Justice #2

Heiress and the Cowboy

Rate this book
Stoic Tucker Justice has loved Cameron Hyde-Franklin since their boarding school days but he’s always known he doesn’t fit into her world. She loves parties and people. He had to build his own home on the corner of his family’s ranch. She loves the night life. He loves moonlight. The two are opposites and he knows her star is too bright to hide away on his ranch.

Cameron Hyde-Franklin tried everything to attract the tall, silent Tucker Justice in boarding school, going to so far as to organize a chess club for him when she learned he loved the game. But even that didn’t manage to hold his interest. Cam knows that loving Tucker is a lost cause and throws herself into the glittery world of global aristocrats.

Their two orbits should never collide but Tucker Justice doesn’t care about rules and reason anymore. If he doesn’t have Cam in his life, his solitude is meaningless. He’ll make it work even if he has to bring the whole world to the Justice Ranch.

Awww this was super cute.
I definitely don’t get the wait 10 years to get your girl but it’s DUEL VIRGINS … I I looked past it.

Super short
Super sweet
Sexy
OTT JP when he did get it together and I loved that nothing dragged down t was just quick and easy.
Great palette cleans

There’s a family curse where the woman die before 30 so all the boys an are reluctant to go after their woman. So at least there is a reason.

Just a sweet romance nothing crazy happens but it def fills my sweet needs

Duel virgins
No OW OM
No 3rd act break
Not separating other then the 10 years to pull his head out of his ass

I am so angry at this novella, you have no idea...

Example one:
"I'm hungry" - she said
"Here's my big sausage to fill you up" - he responded.

And there were quite a few of those in between. I understand an alpha male, real man etc. but c'mon... It's 2022 - show some freaking respect.

Has the Justice curse been lifted,
Another Justice cousin went after the love of his life and he did it in a spectacular fashion.
Tucker was all broody and not very trusting in Socialite and The Cowboy.
I love him in his own story!!!

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but the first book is significantly better than this. Tucker and Cam were chaotic together and apart. It wasn't entertaining at all.

The sole reason I persevered was because it was a dual V. So even though I'm close to pulling my hair, I powered through.

Anywaaay, the first two books didn't do it for me. I'm hoping the the third one better be good. 🙃

- They waited 10 years
- Dual V!!

The fact that they both had a crush on each other in boarding school, but nothing happened, and that he waited 10 years before he shoot his shot. But since they both were virgins I will accept it.

She wants a baby, and decides that he can’t watch her have any other man’s child than his own, so he finally goes after her. He didn’t want to because they boys thought they were cursed and that all their women wouldn’t survive to over the age of 30. But he finally understood that it was just a coincidence that all the women in the family had died - and he would much rather have the h.

It was so sweet, I loved it. And I definitely love when both the heroes have money and the other doesn't have any problem with that. I didn't read the first volume because the plot was strange but I will do it soon

I love it when a supporting character gets their own story. It is even more exciting when there's a curse preventing the men in the family from falling in love or their lady will die young. Thankfully, we can count on love and lust to break any ugly spell! :-D

I was curious about Tucker being so adamant in rejecting the idea of romance. It is so enticing that he is secretly pining for an outgoing girl who loves to party. Actually, the poor girl is lonely and trying to get his attention because she can't think of anyone else but him. So cute. And it is really funny when she teases him with a naughty secret and it's then that he completely loses his wits. He has to claim her!

I'm loving the Justice family with the alpha males and the ranch life. Tucker throws a big romantic gesture in the end that was spectacular! I enjoyed the issue with character compatibility with this couple. The author imagined good scenes for the opposites-attract dynamics. There's another female character whose story I'm really eager to read about. Hopefully, she'll come next!

Heiress and the cowboy de Ella Goode Serie Justice libro 2

Argumento:

Tuck and Cam met in Boarding school when they were 15, Tuck is an introvert and a grump as they come, while Cam is THE social butterfly and extrovert, mainly because she always felt lonely as an only child and with parents who didn't like to spend time with each other so she always made sure to always be surrounded with people, much to Tuck's dismay.
so both had crushes on each other in school, Cam tried very hard to get his attention and even started a chess club because he liked chess ( but he never attended).
the reason Tuck never pursued Cam was because there's this ongoing thing that the justice family has a curse where all the women they marry die before the age of thirty, which happened to his own mother that died when he was a young boy and it affected him heavily.
10 years later, Tuck is just as infatuated with Cam as he did 10 years ago, So when his cousin had maned up and pursued the women he loves, and when Cam told him she wants a baby, Tucker said FUCK THE CURSE the only baby Cam is having is mine. and bulldozed into her life stealing her away to his ranch.
not gonna like i was so jealous of Cam, i too wanted to swept off my feet by cowboy and be taken to a gorgeous home on a ranch.
i loved both Cam and Tuck, they were sweet, funny and i just adored them

