Great book with well developed characters and plot lines. I loved the story and the sex scenes were hot. Now, that being said, there were a just a couple of phrases that kinda weirded me out a little - Example:"crusted nipples" O_o What is that?! Phrases like that just don't feel like they should be in a love scene. Gross...

This book was just as great as the first one.....The author really makes you understand that having all the money in the world doesn't make life perfect. She makes you see that life is full tragedies weather you be rich or poor, there are no short cuts. You still have to learn when to except help from others and appreciate and value what other so easily push aside.

I don't know what I was expecting when I started reading this book but it was pleasantly surprising and really good.
Kaya Brehna never really knew her half-sister, they had the same father but different mothers. Kaya's mom was abusive and she ended up in the foster care system. Lauren grew up with both parents and she was loved and cared for. Kaya's father loved her too but her mother made it impossible to have a relationship with him. So here Kaya is in Granite Falls, NH being told that she is now the guardian of her sister's 3 children, who died tragically along with her husband in a car accident. And on top of all of that Kaya is now face to face with the children's godfather who is determined to fight her every step of the way to keep the children with him.
Bryce Fontaine is a successful businessman who also happens to be a billionaire. Bryce has known a major tragedy in his life that keeps him on the outside except his three godchildren, they keep Bryce tethered to the land of the living, and now that his friends are gone, and Kaya has arrived on the scene to take the children, Bryce now feels that his world is about to explode because without his godchildren he has nothing. So he is none to pleased and spoiling for a vicious court battle with Kaya Brehna to keep the children with him. Bryce's world and that of the children are up in arms but what he never expected or could have guessed that Kaya was actually going to be the calm in everyone's storm. Kaya who had no idea how to raise children let alone be anybody's mother was determined to learn and she didn't need the storm named Bryce to upset her goals.
Two people, Kaya and Bryce find that they are better together than apart, now with a change in the second will that gives Bryce the children, he is determined to keep Kaya in Granite Falls, so in suggesting that they marry to keep everyone all under one roof seems like a great idea but Bryce thinks because he loved once already he can't possibly love again until Kaya proves him wrong. Kaya who has never known love will finally get to experience what real love looks and feels like but first she has to break through the wall that Bryce has built up around his heart from the tragedy of losing his first wife.
A really great story that was well written and told, the author really got the devastating loss of what children experience when their parents have died and when a spouse loses their mate. And the effects of when children grow up in foster care and the emotional battles they face once they become adults. This is definitely worth a read and it will not be my last time reading author Ana E. Ross.

This started okay - I was excited by the prospect of these two people coming together to raise these kids! plus they were both POCs, which doesn't happen often enough in books! - but it turned horrible past the middle point, and by then it was too late for me to stop reading (I have a disease, a very sad book-finishing disease, there's no cure).
It turned horrible because A) the hero manipulated the heroine into marrying her, and we were supposed to find that cute, I think? and then he traveled across the country to scare her ex-fiancé, which was also shown as romantic and not the creepy-ass act it actually was? he is shown as wanting to select which friends she'll have in Granite Falls? and then near the end of the book we learn he keeps tabs on her whereabouts at all times, but it's okay because he has a tragic past? IT IS NOT OKAY. It was also horrible because B) the heroine had an orgasm just from making out? what? and then every sex scene became overblown multiorgasmic sessions? she had an orgasm from him sucking on her toes (which also, ew, toes)? his penis was so incredibly big that it hurt her? they could spend their entire lives having sex even though they had three kids to take care of and he had what was supposed to be an important job?
Lots of questions in this book, basically. (Number one, how dare you.)

This was a typical romance. From time to time I really enjoy a good romance and I enjoyed this one. The novel starts when Kaya is 5 years old. She loves her dad. He is her everything. On this day her dad is saying good bye and that he is sorry. When she is 12 she attends her dad's funeral and learns he had an older daughter and another wife. With no child support coming in, Kaya's mom just up and leaves with her current boyfriend. Kaya gets lunches on school days, but starves on weekends. The phone and electric are turned off. She starts stealing food to survive and gets caught. That's when social services learns that she is alone and she goes through the foster care system.
She graduates college with a degree in interior design and is fairly successful in FL. A childhood friend asks her to marry him. She does not love him, but he had been a good childhood friend. After her childhood, she doesn't trust anyone to stay around, so if they marry and he leaves or she decides it's not working for her, she won't be hurt. Then she learns her sister and her husband died leaving her to care for their 3 children. She travels to where the kids live believing she will be moving them to FL where she lives. She learns that they have no money. But they do have the same godfather whom they know and love. He is rich and vows to fight for the kids. Things seem to be just starting to get less tense and another lawyer turns up saying the kids were left in Bryce's care. Bryce's solution is for them to marry. He has the money, the kids and their parents had been living in his house since their own home burned down, and she is their only relative. Can they make it work? If so, at what personal price?

