October 22, 2022Alright..... this book needs some editing.
If I were reading this as a Beta/ARC reader- I would have went into it with an open mind and EXPECTED some errors that I could bring to the author's attention before it went out to the masses.
If there tend to be more errors than I have fingers at the 17% mark...... I can't go on. 🥴
So far, the story was doing OK. I felt like there was pretty good flow and the story idea sounded good, but I couldn't get past the errors. 😖
If the author would like me to read this with more of an open mind and want me to send the errors that needed revised back to them, I would be willing to do that. - send me a message.
*Not rating as I only made it less than 20%.

Here we have another brand new author knocking it out the park with her debut book in her series TNT, Top Notch Tats. I've been lucky to cross paths with 4 or 5 other new authors for this year, and I'm so excited to be able to add Rainy to that. Tricked grabbed my attention immediately, and I couldn't put it down til it was finished. You will definitely want to read this for yourself. Can't wait for book 2 😍😍😍😍😍

Mistory aka Lex, just graduated and she is planning to become and indie writer. She wants first hand knowledge rather than research for her book, so she is looking for a tattoo parlor to observe. While checking places out she ends up with an opportunity to meet/work at one of the best. So the blurb for the book lists a lot of guys that are part of “The Crew” - this seems more like introductions the characters and they aren’t all going to be in the harem - some seem to be ending up with friends. I do like the way the author portrays the friendships and the fun dynamics. Lex is an interesting character and I liked seeing her take on things. This is an insta-lust/love story, which I found a little over the top, but I went with it and it was fun. This is a slow build RH, meaning that it seems men may be added to the harem as the series progresses. I’m really looking forward to learning about Lake. There were a few places where I thought things were fast forwarded or glossed over, but overall I really enjoyed this debut and will be watching for book 2 :)

On the recommendation of someone i brought this book and i cant tell you how happy i was that i did. I love when i find a new author i havent heard of before and finding that their style of writing is right up my street. Tricked is definitely one of those books. Mistory (FMC) is looking for a tattoo palour to research for her book and in the process she ends up with a job at TNT (Top Notch Tats). Which in turn puts her right in the middle of plenty of tattooed hotties.......swoon!! Thats not the only reason that this book gripped me though. The plot twist, the completely nutty Ex's (and yes theres a few of them in this book) but its also the array of family and friends that brought their backstories and laughs too. I loved that. Tricked was a brilliant start and I cant wait to get my hands on the rest of the books in this series

Congratulations on your debut! I absolutely love the story and can't wait to see how it unfolds.
It's more than just a love story, there's drama, crazy exes, sabotage and friends upon friends.
It's a slow build RH with plenty of candidates of who will join next.
Each character has been described with enough backstory that leaves you wanting to know more.
I did struggle in parts to keep track of who's who, I've never wondered if there should limits to main characters until now. I'm hoping as the story unfolds more, each character will stand out and be more clearer to recognise.
Overall an enjoyable read, with tattooed and pierced men - what more could a girl ask for 😍

I loved this book! It was a change of pace from all the bully dark romance that I have been reading! I love the setup for the other relationships in this book and not just the main characters! I can see a whole series coming out of this book! I was hoping that there was going to be more added to the harem but now I am not so sure, but the dynamics of group as a whole is amazing. I love the storyline and even better is all the tattooing and piercing as I am very big in body modification, this book really captured all my interests. Thank you for a good read, I am patiently waiting for the second book!

Tats are sexy....same as piercings
It started out good. But the more I read the more I got bored sorry. It's not bad per se but I really wouldn't consider this a RH. Atleast not yet. Let has all the info about multiple couples being together and still found it weird or whatever not wanting to be with the other cause she was Gage. Honestly I was tired of seeing her with mostly with Gage. Idk Bout Tony honestly. I think one of the other guys was a better suitor. I will read the next cause I need to know more and I dont leave books undone. Itsbabgood effort tho. I gave 4 stars because I never five anything less.

Mistory (Lex) is writing a book about a male and female character, her mom thinks that it would be great as a RH or love triangle, Lex continues with the male and female story she wants to do.
She has to do research about tattoo shops, so she goes to TNT (Top Notch Tats) and meets Gage that has a fire tattoo she wants to lick.
Then there's Jesse, his hands are always covered by gloves.
He has sex gloves for special occasions.
If you like RH, you'll enjoy this book.
All the characters are likeable and you'll learn about each character little at a time mixed with hot scenes to keep you reading more.

