on fire. Lily fits perfectly right in with the brothers, especially after her little stunt. The twists and turns will have you at the edge of your seat, just like all of Billie Lustig’s books. Each book is a standalone, but it all builds up to the next book. Reign was heavily influenced in Connor’s book, so I’m freaking ecstatic for his book. These Wolfe brothers man, they’re addicting.

I think the best way to describe Connor is "immensely captivating"
I devoured it so fast! And I mean under-24-hours-fast! It had me hooked all the way through - all from Billie's writing to Connor's evolvement to the smallest details to the hot Wolfe brothers.
One of the best things (there's a lot) is how the series already is so well knitted together. The books have different plots, yet they complete each other in the best way and leave you wanting SO MUCH more. Can we get book 3 now, please?
Connor is ruthless, possessive & grumpy - at least that's what you think you know about him from Franklin (the first book in the Boston Wolfes series). All of it is completely true yet he also becomes so much more. Lily, & Colin especially, bring out a soft side of him. Lily is sweet & strong, but also very much of a badass. Usually, I dislike this trope (I won’t say because of spoilers but if you do want to know dm me). It isn’t something I pick up to read and there’s been less than a handful that have actually done it for me.. this being one of them. But also the way it’s written is so unlike the usual stories based around this trope and it just worked SO well!
Connor is literally unreal. He doesn’t give a shit, will literally beat you black and blue before killing for fun and he’s my kinda mafia man. He’s so broody and unimpressed by everything around him but we also really start to get to see a whole different side to him as the story unfolds.
I loved Lily. She’s a powerhouse woman who won’t let anything stand in her way, especially Connor which makes for a very entertaining read between two very stubborn characters.
Their dynamic is incredible and what ‘brings them together’ even more so. Also one of my favourite aspects was seeing more interactions between the Wolfe brothers. They are fucking LEGENDARY! I swear I howled with laughter more than once, the humour and sarcasm between siblings was on point but also how when push comes to shove ultimately they’re this unbreakable brotherhood that no one wants to fuck with. I just love them all okay.
The smut is off the charts like always and that first chapter!!!🥵🥵🥵
I love Billie’s writing and I get so dragged into her stories and as a mafia lover, Connor did not disappoint and I can’t wait to see where the brothers take us next!

This was the best mafia book I’ve read in some time. It kept me engaged the entire time I was reading it, and I couldn’t put it down. It flowed so well. As much as I love the Fire Duet, I might have to say this is her best book yet?! It really surpassed my expectations, and Billie just keeps on serving.
I love this world Billie created. I love the Wolfe brothers. Their interactions are everything. They banter, chirp each other, but love each other fiercely through thick and thin. You can tell each of them would go to the end of the earth and back for one another. I love seeing them through each of their eyes. We’ve had Franklin, now Connor, with Reign and Killian to come! My love for each of them is only growing. I especially loved Franklin’s show of power in this book. Nothing but respect for MY alpha Wolfe.
Lily and Connor’s relationship is a rollercoaster; built up by sexual tension and mistrust from the situation they are forced into. Or, more like the one Connor kind of forced them into (oops). He is brute force, muscles his way into what he wants and intimidates his enemies. But Lily and another character turn him into a teddy bear. Lily breaks down his walls. Her personality, dirty mouth, and protectiveness matches his to a T. This book has Billie’s dirtiest, steamiest scenes yet… both Lily and Connor have mouths on them! I loved it. And you get to see this on the first page. Billie does not hold back (not that I would ever want her to.)
Like in Franklin, there is mafia action shown in Connor that shows both the power and ruthlessness of the Wolfes, and how the city of Boston will eat you up and spit you out without care. The plot never stalls, and had the amount of action I expect from a mafia book. Some of the books I have read lately haven’t lived up to it, but Connor does. There is heartbreak, shoot-outs, bloodshed, steamy sex, and fierce love. What we all want, right? <3 (I’m still not okay from the heartbreak tho. Billie really had to do that to me.)
Although this can be read as a standalone, I do recommend reading Franklin first because of the storyline Billie is beginning to weave, connecting the series together! The epilogue gives promise of something bigger to come, and I am both nervous and excited to find out what is it. There is so much promise for the rest of this series. I truly believe this series is going to be special, and one of Billie's best works.

