What do you do when the world you’ve always known evaporates?

Twenty-year-old Rosalyn has lived a life of ease. As the crown princess of Caldia, she’s had everything handed to her and handled for her. Sometimes life changes for the better, but what if it doesn’t? What if everything she believed was perfect is not what it seems?

With each passing day, the life she’s known begins to fall apart. The man she loved isn’t that man she thought he was. A man she’s hated suddenly becomes her rock. But it’s the men she doesn’t know who abruptly change everything.

Can she cope with betrayal from all sides? Will she survive the hell her life has become?

The day is coming when Rosalyn must answer for everything. But what if the odds stacked against her are meant to be her end?

Decadence is the first book in a reverse harem, dark, five-part fantasy series with cliffhangers. Although this book has been previously published, it now contains over 50,000 words of new content.

Buckle up for a wild ride.

I’ve been racking my brain trying to come up with something to say about this book but all I can find is JUST READ IT. Seriously, just read it.

If PNR is your thing or even if it’s not, you should be picking up this book.

It kept me on my toes from beginning to end. The writing is flawless and it’s not like any PNR I’ve read before.

This book is an amazing reverse harem it has love, romance, heartbreak, and fighting. Trust me when I say you will get hooked on a guy ... Or maybe 5 guys. I absolutely love this book this is my second time reading it and I was still shook and in tears. Nichole definitely knows how to make the readers have a love hate relationship with her! 😂

This book is...WOW!!! Amazing, awesome...had so much going on and I loved everything about it!! Decadence is Nichole Austin's debut, and what a debut it is!! Rosalyn is a princess coming into her powers, and there are things that she finds out about the people closest to her..will these things break her..or make her stronger? And the men in this book...holy crap!! Hot!!! The ending almost had me throwing my kindle, I was able to control that...barely, now I NEED the second book!!! I am totally recommending Decadence, it will suck you in until the very end!!

Decadence (Tree of Life Series Book 1) by Nichole Austin

## 5 Spellbinding Stars ##

A superb paranormal read, that had me completely captured from the very beginning. Oh and a beautiful cover !

I'm a huge paranormal fan and this one didn't disappoint, a good strong start to this awesome series, I loved Rosalyns character along with all her turmoils she has to go through. There are plenty of unexpected twists, this book transported me into their paranormal world.

I personally hope as the story develops and unfolds and as Rosalyn and her mates bond grows, we get to see a little more 'adult' RH content.

A great read, which I highly recommend and I'm definitely looking forward to reading more in this series.

This brand new author has found her own unique voice!

I’m sure if you’re checking out this book you’ve either

A. Already a paranormal romance reader or
B. Already a reverse harem reader

I know I’ve read both genres, this book combines both worlds and that’s not something I’ve read till this author.

This is her first piece of work and she knocks it out of the park!

Rosalyn is a seventeen year old princess (typical teenage brat).. she’s also a witch that’s coming into her powers.
When certain circumstances come to light, her world shifts and the people closet to her reveal secrets that have been buried.
Foes turn to friends, strangers to new love interests.

This book has everything you could want... witches and warlocks, shifters, vampires and mortals. Crazy intense fight scenes and a slow burn that sets fire to your pages!

I need book two like I need oxygen! Give it to me now! Yep I’m throwing a tantrum cause that ending will blow your mind!

Don’t miss the stunning beginning to this author’s journey!

Wow! Nichole Austin has come out swinging with her debut novel! This book has a very unique, strong storyline that I loved reading. Her characters are interesting and I found myself wanting to know more about each of them and what makes them tick. I don't read a lot of PNR and I found myself loving the quick action of this book. I was left with so many questions and I can't wait for the next books and hopefully will get the answers that are driving me crazy!

This was my first read by this author and it won’t be my last.

PNR and RH?? Yes please!

In the beginning you get introduced to many characters, you become enthralled in a whole new world. You are kept wondering who you can trust, and who you can’t.

In this first book, nothing is as it seems. What you think you knew will be flipped upside down.

You will see character growth from beginning to end.

I cannot wait to see how Nichole Austin continues to develop all these characters and storylines.

Loved this book! This is the beginning of such an amazing series!! Ms. Austin has spun a web that will take many nights to work out in your head. Great characters and a great story. And guess what? She lets the reader figure out what’s going on rather than telling you. And THIS, my friends, is a series that will leave you spinning!! Jump onboard. It’s going to be a wild ride!!

This book has many ups and downs. I had a hard time at first liking the heroine. She felt like a whiny petulant child ( which she is since she is only 17) always crying about everyone keeping things from her or why she can never be alone. Then as I read further, I start to see the plan the author has. The story starts to give you small glimpses of the woman she is destined to be as she grows up. Just as the story starts to unwind and get to the juicy part, the cliffy slashes you and leaves you wanting more.

I read the original

I been folling this author with a want/need of more words and when I saw part one would be re-released with more content I signed up immediately.

