This is exactly the series I needed this week - an easy read to curl up with while we were all home sick. This series was perfect to keep me going when feeling under the weather. Highly entertaining and surprisingly immersive. It was fast-paced and action-packed. Lots of fun banter and humour to keep it interesting. The content made me raise an eyebrow at times and laugh out loud at other times. Overall, a fun read :-)

A Blaze of Stars & Dawn by Eve L. Mitchell is the in the third and final book in Watcher series, and this book left me without words to fully describe what I read (and I’ve read it more than once), but here goes…

The storytelling is out of this world and you’ll be shocked page after page as the story unfolds and waiting on the edge of your seat to turn the page. But the sad truth is, you’ll also want to savour each and every word of this story as Star, Sam and the Watchers journey comes to an end in an astounding conclusion.

These books will forever remain as my most favourite ever books. Even though book 1 was the book that captured me wholeheartedly, book 2 had me intrigued and wanting more, it was book 3 that ripped my heart out with the emotional, captivating and bewildering conclusion to this series.

Side note: at one point I almost dropped my iPad in bath, that’s how shocked I was by the path the story took. Way to throw in an expected twist that was out of this world stupefying.
Oh and grab that box of tissues!

This book was absolutely amazing and I was not ready for it to end! Angels & demons are a new found love of mine thanks to this series! It is such a well written series that captivates you from the first page and holds you captive until the end. The characters, all of them, are so unique and hold a special place in my heart. Yes, even the ornery a$$ Zel, and even sneaky as hell Cross! They are my favorite side characters! But Star & Sam are the end all, be all, stars of the show! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sam’s possessive alphahole side.

My emotions were well and truly tested in this final book. So much happens and everything comes together. I did not see that ending coming, but it puts everything into perspective, and it all makes sense now! The author is so amazing… to be able to keep up with so many moving parts of the story, and all the secrets these characters hold, is nothing short of a miracle. I really had to sit back and think about everything from book one to the end of the third book, to see the journey she took us on. The ending was unexpectedly, shockingly perfect. I’m a bit greedy though…I still want more! Oh and please tell me Zel gets a story? I would love to know about his past and see him find his happy.

This series will forever be a favorite of mine. I’m so thankful to have found this exceptional author. My life wouldn’t be the same without her captivating words! I recommend this series to everyone! It isn’t your happy go lucky Romance, it has its dark and dirty moments! 😈

Star, Sam, and the rest of the watchers are back and boy do they pack a punch. Star is on the run and hiding from everyone, wtachers, demons, angels and more, as the story unfolds the unexpected pops ups and leaves you reeling. When everything comes to light it will blow your mind and make your head spin. From beginning to end this book took my emotions on a twisted roller coaster ride that made me cry one minute and laugh the next. With each bit of information that comes out the more this book with pull you in. I was completely enthralled with this whole series and this book just made me want more and more. This story will give you everything and turn you emotions into a puddle of mush and this author knows how to make you feel it all and keep you floored and coming back for more. I so can't wait to read what she has next.

This book defied all expectations, and completely captured my heart. Star is a truly phenomenal heroine who never gives up, and is able to find a way even with hell at her heels.

This PNR series is so much more then I could have imagined, and my top PNR series I've ever read. The imagery, characters, and story arc is so well thought out I could picture every scene as I read the words. Star is by far top 5 favorite heroine ever. Even though she is living the most chaotic life unimaginable she manages to keep her humor, sarcasm, and messiness through every situation. Mitchell blends the story's humor beautifully with the overall daunting quest she has set these characters on. The little moments of sarcasm and humor helps remind the reader that this twenty something human living in an angel, demon, and death world will always raise to the challenges. Sam is magnificent in this story as he fights for his heart / soulmate even when he knows what fate will bring.

Mitchell's writing of the story is done in such away that as a reader we don't get to see it all happen as our main character does. What seems to be gaps in the story is just a part you aren't ready to wrap your head around yet. This story is unlike any other which is hard to find these day.

The cast of charcters in this world are all pretty amazing and if I had a wish it would be that we get stories giving us all the backstory and romances they deserve.

A Blaze of Stars & Dawn is the third and final book in the Watcher series. This series has been engrossing from the start and the author gave us an ending that far exceeded my expectations. The world building alone in this series was fascinating and so well described I actually felt I was there in the story. The plot continued where book 2 left off and omg....it was filled with so many twists and turns and those twists and turns had its own twists. I loved it all. There was never a dull moment and I was consumed right from the start and highly entertained throughout. I loved the character development in this story. While I was not a fan of Star in book 1 she really grew so much throughout the series and really enjoyed her humor and sarcasm in this book. I loved that we got to learn some history of some of the beloved characters in the story. Sam was amazing as he fights for his soulmate and Zel and Hound captured my attention and my heart throughout the story.
This entire series was definitely an adventure and this book was no different. It was a riveting tale that will make your heart race, will make you laugh, make you cry, have you shocked and at every stage it will have you frantically turning the pages wanting to know more. I'm sad that this epic journey has come to an end but omg....it was worth the ride. This is without a doubt a top read for me for this year and this author is now added to my must read list. I can't wait to see what she will have in store for us next. I would highly recommend this novel and the entire series to lovers of fantasy romance.

