Alpha dragon Seamus Savoy has it all. As a member of the Skye Dun clan, he has two best friends who are as close as brothers, and plenty of money and means to explore his creative side. He loves the arts and painting, and spends his days following his passions. He just never expects those passions to lead to his fated mate. Kendall Ogletree is a magic teacher who specializes in students who are keeping under the radar of the government whose policy is to remove magic users from their families and put them in institutions where they can be controlled. He’s just left an abusive relationship and the job as tutor for Brynn is the best thing that’s happened to him in a long time. He admires Seamus from their first meeting, but never expects the handsome dragon to be interested in him, let alone to be his fated mate. But someone is still trying to take out the Skye Dun clan, and Seamus will have to navigate wooing his mate and adding to his family amid the danger and intrigue that is chasing them. Follow Seamus and Kendall’s love story in this second installment of the Skye Dun series.
Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs. While collecting vast amounts of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours between dropping the f-bomb and persuing the kama sutra by channeling the long lost spirit of John Wayne and singing along with the soundtrack to "Chicago."
A long-time writer of complicated haiku, currently Sean is attempting to learn the advanced arts of plate spinning and soap carving sex toys.
Barring any of that? He'll stick with writing his stories, thanks, and rubbing pretty bodies together to see if they spark.
It was sort of similar to the first book in this series but the progression of the story keeps you hanging in and wanting to read the third book. Which is what I am about to do. Well told. Interesting characters. Can’t wait to see how the author wraps up the arc plot line. Should be interesting.
Book 2 is of Shay and Kendall. Kendall is hired to help Brynne with her magic. Shay is 1 part of 3 who started their business with W and Harry’s who are Shay’s found brother. W’s story is book 1 and Harry’s story is book 3. When Shay aka Seamus, does the interview with Kendall, he automatically is drawn by him. So much is happening with being attacked by bombers and kidnappers that Shay wants to keep Kendall safe. After having to teleport Brynne and the triplets to safety, Shay moves Kendall into his apartment. Shay and Kendall’s attraction grows stronger and they both realize they are meant to be. It’s a great read and has few sexy scenes. A 5 story book. 💜
Sometimes, danger brings it's own surprises. Kendall is hired to teach and guide Brynn a child with powerful magic powers. He is in constant hiding staying steps ahead of the same people running the institutions who would kidnap Brynn. Seamus, is one third of the chosen brothers of Warrington and Harrison. His passion is art and painting. Navigating a courtship while dodging danger and getting to know nieces and a nephew can be hard work. But Seamus has a handle on things. He and Kendall make a nice couple. Exciting, fun, romantic dangerous story. Well done!
Book two of the Skye Dun series was an enjoyable read. Not quite as many sex scenes as book one, but that wasn't a bad thing. More time to devote to the storyline. The tension is raised in this book as the three alpha dragon friends are narrowing down on who is determined to blow them up/kill them. Another confirmed alpha bachelor bites the dust, falling into insta-love with his omega. A sweet, low angst story. The last book is a month away and I can't wait.
Great book and easily flows as a read through from Book one in this series. I enjoyed the developing romance between Shay and Kendall. The best part in this book for me was trying to figure out who are the bar guys. I recommend this book and other penned by Sean Michael.
A pretty sweet, insta-lust/love series of 3 books about 3 "brothers" and their fated mates. There is an underlying story through all 3 but you could read each as a stand-alone as it is not the main focus of the stories; however, I enjoyed them all - just what I was looking for on a long summer day.
So with how these are going, I’m wondering if it will just be a three book series with the main three friends finding mates. It’s nice to see them adding to the family. I’m looking forward to the mystery unfolding more.
I have read book one and now book two of the Skye dun series and each story is consistently good.I can't wait to read book three next.an excellent dragon series.....
Love this series - love Sean Michael books & this Skye Dunn series is a tad different from the other Sean Michael books I've read but this is my favorite.
Brynn's new magic teacher, Kendall, immediately interests Shay physically. Once again a job, by the Skye Dun clan, for an Omega saves Kendall from poverty and extreme danger.
This is book 2 in the series and beautiful babies. One that running from danger falls in the lap a his artistic dragon. Can't wait to see who falls for the final one
These dragons are so good. I am a fan of this author anyway..and dragons! Kendall is the perfect mate for Shay and he fits right in with the found family. lovely story!
I enjoyed this book quite a bit more than the first one. While the bedroom antics were certainly steamy and plentiful, I felt there was also more sensuality and emotion to Shay and Kendall’s encounters compared to as and Sebastian’s, making those parts more appealing to me. I also felt like there was more actual story to this piece. There was a decent amount of progression to the series plot arc, moving that along to where things can wrap up in Harry’s book. I would have liked more background for Kendall, as well as some additional world building since details are sketchy at best, but overall I’m certainly satisfied with this installment.