Connor und Lily kennen sich von früher. Jetzt treffen beide nach Jahren wieder aufeinander. Doch die Situation ist eine andere als früher. Es gibt viele Hindernisse und Geheimnisse. Weitere Informationen zum Buch findet man im Klappentext. Connor und Lily sind zwei tolle Charaktere. Beide sind super ausgearbeitet und kommen sehr authentisch rüber. Das Buch ist von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite spannend. Es passieren viele unerwartete Dinge. Das Buch wird aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven erzählt. Durch die unterschiedlichen Perspektiven kann sich super in die Charaktere hineinversetzen. Das Cover passt super zum Buch. Der Schreibstil der Autorin ist absolut fesselnd und mitreißend. Mir hat das Buch gut gefallen. Ich kann das Buch nur weiterempfehlen. Absolute Leseempfehlung. ❤️❤️❤️

Connor plows into your heart with no apologies and zero qualms. He knows what he wants and he goes for it. Plus he's not shy in the bedroom and neither is Lily, which I love!
Lily gives it right back to Connor and that's exactly what he needs. She's also had to grow up fast over the last two years with the unexpected surprise Connor left her when they last met. Then she has to deal with more trauma when Emerson Jones becomes a player in her life.
Billie writes such great story lines with a plot! Smoking hot books with a plot!!! That's what everyone wants and needs in their life.
If you haven't started the series, I highly recommend that you change that.

I received an arc of this book . I love the broody Wolfe brothers this is #2 in the series and it didn’t disappoint. Connor and lily have great chemistry and I love that she holds her own with the broody dark Connor .I won’t give any spoilers but I will say I like lily for Connor and I liked that some secrets were revealed by the other brothers . The plot thickens as well in regards to the brothers enemies. Can’t wait for the next brother’s story. I gave it 4 stars because well frankly I rarely give any book I read a 5 only because I’m always hungry for more that being said I recommend this series and Connor was a great addition leaving me wanting more .

I have no words …. Billie has once again crushed me in the best way possible.
The spice … the romance … the alpha male …. AND A SURPRISE!
Connor is the alpha male and second Wolfe man, and BOY is he hot… His temperament, his personality, he is a true alpha male. Lily is stunning, sweet, and has the most amazing personality. Doesn’t let anyone tell her what to do (for the most part). These two are the perfect couple.
Their passion towards each other is BEAUTIFUL and HOT. I was NOT ready, and NEITHER will you be. It’s crazy passionate. They have one wild ride that will give you so many emotions.
I was tearing up in some parts, smiling in others, laughing. Plus we get more of the other boys and man do they make you smile. You get to see Lily and Connor in a different situation than Kendall and Franklin and it’s the most beautiful thing. I loved every second of this book and cannot wait to see the love it receives.
This book is one that will leave you speechless but so ready for the next installment.

This book was so typical and I have no clue why the other reviews are fawning over the hero. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t have multiple children running around given that he doesn’t use protection and of course the heroine was celibate during their 3 year separation and he wasn’t. Nothing special here.

