'Sometimes we don't need words'

Finally! We have been waiting FOREVER for Granger and Olivia to finally give into the attraction and...WOW! It was worth the wait.
They both have baggage, so they needed the time to grow, to learn to trust each other....fully, and to accept their feelings themselves before being brave enough to act on them and open their hearts to love.
Olivia may be full of fire and sass and be the queen of cutting one liners but she needs someone who accepts her for all her quirks and doesn't want to compete with her. Granger just wants to support Liv...ok, maybe he wants to protect her too, but only from her stalker, not from living her life or from annihilating those lawyers stupid enough to go against her in court. They are perfectly matched and steaming hot...speaking of steaming hot....we also get ALL the Townsend brothers....swoon!

I expected nothing less, Ms Brooks!

And, lord I needed a Shadows Landing novel!
Finally, Granger and Olivia get their turn! Seems as if the entire town, and all your fans, (certainly me!) have been waiting and waiting for this novel!
Poor, poor, Olivia, Not! The attorney hospitals cower over, half the Charleston police department is in love with, and Sebastian and Ryker' s personal and corporate shark attorney, and Ryker's best friend, ( yep a lil run-on moth full there), gets up the nerve to take Granger in to hand.
Granger's life is a great one, writing a ticket for a birthday gift for a wonderful mother in law to her hateful daughter in law, ticketing Landry, Jr for gator surfing, and this while the sheriff keeps Shadows Landing save, let alone deals with all the meanness that always finds it's way there, along with love.
But, Ms. Brooks, I say it again, You! Outdid! Yourself!
I knew Olivia and Granger's story would be unique, but you did one better! This story of two people in love, is uniqueness that did not stop. Olivia's hits keep coming, just when I thought, WOW already, you threw in another twist, till the almost very end!
You made my day, the laughter was crazy. According to those who were around, and should know better than to ask what ARE you reading? ( The explanation is forever, repetitively. Honestly!)
I died! Imami, oh my goodness, and Matteo, cracked me up! Matteo only cried once his first week, and Imani never cracked. She definitely "had her girl).
But Olivia with Veronica and Blythe from Keenston, hilarious!
When Kale said he had twenty on Olivia and Veronica for world domination, I thought I would fall off couch laughing!
You brought it all to the table!
Down to the last moment when Olivia asks Miss Tibbie (her pseudo grandmother) to help with a small issue to protect Granger,just a little revenge on her part of for someone who truly earned it. Oh, did I say said favor from Miss Tibbie was on way to jet for honeymoon...
Yep, Shadows Landing beautiful setting, as well as Charleston's, plus characters we come to love. And yet, again, You! Outdid! Yourself!

Granger and Olivia’s story will have you in stitches, tears, and oh shucks events. Kathleen has done a wonderful job with this book. It has been one we’ve all wanted to see and read for a number of years and it has exceeded any expectations. Granger’s full story is told of why he is so afraid of committing and Olivia and her brothers oh my they are a handful. And the ever changing things that are happening to Olivia with her stalker and well as you read, ends up being more than one after her, yet Granger is there every step of the way. His opening up to her is a wonderful scene. Yes all the brothers show up and boy what a selection, hockey player, club owner, doctor, military and a few others and the biggest surprise a sister. Oh yes Lydia and her crew make an appearance as well as another unexpected surprise. Many friends from Shadows Landing are there along with some of the Keeneston crew. This has been one of the best reads for me this year. Can’t wait for the continuing story of the Townsends in Shadows Landing it will be a ride. Congratulations Kathleen on a beautiful story of Granger and Olivia.

As with everyone, we have waited patiently for Granger and Olivia's story. We all knew or at least hoped that they would get together. This story was everything that you waited for. They both bring out the best in each other and need each other to be themselves. We know that Granger is damaged from a previous accident and he was afraid to put himself out there because of past experiences and he felt that Olivia was too good for him. It took Olivia stepping out of her comfort zone to show him she wasn't. This book in typical author fashion had you laughing, crying and gasping in shock trying to quickly turn the page to find out what happen. just when you think you figured out who the stalker was another monkey wrench was thrown into the mix. I loved how the entire town came together to help. Her brothers are hysterical and let's not even get into the knitting club ladies. Then there is Bubba...shadows landing would not be the same without Bubba! if you haven't started this series I ask WHY??? Once you start you will not be sorry.