Words!! I'm in desperate need of words to even begin to describe this book!! I started this book with the intention of reading a few chapters and then continue it tomorrow....it was a good intention which failed dramatically...I tried, I really did, honestly but here I am at 3.44am in the morning trying to process how to put into words the brilliance of what Eve has written...I simply couldn't put it down, literally couldn't stop reading...the twists and turns and jaw dropping shock when the plot turns on its head!!!! I've cried my heart out throughout this book, tears just wouldn't stop but I've also burst out laughing (yup you guessed it.... tears again) with the unique quirky one liners that Star or her Demons come out with (my favourite has to be when Star was discussing how the brain keeps you from sleeping with its endless questions like how does a Dragon blow out candles.....that I don't think I'll ever forget....)
In essence....just go....go read one of the best paranormal series out there, you will laugh, you will cry, you'll scream and yes there is a very very strong possibility you may throw your kindle (consider yourself warned) but one thing is positive, you won't regret it and just like me you'll be hooked and possibly rocking in a corner wondering how on earth will you ever get over this series....Eve you are amazing

Blaze Of Stars & Dawn is the third and final installment in Eve L Mitchell’s Watcher Series . Let me just start by saying that Eve L Mitchell is without a doubt one of my absolute favorite authors , so when the opportunity arose for me to read and review this amazing series well it was a no brainer . Even though paranormal romance is not usually what I read , This series was the exception. From the moment I started reading this phenomenal series I found myself becoming more and more engrossed not only by the wonderfully written characters but by the story as well . The storytelling is just out of this world !! Eve has this amazing gift of knowing just how to grab onto all your emotions, keep you on the edge of your seat , pull at all your heartstrings and suck you in so completely. This was the absolute perfect ending . All your questions will be answered, it’s emotional and steamy and full of so many twists and turns , it seriously exceeded all my expectations. I’m so sad to see it end !! This is easily one of the best series I have read In such a long time. But then why wouldn’t it be ( Eve L Mitchell wrote it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It was unexpected, mind blowing and just.. well.. I think I did had a stroke around the end of this book. This series did not go where I thought it would. Not even nearly. I was pushed out of the loop several times. So many unexpected events, plot’s twists, enemies who were not ones and vice versa. I was screaming “nooo, not possible” on repeat, so many times. By the end I understood, or I think I did why and who and what for; or at least I do have a theory but no way to really verify it. It turns me bonkers a bit, but it’s ok, I’m ok (even if I’m not completely ok 🤣, well.. I think I start to sound crazy). It was just so good, so unique, so perfectly Eve. Star did fully an undeniable earn herself 5 stars for this incredible story of hers.

Mind-blowing finale!!! 🤯🖤
This book surpassed all my expectations, it totally blew my mind with all the damn twists and turns where I least expected, it tore my heart open, I did cry 😭, and barely put it together at the very end... I thought they wouldn’t make it, my heart was bleeding... and then in the very last pages, the light shone again!!! 🥰
Damn Eve, I was really worried there for a minute, but I knew you wouldn’t do that to them, to us, thank God you didn’t!!! 😫😅
My words can't really express how much I love this series, Star, Sam and the Watchers... I don’t want to let the go!!! 😭
This is one of the best series I have read and has earned a special place in my heart!!! 🤗❤

You know when you think you have the plot figured out and you think you kinda know whats gunna happen and then out of nowhere the complete opposite happens and your reading but at the same time thinking what the fudge is going on... yeah... well thats what book3 did to me! When i thought i was understanding what was happening another twist happened and the knife dug alittle deeper in my heart!!!!!!!

I really wasnt expecting the cheeky twists- who was genuine?
Eve was able to pull at my heart strings and then have me chuckling the next......

I loved the remarks, foul-mouth and sarcasm..

Starlight really was strong and literally went through hell and back. The interations with her and the watchers... god i loved them!
Zel and Hound (my faves)

The creativity used to create this world/ characters was extraordinary.
The ending was truly bittersweet...

This book was everything I could have wanted and more. Can you say plot twist and twist and twist and twist?! Just when you think you have a handle on what’s going on and maybe know how it’s going to end BAM! Curveball! Yep definitely wanted to throw my phone once or twice. I absolutely love these characters and this world and am so incredibly sad that it’s over.
The author has an amazing ability to draw you into this world and hold you hostage. She has some serious foreshadowing skills and then manages to manipulate it to give you major plot twist and then twisting that plot twist.

I wish the book was longer and didn’t end! I do not want the book to end where it did, hopefully Eve will make another novella or extra epilogue for Star and Sam! I need more! 😍😍😭
Best book ever! I can’t wait for the next book coming by Eve! 😍😍 until then I’m gonna go and re read all of her books again 😊

This is book three in the Watcher Series, and it’s not going to disappoint you. Eve has outdone herself with this one. It’s full of ups and downs with lots of sass. In true Eve style, you may even want to smack a few characters. Grab your copy and enjoy.