“I’m sorry that I made you wait. I’ve loved you since the moment I laid eyes on you at boarding school, but I stupidly believed in that Justice curse and thought that the world is a better place with you alive than with you in a plot of dirt in the back forty of the Justice Ranch. I’m done living with fear, though, because without you, I’m only half a man. If you don’t marry me, I’m going to follow you around on my damn horse until you give in.”

This was so hot🔥🌶

These Justice men are an entirely different breed of hot alpha males. Book one was amazing, but the Heiress & her cowboy really stepped up the game. We got more of the background of the curse in book one, but that was already known by the lovely Cam since they were in high school together so it made for a more steamy romance centered story.

This story was much more fast paced, and the sexual tension between Cam & Tucker was off the charts. She mentioned wanting something & that man was on a mission! Tucker was obsessed with Cam but she was equally as obsessed and it was awesome. I couldn’t get enough of these two & I loved their story and all of the spicy spicy scenes. Words can’t explain how hyped I am for the third book because this is Ella Goode at her all time best!

Tucker and Cam… a dual virgin story how it’s supposed to be… almost!

*Contains SPOILERS* For the SAFE readers…

Okay… the series got better. Tucker saved face for the Justice men. In a way!!

The truth is that I want to give 4 stars to this book, because waiting 10 years to claim his woman is too much time wasted. But in a way, I think these Justice men were waiting for someone to be brave enough to break the ice and forget the curse and start living life to the fullest with their soulmates by their sides. Calder did this. He opened the gates for the Justice men to claim their women. I didn’t like Calder in Book 1 (check my review there). But in this book, he is the MC I wanted to read in book 1. Possessive, overprotective… just OTT with Birdie!! And reading how well she controls and manages him is a delight to read.

Tucker is just like Calder. OTT for Cam. Something snapped and he decided to go for it, to claim Cam like he wanted all those years ago. I don’t think he explained what made him snap out of holding back (I’ll have to reread it). But once he started, he didn’t back off. Not even the stupid talk he had with Edgar in the friend’s wedding stopped him. Yes, maybe it made him think about their future. But he was sure he was going to keep Cam forever. Oh, and he has a dirty mouth. Relentless. Cam didn’t have a chance!!

But I loved that she made him work for it. She even escapes two times, making him chase after her!! I loved it!! She always had an answer back for him. She wasn’t a weak MC. To me, it was a little uncomfortable that she liked to party. It sounds reckless, always partying and drinking. But it was her way of being with friends, being a single child. And it makes it up, to me at least, that she was untouched. She didn’t let anyone cross the line.

They both were untouched. Dual virgins in everything!! The way I love my MCs in books. Each other’s one and only. Because they didn’t have anyone else in mind. Never attracted or looked at anyone else in those 10 years. How it’s should be in a DV book!!! Thanks!!!!

OMG, the Rocky’s kidnapping!!! iykyk. That was a very grand gesture!!! I just didn’t understand one thing… he just grabs her hand and swing her up in front of him? That’s impossible to do and painful for her too. He should’ve grabbed her with an arm under her armpit through her back. Anyways… I loved that scene!! It was the cherry on top. He really is OTT.

Oh, I’m so looking forward to Sterling’s book. Maria sounds so sweet, but with a strong character inside. Can’t wait to start that book!

This book was crap. The characters were crap. The plot was crap. And it was boring. I think EG has lost her mojo or passion like Alexa Riley or Christine Feehan. I think she is just writing to write.

The story is too short to get into while being too long considering how boring it is. The characters aren’t likable. The FMC started this story drinking like a fish and the MMC started this book with a burning desire to get the girl after having never given her the time of day for the entire time that they’ve known each other which is an unspecified number of years.

I have to say that I agreed with the FMC when she didn’t get why after all that time the MMC was suddenly so interested. This author never satisfactorily explains this away.

I also was deeply disturbed by their encounter on the first night on his side of the ranch. It was grossly unappealing behavior and reads like a man’s p o r n scene. It disgusted me that EG wrote that scene. It was wildly un-EG style of romance writing that I hope this was not her but some ghost writer.

