Catherine Warriorson stood, by most accounts, at the top of the world, arguably one of the most powerful women in the business community. Yet, she fought her worst enemies and her biggest adversaries on an unseen battlefield. In the darkness of her own mind, Catherine had already lost the only war that ever the one inside her heart. Destiny, the Warriorson Ranch in New Zealand, had become a sanctuary to the haunted woman, woe be unto anyone who would trespass. Jace Bardley was the personal assistant in charge of publicity for film producer Clarissa Hudson. The fates seemed to snicker when she found herself atop a ridge with a small crew in New Zealand, trying to complete the filming of a documentary about landowners. One landowner in particular was being very difficult. How does one define destiny? It’s only a ranch in New Zealand. Or is it?
JM Dragon was born in the United Kingdom and after leading a hectic working life in logistics, made the startling decision to up root and move half way around the world to New Zealand. That decision changed her life, she is now a New Zealand citizen and looks at the country now as her home and in her words 'I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world it's fabulous'. Her life changed dramatically to a lifestyle block owner of 3 acres, complete with 2 Alpacas, 80 chickens and 4 cats. She has written for as long as she can remember and has in her portfolio many novels and short stories. Some of which are published. Today she splits her time between, her home life 'those darn weeds and chickens', her business venture with Affinity Ebook Press NZ LTD and writing.
The story was believable yet unbelievable. The main characters were likeable yet to good to be true. I love romance and the journey of two people finding their way to each other. I also like when the two people are friends before they become lovers. Friendship is so important in a good relationship.
This story could be really terrific. Great characters, great settings. It just needs, no, it DESERVES a good round of editing/copy-editing to be its best.