This version has more action than the original and if you are new to this author/series beware this will end on a cliff but it is worth the journey and wait for book 2 personally I am still hooked and can't wait to see what will happen to our heroine and her Heroes and the possible anti hero I am anxious to know if he will be allowed to stay and yes this is a RH.

I loved this story, even if it ends in a mystery. The story revolves around Rosalyn, a young witch and princess of Caldia, the land of witches. Rosalyn is a young witch living under the control of her mother the Queen, her sister Alizon. Growing up in the castle, it is all she knows of the world. Limited by those around her whom are good at keeping secrets, Rosalyn too keeps secrets of her own.
As magic builds and she learns of her powers, she discovers secrets that change everything she ever thought she knew about her family. Secrets unravel new mysteries, and Rosalyn must endure challenges that impact her heart and soul. The story is full of mystery, some suspense, romantic interludes and spicy scenes that push your boundaries as a reader. I feel the author is giving us just a small glimpse of what is to come in this book series. And I cannot wait for more. I can't say more without ruining this book for you. I love the author's characters and the world she has created. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.

I seriously wanted to love it. I did liked it, but I guess I liked it for what it was. I really wish our sweet heroine was a little less bratty. So many boys, haha! And honestly. Too many boys, I felt like I was whiplashed through the entire book. I am honored to have received an arc & asked to read it. I also hope book 2 gives less whiplash & more answers.

So to be completely honest I don't read too many books that deal with witches, vampires, and werewolves.. since being a teenager... but I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC and totally enjoyed reading this book. It wasn't the typical Teen love drama. It was different and kept me on my toes the whole time. The ending made me mad, in a good way, authors are supposed to do that though right? keep you on your toes and make you feel all the emotions. So I would recommend you pick this up

I’m not sure how I feel about this book. I thought the paranormal aspects of the book was interesting but I got a lot of whiplash with the characters. I really didn’t care much for Rosalyn. I found her to be immature and whiney. I was confused on the love/hate that was going on with all the characters. One minute one of them is in love with her, the next he hates her, then another guy is in love with her but is kissing/marrying someone else and now she has 4 mates? She inturns is connected to another guy, loved another guy and then somehow ends up married to another guy? Totally confused and nothing really made any sense.

First, let me start by saying that I do not read a lot of paranormal romance. So I took my time reading so I could understand what was happening and digest it all. There were several occasions I just wanted to throw my freaking phone LOL 😂 But it kept my attention and had my emotions all over the place. Very well written for a debut novel! I can’t wait to read the next book! I need answers 😃

Hard to believe this book is written by a new author! Sooo good. I admit it took me a minute to keep track of who all the characters were.
I loved how descriptive it was and the storyline is great. So glad that this is a series. I can’t wait to read book 2!!

interesting read

This was our book club read and I’m always glad to be introduced to a new author. What I liked: the characters are complex and there’s a lot of behind the scenes and secrets that come to the front as true natures are revealed, Alaric as a true mate, the PNR beginnings. Drawbacks for me: pacing for the first half of the story, lots of flash backs and visions were confusing, I didn’t quite warm up to Rosalyn.
The ending dropped the prophecy so there’s a lot to look forward to as what seems to be real starts unraveling. Interesting read for sure!

Uniquely different storyline that keeps you guessing. Rosalyn learned a lot about those close to her and herself as she comes of age. What a great PNR. AMAZING debut book by the author, great job Nichole. She will be a one-click from me for sure. Can't wait for the next book. MUST HAVE MORE!!!!

Nichole Austin knock it out of the park with her debut book Decadence. I couldn't put it down. It had the perfect amount of drama and suspense. I loved Rosalyn!! She is one sassy girl. There are part where you just want to reach threw the book and shake Rosalyn and tell her grow up. The story will reel you in and keep its hooks in you. Be prepared to do a bit of yelling, bitting your nails and some crying. I loved it. Now i just need book 2!!!

good start!!

I honestly snagged up this book based off the cover it is absolutely stunning, I went in completely blind other than that.

There was a lot of stuff I loved about this book like the fantasy/ paranormal aspect, written in 1st person, the storyline, prophecy’s and a Princess kept in the dark. With a buttload of betrayal, backstabbing and deceit it kept my attention.

Now I normally love multiple POV’s but this one had ALOT and it got confusing a bit of the time to follow, the FMC seemed instead of sweet and nice she came across as bratty and whiny, she kept trying to fall in love with any man who crossed her path, she got on my nerves a bit. But towards the end she got better. But I am hoping as the story grows so does she. It took me 52% into the book for me to finally kept everyone straight and really get into it. And the ending……need more.

Overall I give it a 3.5-4⭐️ I will be looking forward to book 2.

This is the first book I read by this author, but let me tell you it won’t me my last. The books starts with the main character Rosalyn she’s a young naive 17yr old witch who is not aware of her powers she has and how to control them. In the story you meet a lot of other characters and find out . Who everyone is and what role they play in this book some of the characters I’m not a fan of, others I love so much.

Gah the book ends in a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to find out more of this story. They’re were parts where I would get annoyed with the main character but it’s normal because she’s still learning who she is and her finding her role in the pnr land.