The ending was a grand gesture that was so unoriginal and boring. The FMC should have been equally unimpressed considering her own wealthy status. She should have been like “yeah and?..”.

Anyway, I basically didn’t like this book from start to finish. It had nothing like the depth of the earlier EG books. It was beyond lacking. Good luck.

Heiress and the Cowboy, Book 2 of the Justice series, was about 25-year-old Tucker Justice, one of the five Justice cousins, and 25-year-old Cameron "Cam" Hyde-Franklin, a true socialite and heiress to her father's failing estates.

The Tucker men have steered clear of establishing any true love relationships because they all believed in a dreaded family curse that said any woman who married a Justice man never lived past the age of 30 years old. So the five remaining Tucker cousins had followed the loss of their loved ones by not engaging in any serious relationships. But then Calder, the eldest of the cousins, met his match (Book 1) and took the walk down the aisle with his true love. Now Tucker was finding it hard to stay away from the one woman he had harbored feelings for since their boarding school days. When he talked with her during one of her parties aboard her yacht, she (drunkenly) informed him she wouldn't marry for anything less than love, that she'd had a crush on him during school, and that she wanted a baby. He determined that he would walk down the aisle with her and give her the child she longed for. Cam agreed to go to the Justice ranch with Tucker, and he intended to never let her leave.

This was another cute story. There was more angst and drama than in the first book, but that was because the FMC was such a wishy-washy character. She kept pushing Tucker away even though she loved him and he wanted to marry her. The emotional rollercoaster was in full swing with all of its twists and turns, but at times it was overkill. I think what made it so bad was that she wasn't quite the socialite she made herself out to be to everyone. She even admitted at one point that she actually loved being on the ranch and that when she was growing up, she liked to visit such places with her parents. She was a bit two-faced, IMHO.

There were some places in the story that had a great deal of conflict that wasn't about the main characters of this story, but one scene, in particular, opened the door for the next book, which was quite interesting but a big detraction from what should have been focused on these two main characters.

It was a struggle to like the FMC of this book because she deliberately created scenarios that would push the MMC away, all because, as she stated repeatedly, she was scared of what would happen if he walked away. Yet, he had proven himself time and time again that he was in the relationship for the long haul. The MMC started out a bit cold in Book 1, and it seemed that he had taken a dislike to that FMC, but as his character developed, the reader began to understand it better. In this book, the truth of his feelings came out in spades, and he matured and grew as the story developed, making him a better person.

I only gave this a three-star rating because, while I really liked the MMC, I just had a hard time engaging or connecting with the FMC. I hope the next book is better.

*QUICK ONE-LINER OPINION*
This is a quick, high-steam read and a standalone book by Ella Goode. It continues to follow the Justice men, which we first read about in Socialite and the Cowboy. I love the Justice men as they are all so J/P and demanding and they just take whatever they want (fortunately the heroines are agreeable so no non-con or even dub-con here). Though I am a bit puzzled by H's sudden change in attitude, I guess when love comes looking for you, there is no stopping it. :)

3.5 stars! I love that the heroine has some spunk in her to put the hero in his place when his possessiveness gets too much. A little backbone really does the trick.

Tucker has been in love with Cam since boarding school, and vice versa. But he always feared the Justice men’s curse was real so he stayed away from
her. Until a decade later when he decided it’s time for him to make her his.

I really like the premise of the plot but I only gave it 3.5 stars because I have some unanswered questions here:
1. Why now, Tucker? What happened really which made you reverse your decision and go for the girl? Is it Calder and Birdie’s relationship? But you were so opposed to it in book one!
2. Cam feared that Tucker hates parties and is very uncomfortable with crowds- and this was proven true with a scene in the book where he was just out of place in a posh wedding in Italy. How did they resolve this? It wasn’t stated. It just later on said that he overcame it and they made compromises. I want details!! I think it’s a very important factor in the relationship. I can’t handle the laying down of the foundation of the dilemma then solving it with one to two lines where the hero suddenly had a change of heart. Gah.

But I’m intrigued enough to proceed to the next book, which I am most looking forward to.