Billie sure did know how to set the tone of this book, coming in hot from the very first page! But then again, I shouldn't be surprised because Billie does this to her novels. She instantly pulls me into the story, holding me captive throughout the book. But this one... so early on, the spice hit the roof! And compared to other dark romances, it's extra hot and spicy! Yes, "Connor" can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading book #1, "Franklin" first. Because personally, the world build up in this series is *chef's kiss*, so why not start from the beginning? Plus, this will enhance your reading experience and trust me, once you start, you can't get enough of the Wolfe brothers! Besides being a dark mafia and captive/taken romance, there's another trope. I'm not going to reveal which trope it is because it might give away spoilers. I'm aware that some readers might not be a fan of this certain trope (personally, it's one of my favorite tropes) but, this element works so well with the storyline.
Connor and Lily are two strong forces colliding together. Their first heated and steamy encounter was a night they couldn't forget. Three years later, they meet again, but it wasn't a pleasant reacquaintance, to say the least. Despite the complicated situation, Connor and Lily are still attracted to each other. Phew! These two! When the intense, hostile and thick tension between them escalated things got very steamy. Lily sure did surprise me! She's a great character! Lily has a nurturing personality; she provides and cares deeply about her loved ones. She can be seen as a "good girl", but looks can be deceiving. Underneath her sweet, innocent "angel-like" appearance, Lily is feisty and fiery. And believe me, she's no angel. She was blunt and wasn't afraid to demand what she wanted from Connor! He might have a tough and mean exterior but, two certain people managed to turn the "beast", AKA Connor into a "big cuddly teddy bear" (and yes, I swooned seeing these interactions). Because beneath his unbreakable exterior, Connor does have a big heart, he just doesn't show it to the outside world.
Connor Wolfe is the brute brother. All of the brothers are dangerous but, he is the one who is feared the most. Conner is moody, grumpy and has a volatile personality. Connor and Lily are two strong forces colliding together. Their first heated and steamy encounter was a night they couldn't forget. Three years later, they meet again, but it wasn't a pleasant reacquaintance, to say the least. Despite the complicated situation, Connor and Lily are still attracted to each other. Phew! These two! When the intense, hostile and thick tension between them escalated things got very steamy. Lily sure did surprise me! She's a great character! Lily has a nurturing personality; she provides and cares deeply about her loved ones. She can be seen as a "good girl", but looks can be deceiving. Underneath her sweet, innocent "angel-like" appearance, Lily is feisty and fiery. And believe me, she's no angel. She was blunt and wasn't afraid to demand what she wanted from Connor! He might have a tough and mean exterior but, two certain people managed to turn the "beast", AKA Connor into a "big cuddly teddy bear" (and yes, I swooned seeing these interactions). Because beneath his unbreakable exterior, Connor does have a big heart, he just doesn't show it to the outside world.

Oh my Wolfe, the series just gets better and better! Billie writes some of the most sinful, delicious and sexy crime lords and I’m here for it. Following Franklin, we meet the beefy, possessive and ruthless Connor. He is a force to be reckoned with, no one dares cross him and they call him the destroyer. Lily, on the other hand, surprises me in the best possible way. Underneath that innocent, angelic, good girl exterior, she can be feisty, tough and deadly when she activates her lioness mode. I love how different she is versus other sassy heroines I’ve read and her personality really shines through in this book. This grumpy/sunshine duo is absolutely incredible and I enjoyed reading from both of their perspectives.

Let’s start with one word…WOW.
This is my first time reading a book by Billie and I honestly couldn’t have been more happy/impressed by this book. I was hooked in from the first chapter!
The main basis of the book is surrounding Connor (part of the gang that rule Boston he is extremly hot, angry, funny and everything you want from a lead character) and Lily where we learn about their respective lives and families and how they end up entangled through the book, I don’t want to give ANY spoilers but this book is just great.
As I said I was hooked from the first chapter, it has you hot under the collar straight away with some really steamy scenes throughout but as the book progresses there’s so much more to this book than its ‘hotness’ the dynamic of Connor and his brothers is just brilliant, and getting to know the brothers through the book makes me super excited to read the brothers respective stories!
Lily’s family is also an interesting one but let’s not put any spoiler here.
There’s great relationships, blood, murder & super hot sex, what more can you ask for from a mafia type romance!!
I am so excited to start Franklin which is the book before this one, there’s not many books that I read and once I’m done go and read all other books the author has ever written but I can’t wait to get stuck in to all of Billie’s other books.

Connor, oh Connor...The new gatekeeper to my heart!
After reading the first book in this series with interconnected standalones, I suspected I would love the second book. Sometimes these hopes can be your downfall and you are setting yourself up for failure. But in case of this book, I didn't even hope high enough!
I loved everything about it! Steamy sex scenes, the wolfes and their maffia activities. This book flirts with dark romance. It has all the maffia trigger warnings you would suspect, like gun violence, torture and sexism. But when reading it, it didn't feel dark to me.
I loved the way Lily sees Connor. Lily talks about wanting a man who respects and values her always and then uses her in wicked ways in private. This is exactly how their relationship is. Connor listens to her, takes care of her and includes her in his, not always savoury, life. He is the perfect grump to her sunshine and they end up making it work! With creating Connor, Billie ended up making my impossible high standerds, evenmore higher!
The spice , the kink and the alpha male make this book extremely HOT! The steam is off the charts and possible my favourite smut ever. Combine this with an alpha male who shows his romantic side and you have my new favourite book!