I stumbled upon this series by accident and can I just say how happy I am that I did! This series has kept me entranced in this world and I am sad to see it come to an end. But what an end it was! I will now be making my way through this author’s backlist to see if all her stories are this good. This book reminded me why I love this genre. If you like PNR romance and want to get lost in a world that will hold you in its depths, then this series is for you. Just go start with the 1st one and get ready for an all-consuming tale.

Well, Eve has done it again.

This series absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark.

I have never read a series that, book after book, made me gasp and drop my Kindle because of a major plot twist.

Book one left me screaming profanities.

Book two made me shriek “ARE YOU SERIOUS?!”

Book three made rage… and cry… and then finally “oooooh, yeah… that makes sense.”

Holy cow… I just cannot describe how much I love this series. These characters, the storyline, and the world she created… perfection.

Now excuse me while I go nurse a serious book hangover.

Hate the ENDINGGGGGG

Loved this series and such a talented author to come up with great stories and characters.

I was however sooooooo angry 😠 😡 at that ending. WTFFFFFF Eve???
I was so looking forward to them finally getting the happy ending we were waiting for (also getting to see some of it).
But no, miss author decides to give us less than a page of hope.

I do feel cheated because I wanted to see her reunion with the watchers and Sam, plus her parents.
However, we get to see 👀 her fanny around dipping in water 💧 and thinking of what went down in the tree.
We don't get Sam's point of the battle or how he felt during their time apart (if he felt a hollowness from being apart from Star).
We don't get any info about why or where Cross went, or even if she ever sorts her powers out??????

Star was a great character but her constant stupid questions were bordering on painful and making me squirm in my seat at times.
She at times was too child like with her wondering mind and her refusing to learn her power no matter how many times or how many people warned her she needed to learn.

It feels like we were building up to this epic final battle only to totally blow over it. She was taught to fight and how to use her power throughout the 3 books but was then locked 🔒 away and then brought in at the moment it would be perfect for her to help, then get killed with no help to anyone????

The last part of this book could have been fantastic but it was confusing 😕, bland and pointless.
We didn't find their Sons soul, didn't find Cross. Didn't get the reunion or a battle.
We don't find anything more about her past life, the ex best mate, parents or her cottage. It was soooo rushes I'm afraid.

All in all. It was a brilliant series but I was just so very very disappointed with the last quarter of the book.

If the author could maybe do a novella from Sam's point so we get the battle and more info then we did with Star that would be fantastic. Also to get the story after the point they meet back up at the end so we get all the watches, the parents, some bloody love story and I would be a happy lady.😁

I have to say this was a crazy last ride. I had no idea where the story was going or what was true. So much was hidden and it seems the reader, like Star, were left out of the revelations until there was no choice but for the truth to come out. What I did love was Star and her unlikely group that consisted of Cross, Hound and Zel. A mixed bag that probably shouldn't work and yet I loved them together. There was so much action and treachery. It felt like Star was constantly being pulled in every direction. But it was great to see that she finally realised what was happening and refused to be used like a puppet.

I didn't like one character's ending. It left it open and his motives were unclear. I felt like he deserved better. Especially because it didn't seem in character after the interactions I saw between him and Star. Or maybe it was and I was just too in love with him to realise. Either way, it would have been nice to have a different end for him so that disappointed me a little. In regards to the ending, I did not envision that ending so it came as a surprise. Although, after reading it, I realised that it was the only way. So it was a fitting end. Overall, it was an engaging read and I did like this series.

“Star is mine” declare Sam, Cross and Hound. Must be nice to be so popular.

Star is pregnant with what is most likely a Nephilim.* Nephilim almost destroyed earth in the past so angels from heaven have come to earth to smite her. Star discovers that Sam had been a father of numerous Nephilim with his wife. Surprisingly, Zel is determined to keep her safe. It probably is due to his earlier assertion that he is not a child killer.

Sam:
Chapter 8 -“How much my brothers love you,” he answered as if he had heard me speak. “Chazaquel and Amaros, they would have walked through the hellfire to take you to safety there and then. They had no love for Araqiel and all the love for you.”
I understand Chaz’s devotion but I don’t recall Amaros interacting much with Star. (Oh. Amaros is Ros. Duh)

If the demons, née angels, aren’t born but created by the Father, why do they have the twigs and berries enabling them to procreate? What if Star got her tubes tied or had a hysterectomy so she couldn’t get pregnant again? Wouldn’t that solve the angel’s problem without executing her? (I assume human birth control is no match for heavenly sperm)

Story gets very convoluted at the end but everything works out A-okay.

*She’s hoping that by being a witch and necromancer in addition to human might prevent this. No one else seems to agree. Zel later confesses he is optimistically hopeful that her child will be different because he believes Star is inherently good (or something like that) Which makes one wonder why he kept calling her “whore” in the past.
