She raced blindly through the darkness until a bright flash from another gunshot showed her the way. The killer was near the brood mare pen. Her strides grew faster as her adrenaline quickened. What am I going to do when I’m face to face with this killer? her mind raced. If she could see the angel rushing ahead of her, she’d have no fear. But all she saw was the man’s face as he turned to see who was running up behind him. Stopping dead in her tracks she nearly dropped the rifle once she realized who it was. No, her mind screamed, too stunned to breathe the word out loud. In this gripping novel, of good vs. evil, find out how many unseen spirits are revealed to a Dodge City court reporter that gets involved in a murder investigation.
Several years ago, a friend gave me this book that was written by a family member. I’ve put off reading it for a long time, because I don’t read much fiction anymore. Unfortunately, this book was a reminder of why I quit reading most fiction. The plot was shallow and contrived, and the story was predictable and somewhat corny at points.