Billie I loved this instalment. Connor was a force to be reckoned with. He is ruthless, grumpy and quite scary but underneath his soft teddy bear side is in their.
Lily is a breath of fresh air, she may look like an angel but she is all devil with a badass attitude to match. Lily is strong, determined and can hold her own against Connor. She certainly isn’t shy in the bedroom either! The chemistry between them was HOT!
The story itself was brilliant. I loved the plot. There was lots of action to keep me glued to the pages and the some very sexy steamy scenes.
Although the story borders more to the dark side there is a great amount of banter that keeps some scenes quite light and entertaining. I really enjoyed the relationship between the brothers and usual sibling banter that they had. The way they all took to Colin melted my heart a little too.
I absolutely loved Connor’s book and now can’t wait to read what Billie has in store for us next, I have a feeling Reign is going to steal my heart.

I thought the last book was fantastic and this book is holy crap amazing! While I am usually on the fence about the trope in this book, I absolutely loved this story. Billie writes stories that will grab your attention, keep you interested and in this case kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I love the dynamic of the Wolfe brothers (again, Reign is such a teddy bear). They are loyal, possessive of their women and each other, and don’t you dare cross one of them. There is a little bit of a mystery that will run through the books but each story is a standalone. Connor and Lily are amazing good together, smoking hot and so loving even if Connor cannot admit it. But he never fails in showing it and cannot help but finally admit that he loves Lily. I thought this was a beautiful story of love and courage.

Connor is so much more than I thought he would be, and Lily is nothing like I was expecting, in the best possible way of course. Connor is hot, domineering, and bit of a softy at time. Then Lily is surprisingly a bit submissive but has a skill that is epic. This book has some angst and a whole lot of amazing steam. Then there’s this one torture scene where Billie got real creative, I might have laughed a little over her creativity on that one. If you read it, you’ll know I have issues for laughing. Seeing more of Reign, and knowing his book is next, has me all kinds of excited. This book is excellent and I loved it. I would definitely recommend it, but read Franklin first so you’ll understand things better.

I am so mad I waited so long to read this book!! It was fantastic, f/start to finish it’s a really great book! 5⭐️ for sure!
After a one night stand Lily finds herself pregnant. She chooses to not tell Connor to protect herself & especially her son. But when her brother falls in w/the wrong people, it’s Connor who shows up looking for him. Instead he finds Lily. After 3 years there’s still a spark between them, but he’s pissed, & when he learns the secret she’s been keeping he’s definitely not happy.
This was so freaking good, I couldn’t put it down. I read it f/cover to cover in one sitting & wasn’t ready for it to end. But I’m so ready for Reign’s story! I loved him in this book & can’t wait to read his story next! This is definitely a must read series.

This books starts off steaming 🔥! And it doesn’t disappoint throughout.
Connor is a no BS, straight to the point, possessive and protective Hero. And I loved that Lily stood her ground next to him. She’s a strong heroine who didn’t take his shit and always handled herself. Their chemistry is off the charts. With two strong characters I thought they’d have too much conflict but they just work together.
What I love most in this book is how the plot thickens for all the Wolfes. We learn more about each brothers’ back story- bits and pieces that have me anxiously awaiting books 3 and 4. The drama from book one was only the beginning. (Speaking of- definitely loved seeing Kenny & Franky appearances).

Better than the first
This was much better then the first which was good. There was more of a rhythm and story with the second installment. Connor & Lily we’re good together. I really liked how their story was not a carbon copy from the first book. They were quite polar characters. It kept. E on my toes. This story like the first had unexpected twists. I love that too. 🔥🔥🔥🔥/5. I wasn’t sure I would read another when I started this novel but now I will read #3.

Dark, brooding, crazy and a bit grumpy. I love him. Lots of swearing, lots of sex, lots of just bloody amazing. My kind of story!
The relationship he has with his brothers actually kills me 😂. Reign is 😍

Normally I don’t like this trope but Billie’s writing made it so much better!
I loved the characters and the story kept me intrigued. The dynamic between the characters really made me want to keep reading. I like the series so much.
