Yes, I have a lot of books, and if this is your first visit to my amazon author page, it can be a little overwhelming. If you are new to my work, let me recommend a few titles as good places to start. I love my Dan Shamble, Zombie P.I. series, humorous horror/mysteries, which begin with DEATH WARMED OVER. My steampunk fantasy adventures, CLOCKWORK ANGELS and CLOCKWORK LIVES, written with Neil Peart, legendary drummer from Rush, are two of my very favorite novels ever. And my magnum opus, the science fiction epic The Saga of Seven Suns, begins with HIDDEN EMPIRE. After you've tried those, I hope you'll check out some of my other series.

I have written spin-off novels for Star Wars, StarCraft, Titan A.E., and The X-Files, and I'm the co-author of the Dune prequels. My original works include the Saga of Seven Suns series and the Nebula Award-nominated Assemblers of Infinity. I have also written several comic books including the Dark Horse Star Wars collection Tales of the Jedi written in collaboration with Tom Veitch, Predator titles (also for Dark Horse), and X-Files titles for Topps.

I serve as a judge in the Writers of the Future contest.

My wife is author Rebecca Moesta. We currently reside near Monument, Colorado.

As this is the final issue in the series, this counts as a book completed for me, and my star rating on this issue also counts as my rating of the entire series. This issue concludes everything nicely.
The series as a whole was a great experience for me. I've been reading Dune over the past couple of years and am now on Frank Herbert's final installment in the series. It's fitting to finish this comic series when I'm more than halfway done with Chapterhouse: Dune. I know that Brian continues his father's legacy in novels as well as comics, so I will definitely read more Dune, but I loved this series. I loved the artwork, really seeing the world come to life and matching my expectations before the movie came out (I never saw the original Dune movie and have heard it isn't worth a watch, but I LOVED the 2021 movie). I enjoyed reading origins of characters like Duncan Idaho and the Lady Jessica and seeing other characters, likeable or not, come to life in different ways. Boom! Studios did such an amazing job with this series. I will definitely be holding onto these gorgeous comics!

The artwork was beautiful, especially at the wedding/coronation, and I enjoyed seeing some familiar faces from earlier issues again. Wish they had also given some finality to the storyline on Ix, including C'tair, D'murr and the Tleilaxu. Also, while I found the action and dialogue well paced at the Trial by Forfeiture, some of the characters and backgrounds were inconsistent, incomplete, or simply monotone.

We MUST get the whole prequel trilogy in this Boom comics format!!!

Maybe they could even make the artwork slowly start to "resemble" that new and BEAUTIFUL, visual masterpiece that Denis Villinueve helped create.

I'm loving these comic books filling in parts of dune.

Filling in parts of the dune story that are only barely touched in with the original six books.
I love the story that has been shown it makes me love the dune universe even more.

The ending was super rushed and the art felt that way too. I really love everything Dune, but I feel like this could have been handled better. I’m hopeful that other series after this will be improved. The middle issues of this were genuinely good so I know it’s absolutely possible.

Great Read

I enjoyed reading this book very much and finding out about the events that led to Dune. The animation was very good.