Damaged Shadows is the ninth book in the Shadows Landing series by Kathleen Brooks. Shadows Landing Series combines small-town charm, suspense, and a dash of romance.
This is a contemporary romance series with a small-town setting, some romantic suspense elements, a little drama, intrigue, tension, mystery, humour, and adventure.
After reading Ms. Brooks ‘Bluegrass’ series, and not being as ‘blown away’ by them as I had expected and hoped, I wasn’t sure if I would take the plunge into this series or not. But as they were sitting on my TBR already, and also wanting to clear my TBR list, I decide to just dive in and get them done. I have to admit that, thankfully, I did ‘enjoy’ this series a bit more than the Bluegrass books.

This is the one I’ve been waiting for, and it did not disappoint. Granger and Olivia were made for each other, something you could clearly see with each previous book building to theirs.
In this book you really got to see a whole new side to Olivia, her relationship with her brothers, the fierce determination she has. I loved her character instantly, so much so that even my boyfriend knows who she is when I talk about any of the books she is in. After reading her story I love her even more.
Granger is the guy who’s always there, who has your back no matter what, but behind that tough persona is a man who has had his confidence broken down by the women he wanted to give his heart to. Watching him overcome that once he found actual love was amazing. The way the Townsend brothers and the whole town found a way to make him embrace the beauty that was within his scars.
The story of these two was well worth the wait.

Since the beginning of this series, we have been waiting for Olivia and Granger's book. We have seen them fight the attraction to one another and this book brought all that sizzling passion between them to the pages of this book. Kathleen Brooks did not disappoint her fans. Along with the whole town, Olivia's brothers, they protect Olivia from a stalker that is disrupting her life and career and also throws her into a relationship she so wants with Granger.

This book will have you LOL, especially in The Knitting Club, the wonderful and witty Ms. Winnie, Ms. Ruth with their bribes of their famous apple pies, Bubba the alligator. This book will have you sighing with the tender moments between Olivia and Granger and cheering when they get the bad guys. It's going to be a long wait for the next book in this series, but I will be waiting with much anticipation and know that it will be worth the wait.

Loved it!

Finally!! Granger and Olivia's story is here and it doesn't disappoint. Olivia is being threatened and that is the catalyst that finally makes them both realize that they are wasting time not acting on their feelings. Granger has felt so alone for years and realizing that he never was and that his friends and the citizens of Shadows Landing have always been there for him is humbling for him.

Trying to keep Olivia safe has finally brought together the entire Townsend clan..all of the brothers and one more are now accounted for😀. Olivia's turmoil will finally bring her old family and new family together.

The book is full of drama and many funny moments..from the brothers constant threats, to Lydia's kids and their antics, to another episode of the knitting club...I wasn't disappointed. I laughed often and the suspense of figuring out who the stalker was worth it.

Granger is an excellent sheriff and is loved by his town. A woman hurt him, and this changed his view on relationships. He has kept his distance from Olivia because he lost his belief in love.

Olivia is a fearless lawyer that knows how to make other lawyers cry by winning her cases. She's a loyal and protective friend and comes from a big loving, and overprotective family. I love how Olivia goes for what she wants and shows Granger that she loves him.

Damaged Shadows is a story that shows us the power of love. Olivia shows him that she sees his heart and that she will love and protect him with the same ferocity he protects everyone he loves.

This story shows us the power of friendship. These fun-loving characters will have you laughing with their craziness and supporting them no matter what.No matter what happens. They stand together and fight for each other. A beautiful series that gets better and more addictive with each book.

Granger the Sheriff of Shadows Landing and just a really good guy. Long ago he was in a car accident that left his body scarred. He was embarrassed by the scares because women didn’t like looking at them. So he basically stop trying. However when he met Olivia Townsend high power attorney for two particular billionaires he knew he was in trouble. He still worried about her seeing his body, even though she saw them before. Olivia has a stalker and they don’t know where to begin. Her life was in danger and Granger was determined to keep her safe, as well as her seven brothers who kept popping up. This story of Olivia and Granger is one of the best to come out of Kathleen Brooks' Shadow Landing Series. There is laughter and adventure from beginning to end. The seven Townsend brothers that show up to "look after" their sister is very entertaining. I loved that Granger was man enough to stand up to all the brothers and never backed down. The bromance between the brothers and Granger will keep you laughing throughout the book, not to mention Olivia's personal assistance and her paralegal. I loved the town, the people, the brothers, and everything that is Shadows Landing, oh, and the "surprise" baby!

