This was okay, but I was bored through the majority of this novella. I didn't buy into the two main characters' supposed chemistry. I'm sorry, but if my bestfriend left to move across country and did not call me for 7 YEARS, I sure as heck wouldn't be rushing into a relationship with her anytime soon. I also was not the biggest fan of Olive, I found her to be extremely immature, and a tad annoying with the way she handled things. I do really like the cover though!
Two new adult women, whose love for one another blossomed and grew through their growing-up years, as HS grads couldn't figure out what was most important, so they went their separate ways and fell out of touch but continued to pine over the other.
Now seven years later Olive returns to their small town where she finds Tabitha never left and owns Copperfield Bar.
What follows is a fun adventure down memory lane and a repeat dance of conversation hashing over what seems to matter most that drove them apart originally. It felt like the two would never understand what is most important when you love someone.
By the time there were only three chapters left, I didn't know if I wanted to shake the author or the MCs, but I kept reading and hoping for a surprise ending and the author and her protagonists didn't let me down.
This turned out to be unexpectedly sweet. I don't know if it's just me or what, it seemed to me that either it's written in a very strange fashion or has some very weird errors. I am giving it four stars though because I did enjoy reading this story of a long lasting teenage love. A very sweet story with some weird writing errors.
