I’ve finally found the one thing I want more than anything. Too bad the thing is a commit-phobe alpha who wants nothing to do with me...
I’ve always known how to play the game. And most of the time I’ve won—at least when it came to the things that didn’t matter, the things where I could easily cheat my way to victory.
But this time, there’s no cheating my way into Kier Savage’s heart. That’s going to take more skill than I possess. It might even mean opening myself up in ways I never have before. Only the timing could be better since I doubt the pack who wants nothing more than to see both of us gone, or buried, cares about my future happiness.
Can I convince a bull-headed alpha that we have a future? Or is my last-ditch sneak attack destined to end in failure?
Due to adult language, violence, and steamy scenes this book is recommended for 18+
I'm not thrilled with a plot where a woman is rejected a couple times but still chases after a guy. I mean self respect? The plot is well written except at the end where Talis goes into labor before they leave the Stone pack then again a few days later at the BBQ at home.
The male lead is very well developed with a history and background. The female not so much background but her personality is more developed. I do wish there had been more hints as to who the mystery wolf had been.
Overall it's an okay read if chasing guys who tell you they don't want you is ok with you. Of course the story does develop from there and the author does have good writing skills.
DNF @ 25% I saw the blurb and thought there might be some unrequited/rejection angst, but it’s not serious… killing my feels. The couple must’ve dated/hooked up in previous book, we open with her shopping for handcuffs because she’s going to force him to be with her. It wasn’t handled seriously; she’s not feeling sad or rejected. I quit when I hit this…
This one was a little different, only because Hallee is a hilarious character, she’s funny, witty and her banter gave me a giggle. Her determination to help Kier was lovely and so was his slow need to protect her when they both end up in a difficult position. Will they finally get what they both want? Loved this read, great story and plot. The characters are a mix of amazing and totally screwed up. Loads of angst, in so many scenes, some stressful scenes, although throughout we still got playful banter which was good. Some sweet moments with some steamy ones along the way. The fight scene is nail biting but required. Overall a great read, would recommend
I think I’m almost positive I love these two right behind talis and dayne! Don’t get me wrong, I love the whole pack, but Hallee is something else lol. Boy that mouth of hers!! Kier is so different from a lot of the others. He’s so stand offish and quiet. But it only takes a little extra umph and pink fur for him to finally figure out that he has a home he was hiding from. Meanwhile, this pack their stuck in is awful, and small world, our stone brothers hail from here. So much more makes sense now. So much! This has turned into quite the romantic drama series that I’m hooked on!!!
I loved this book & all the others I’ve read in this series so far. Hallee is totally hilarious with her banter & how Nathan told her where her pink handcuffs were so she could handcuff herself to kier was just so funny. You can tell kier has feelings for hallee but he has this dry persona & he doesn’t want her mixed up with the stone pack in any way but of course her wit & smart mouth is just awesome
I always love a good werewolves story. This saga i quite enjoy it but this book I say is one of my favorite if not my favorite one. Both characters are great and well written, they have growth in the story and we all love a grumpy-sunshine story. I live how confident is the FMC and how she fights for what she thinks is right and for her. Love the grumpy MMC and how he develops through out the story. Would definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a grumpy-sunshine, werewolf story.
I didn’t think I would like this story, however, the author’s heroine was hilarious in the most serious and deadly situations. At first I was not a fan of Halle as a clingy, stalker who couldn’t take no for an answer. The interaction with the cops changed my mind. Ms Bale did not disappoint through the rest of the story intermingling humor and references to tv characters.
Do people not proof read the books ? . I know there is bound to be some mistakes but there is more as I read each book
One major mistake was chapter 22, after the pack came to help Keir and Hallee, it said Jeremy and Reagan went back to their pack as they had a teenager shifter aka Riley to deal with. That should have read, Jackson and Reagan I knew what the author ment but come on, big mistake there
I have read all the Cold Alpha series books except the last the Fierce Alpha which has me wanting so badly for its launch date to approach. I loved this series and can't wait to finish it . I would recommend this series to anyone and just so you know you won't be able to put it down I read six(6) out of the seven (7) books in a matter of 3 days. You will love them.
I didn’t love this one as much as the previous installments but it’s still a fun read. I like the variety the author brings to her couples and their ultimate resolutions. That some choose to stay with the pack, start a new pack, or exist with a mate outside of the pack is a nice change from how so many go.
And thankfully we broke the FMC tripping and falling streak with this one.
Can I tell you how ready I was for a strong shifter woman with a healthy past to take charge of her alpha? How does the other keep writing the next book I NEED to read. This is a fantastic series and I’m more than a little sad to read that Eden and Luka will end it.
You will be too, but start from the beginning. Prepare your budget to buy them all.
It was nice, I was beginning get bored with the whole lot. But she was a breath of fresh air, again no double pov and they shifted only once. I didn't realized that it was something I noticed in the series. It is a shifter book... Let's see how it ends!
4.5 fun hit alpha stars again! Hallee was a total kick. Spicy and so lovable. Kier was my favorite stoic, unavailable alpa! I love the further development of the other stories in the background as well. Onto the next one!
The The author knows how to write well from a Paranormal fictional as well as incorporating regular human values and feelings and making these Paranormal. Romances seem like they could be real
Another good read and the pack are again in this book which is great...... What will happen to the Luna now her waters have just broken? Will the stranger be able to help her and the pack
This one definitely wasn't my favorite in the series. A lot of the stuff that happened with the rival pack was just kind of weird and didn't make sense to me. It felt like this book could have went a lot of ways, but this one was just blah.
So I didn’t really want to go to compound and I didn’t love her chasing after him and these books have been good because they suck me in but this one I clearly stopped reading. Would definitely read more from this author and would maybe even finish this one
Now that's what you call a female main character. Hilarious, fierce, strong-willed, and a badass! No one messes with Hallee and she won't give up what she wants