This series is not shaping up to be one that I like.
Here's the thing with Ella Goode...she's a go to author for me. Many of her books I have read countless times over and over. However, this series is not shaping up to even being in the like category for her books.
I knew after reading the first book I wasn't a big fan of Tucker's to begin with. He was just a real big a$$ to his cousin and Birdie. We never even get a scene or anything where he could've apologized for his attitude and the way he treated her. I guess the reader is just suppose to overlook all this because there is the curse on the Justice family.
Which speaking of the curse...for a man who was so determined to see his cousin push his woman a way, he sure is quick to forget about said curse and embrace his feelings for Cameron real quick.
I also didn't really care much for Cameron either. She just played games that seemed so immature and pointless. I get wanting to test Tucker a bit to ensure he's really in love with her like he claims, but after so long it just becomes immature and downright mean.
I can only hope Cade's book is better than the first 2 in this series. Heck even the rest of the cousins.

Second Chance Romance

This book is the second of the Justice Brothers series. We met grumpy loner, Tucker Justice, in the first book but this is a complete standalone so you don't need to read the first book in order to understand the storyline; it's just more fun that way.

Tucker has been in love with Cam since boarding school, but the family curse has made him keep his distance. Cam did everything in the past to attract Tucker's attention, but has given up the possibility of romance with him. I won't give any spoilers away but I will say that these two resolve their differences with love, humor, stubbornness and one very grand gesture. I loved it!

This is a safe read with a feisty heroine and a grumpy cowboy. There's explicit language and sex. We get to catch up with the couple from the first book and are introduced to several new characters. There's three more single Justice cousins and I can't wait to read their stories too. This is a quick book and I definitely recommend it.

The couple: Tucker and Cameron

Romance genre: friends to lovers
Series: Justice
Length: 105 pages

Plot: Tucker and Cameron knew each other back at boarding school, but they never ended up in the same orbit. Cam tried her best to get Tucker's attention but he seemed so determined to have nothing to do with her. In reality, Tucker was captivated by Cameron, but there's that pesky Justice curse; also, Cameron is an extreme extrovert and needs interaction with others that Tucker just can't handle. But now that they're back in each other's view, what will happen?

Commentary: Poor Cameron! I absolutely don't understand the needs of an extrovert, but she did seem to thrive in a crowd. But then again, she thrived when it was just her and Tucker (and eventually the kids) at home. Tucker - I understood him. Parties- so wearying! Smiling at people? Makes my head hurt. I get it! I don't know if I've ever seen such opposites!

DUAL VIRGINS
pinning for nearly a decade!!
Heroine is outgoing, social, goes to parties, plans events,
Hero is a homebody that hates this kind of thing, and mostly stays to himself, loving the quiet.
She tried so hard in the school they went to, to impress the hero she was in love with and he always turned her down, even made a chess club, to entice him to come so she can spend time with him. YEARS go by and he pulls his giant head out of his ass and wants to claim his girl. HA! That's funny, but she made him work for it! YES girl make him go after you, make him understand that that ship has sailed, that you won't wait for a man who doesn't want you! Make his heart hurt like he made your heart hurt all these years! She did just that, but he would no take no for an answer and he was in love with her just afraid of the stupid, Justice curse. Anyways, there was good grovel, and a HEA.
I don't think I am going to like any of these men in this series. Points for them being virgins and not fucking around.

"Heiress and the Cowboy" is the story of Cam and Tucker.

This was a miss for me, thanks to the heroine. The hero and heroine have always circled around one another, she's an extroverted party girl and he is an introvert cowboy. When she decides to have a baby with a stranger, he finally decided to make her his woman. Now I dont condone alpha controlling heroes , but the heroine was a brat and at most times insensitive to how the hero felt. And I really struggled with her behavior.

When Justice Men Find THE ONE they go all in

Was unable to stop smiling through Tucker & Cam's story, having been in love with each other since boarding school due to the "curse" he refused to act on his feelings. However when they meet up years later within 5 mins he declares they will marry, get ready for Tucker to go all out in pursuit of the only woman he has loved.

Catch up with Calder & Birdie who are crazy in love, who watch as another Justice man falls to the fates.

All the Justice men deserve to put the curse behind them, hoping there will be more in the series.

Will they really have a HEA?

Ella is one of my go to authors but I struggled liking this one. I just don't see cam and tuck as a couple. Cam is a city girl and desires parties and events. Despite the epilogue I don't see them lasting forever. Once the kids are grown she will get bored ANF move out. I also have a problem with tuck "why now"? He never really explained why he suddenly no longer followed the curse. I would have felt different if the two dated. But this is a typical installer book.