The book is written from multiple perspectives to create a reverse harem of relationships covering different kinks, fetishes and fantasies. It is a unique story covering not only the how but the why behind the steamy erotic scenes and the tattoo and piercing culture. It is well written from a millennial viewpoint and I highly recommend it.

Loved this book. I loved the tattoo aspect as I'm a huge tattoo lover. I loved that she just wanted information on tattooing for her book. I loved that the guys all gave her more than she bargained for and ended up making her book content even better. I loved that she ended up having her own little harem. I hated the psycho people who came after her and tried to kill her. I loved that they were all able to figure out what was going on and how the boys went and got her a new car. I would definitely reread.

First of all I LOVE THIS BOOK!! It’s well written the characters are great the story is amazing. Just ugh. Secondly, WHY WOULD YOU END IT LIKE THAT AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIR TIL APRIL!!!!! Anyways. I love lex and I cannot WAIT to see how this all develops also I discovered some things about me lol. Okay patiently waiting now!

Amazing storyline, desperately needs an editor
I hope this author keeps writing, because she seems to have decent ideas. But the grammar and spelling are atrocious. And several times the story gets jerked forward in time, but we miss out on seeing major events. A good editor would make this decent story that much better.

Amazing Read!
Wow! I love a good contemporary RH and this book checks all the boxes. I can’t believe I have to wait until April for the next book! The story line is so good and that cliff hanger is killing me.

A "novel" idea
A author that wants to learn the ins and outs of a tattoo parlor. She didn't bargain for the super sexy hot owner(s) or that someone would be trying to cause her harm. This books joins her on a journey of a lifetime. Thoroughly enjoyed!

This book was top notch! I absolutely loved this book & every single character in it! The guys and Lex made for an amazing book! This is my first time reading this author, but I will deff be reading her again! This book was so good & I deff recommend it!

loved reading this
���something about the writing style took me quite a while to get into. This is the kind of book where you listen to the music as you’re reading. It’s constantly referencing the songs on in the background and music plays a large part of the texting dialogue.

This is only my 3rd RH and it was really good. Rainy does an amazing job with the characters and plot. And the ending... I cannot wait for the next book!! Well worth the read!

Tricked is definitely a hot 🥵 read that had me hooked till the end and ready to dive into the next book. Mistory aka Lex is looking to intern at a tattoo parlor to research for a book she wants to write. When a job offer at Top Notch Tats lands in her lap she gets more than just steam for her story. Really enjoyed the characters and storyline, excited to see what happens next in the series.

I absolutely feel in love with the characters in this book. Mistory AKA Lex is a total bad*ss. She is a knife throwing up and coming author. She is looking to write a book involving a tattoo shop. That's what brings her to TNT AKA Top Notch Tattoos. While there she comes meets the MILK crew. The crew at TNT are such a loving family and do amazing tattoos. I feel in love with Gage and Jesse instantly. I love the bond Lex has with Sage and Victory. Trust me this book does not disappoint. I give this book 5 stars and recommend it. This author is up and coming and her storyline and vision for this series is Amazing. She not only caught my full attention with this storyline but also gave these characters life.

Ok so I would give this story a 3.75 rounded up to 4 stars. I was slow to give this series a try because the blurb was very frustrating. It was hard to tell what the story was even going to be about and who the main “cast” of love interests were. There is a lot of names in this book and it’s very hard to keep track of who they are.
The idea and story are good. The slow burn of some of the relationships was a bit painful though. For the first book it’s really only a MF Romance with a little bit of flirting with male interest 2 and the hot/cold “I’m not good for you” nonsense with guy 3. Guy 4 isn’t even in the story yet.
The story jumps a little bit too much and glosses over interactions or events that really should to be addressed. The introduction of new characters is really abrupt and the drama it should be causing doesn’t really land which is disappointing, because it definitely would have added spice to the story.
An edit is needed to address the spelling errors and incorrect words being used in sentences but all in all it is a good read and I’ll definitely continue with book 2.

Wow! Just wow! This book is phenomenal! The story is great, it flows nicely, and is just fantastic! And the spice level!? Is HOT!! But that cliffhanger!? I can’t wait until book two comes out!!

March 16, 2023I.. what? The many 5 star reviews gave me hope, but I was clearly reading a different book. I'm not going to rate it as I can not get past 30%. It badly needs an editor, and honestly, the story just does not flow. Some of the writing is just so random and disjointed that I couldn't follow what was happening. Tbh, Gage is the reason I stuck it out this long. Just constant confusion and cringing, so I'm out.