GRANGER! Oh, how my heart has cried for him since the first mention of him. I have loved getting to see his character evolve! Olivia caught his interest from first meeting her however with all the scars from his past could he finally let someone in to love him?
Olivia. Her character is good enough I love her for Granger, I just really have a huge interest in all of her brothers. They crack me up and they just keep coming. I loved seeing Granger duke it out with her brothers and eventually develop a bromance!

Oh Granger and Olivia - was worth waiting for

As the ninth book in this series, we saw Granger and Olivia here and there. We were so anxious and excited for the book. I love how Kathleen is able to make the light suspense happen in each book and do so without some kind of template. You have no idea what is going to happen and when. This book was filled with amazing moments for the two main characters along wtih hilarious tidbits about apendicitis, bromance, and more. I can't wait to read it again!

Another great read from Kathleen Brooks

Another great Shadows Landing story. The story has it all, love, suspense/mystery and humor. Finally Granger and Olivia stop dancing around each other when Olivia is in danger. I loved the interaction between Granger and Olivia's brothers. At times it had me laughing ou
t loud. The brothers were a hoot with how proctive they were and learning about life in Shadows Landing. I hope Kathleen plans on writing stories about Olivia's brothers.

Happy ever after. Eventually!

Olivia is a take no prisoners, top rated lawyer. Granger is a Sheriff, badly scared by his past. Both have deep feelings for each other. But the path to true love never runs smoothly, especially if you add Olivia's numerous brothers to the mix! No spoilers, just a beautiful story which moves along at a rapid pace. A welcome addition to the Shadows Landing series.

It's time to return to Shadows Landing. The town built by pirates and guarded by alligators and ghosts.
Granger the town's sheriff and Olivia the best ball busting attorney in the country (possibly the world) get their time in the limelight.

Finally

This is the book that I had been waiting for. I loved Granger and felt for him from book one. I always felt that his self isolation was unwarranted. Olivia always intrigued me as the no nonsense ball busting lawyer. Then when her brothers started showing up (can’t wait for their stories) you really began to see another side to her. I loved how this story unfolded with the twists and turns right until the end. Now, what is Georgina’s secret???

Another great read! I absolutely loved Granger and Olivia's story. This was such a great story. I loved the twist at the end and getting to see Olivia's personality come out. Granger has such a tragic story and Olivia sees right through his barriers. Her brothers make for some great laughs! I sense there will be several more connection stories in here. I didn't think we were ever going to get to Granger and Olivia's story. I enjoyed getting back to Shadows Landing and all of its quirky, humorous characters.

The narration was great. The number of twists and turns kept me fully engaged in the story. Each time I thought the guilty party had been discovered, another twist was added.

I loved the interactions between the Keeneston and Shadows Landing groups. This book was fun, funny, witty with a touch of danger, mystery, and suspense.

Oh KB I do believe this one is my favorite, I loved it from beginning to end, so much so I am doing a reread of the whole series leading up to Liv and Granger.. This was a long time coming!!! I knew Olivia needed someone who was strong and self-assured in his masculinity to appreciate her. And because she is such a strong woman, Olivia wouldn't let Granger hide. Granger's proving himself to her brothers was hilarious!! Let the bromance begin! The best one yet!

Granger and Olivia have circled each other through several books and the build up was worth the wait. It took a threat to make both of them admit their feelings and act on them...and the "threat" was a surprise I didn't see coming.
I loved meeting the rest of Olivia's family and can't wait to read their stories.

Another Great Read!

Kathleen does it again! For those of us who have been waiting for Grangers book, it did not disappoint. Several twists and turns in this one, which certainly kept me engaged. Olivia and Granger are perfect together. As always Shadows Landing is a perfect escape.
