Hardened by war, the last thing he wants is a fated mate. Until he meets her. Now he’s determined to claim her as his own. Forever. Sara: The plan should have been simple. Travel to an alien planet, meet a hot, mysterious guy, definitely don’t fall in love with him, then go back home to Earth. But Ryker’s fiery touch makes Sara melt. His fangs make her dream of late-night neck nibbling. And she’s picturing herself holding lil’ horned alien babies who look a lot like Ryker. Then he tells her he’s claiming her as his fated mate… Ryker: A Commander in the Quillon military, Ryker doesn’t believe in soulmates. Then he meets Sara. He wants to touch her. Protect her. Claim her. With the Blaze raging through him, he must claim her as his fated bride. If he doesn’t, he’ll succumb to the flames, and lose the only woman who can make him feel alive.
Following fate She might have never found her space legs, but she walked her way right into his arms and heart. This was the perfect beginning to the series for the author. I love her take on fated mates, and the alien secrets that are only revealed to the chosen few. I am in love with the characters and the writing style, and I can’t wait to see what happens next with the ladies and their perfect matches. This author has found her way onto my one click list!
Sara travels to Quillon to be a bride. She believes she and the other women with her are saving Earth. She is soulmate/lightmate to Commaner Ryker. They instantly connect and neither wants to ever be without the other. I would've liked a bit more showing Sara settled with a career she loved and both her and Ryker having intimate, sexy fun trying to get pregnant.
This was such a good intro to the series. I like how much world building was included without making the story feel bogged down. There was so much packed into this novella but it didn't feel like it. I loved the small glimpses of the others that will (I assume) pop up again later.
Great start to a new series. The interaction and chemistry between the characters is great, I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book 📚, as a FREE copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