Kaya was happily living her life in Florida. But in a split second it changed with news that her sister and brother-in-law were dead and she needed to come to Granite Falls immediately. She discovers that she has been given legal custody of their three children. Now what is she going to do? And what is Bryce, the godfather going to say about this when he returns from the Alps. She finds out soon enough and he is not happy..

Bryce and Kaya are thrown together in a battle over the children of his best friends and her sister and brother-in-law. They come to an agreement, reluctantly. There's a fierce attraction they both are fighting. This is an intense, complex relationship and the outcome is Hot. Recommend Read. Cannot wait for book three. They just keep getting better.

Wow! These two heat it up! I can’t imagine having to go through what either of these two have. Kaya, with her vindictive, worthless mother and Erik, losing the wife he loved. Kaya and Erik healed each other and made every day brighter. They fought the attraction tooth and nail as they were on opposite sides of a major issue.

Enjoyed Kaya and Bryce better than Michele and Eric's love story. Although it was slightly more believable, I was disappointed that when Bryce suggested that they get married Kaya did not even try to argue with him and explore another alternative.
In this book Eric is referred to as a pediatrician while he's a gynecologist in The Doctor's Secret Bride. I was disappointed by the irregularity.

After I read The Doctor's Secret Bride I couldn't wait to read this one. This book's storyline was very good, sad, & heart breaking. This story proves you can get second chances. This is the 4th book I read by Ms. Ross I can't wait to read the next one.

I loved book 2 in the Billionaire Brides series. Bryce and Kaya's story was simply adorable. I love a good romance novel with children in the story. I can not wait to read book 3 in the series. I want to know what is going on with Massimo. Great job Mrs. Ross.

Ahh, another great book. The story starts with complete sadness. Just broke my heart. This is a great story of Kara and Bryce love, friendship, and family coming together. Very hot!

This is book two in The Billionaire Brides of Granite Falls series and it is Kaya and Bryce’s story. Kaya’s childhood had been very traumatic and she hadn’t had a easy life at all so when her sister and brother-in-law died in a car accident she was awarded custody of their three children and she knew that she would have to move away from Granite Falls if she was ever to give them a stable upbringing but unfortunately Bryce had other plans because as their godfather he will make sure that he not only gets custody but also they need to stay in Granite Falls because this was there home so now there are many complications that Kaya didn’t need or want but she was determined to fight and keep the children with her and together even though she knew that it wouldn’t be easy because they were her only family. Bryce had been through his own trauma and even years later he was still suffering and having nightmares and never got over the loss and he became a bit of a player and didn’t do relationships or commitments but when his best friends died in a car accident he was determined as their godfather to not only keep the children in Granite Falls but also somehow get custody of them especially as he had the money to do it and if he had too he would play dirty and he would do anything and everything possible regardless of what he had to do or the consequences involved because he loved those children like they were his own and nobody was taken them away. When Bryce and Kaya first met there was a instant attraction and chemistry between them but then things started to go downhill fast as they argue about the children so now they both need to find a way to work together for the benefit and what is best for the children because they are the most important people to both of them and in they end they decided to get married and take care of the children together but will it eventually give them a future together or will it all fall apart leaving only heartbreak behind. This book was so emotional and felt like you were there going through everything with them and my heart broke for them all and everything that had happened in their lives. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one sitting until the early hours of the morning because it was totally addictive, emotional and kept your attention throughout and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

It took me a while to make myself read this book, only because I had read the first one and found the ending to be too intense for me. It turned out to be way better than I thought it would be.
Kaya is only 23 when she inherits three very young children, one of them a baby. She isn’t rich and begins to worry about how she will take care of all of them. Despite this, and despite not having known her half-sister that well, she immediately, and without hesitation decides to take care of her nieces and nephew. She hasn’t experienced love of a man or that of family since her father left at a very young age and her mother was never there for her. But she opens herself up to that emotion.
The placement of the three children is what leads to the meeting of Kaya and Bryce. Bryce is very loyal and honorable. He has known the children since they were born and is soo good with them. I could actually feel how deep his love was for the kids. Despite the slight dispute in the beginning about who will get the kids, he helps Kaya get close to them. I liked how Bryce and Kaya first meet and feel the attraction between them but have so many reasons not to think more of it.
I like the author’s writing style. Her choice of words and small moments are always written so well. There was such nice, descriptive writing. Ana Ross does a great job writing about love and emotion and painful moments.
There were several things that made me like the book more. The love for the dead spouse didn’t seem to overshadow the relationship between the characters as it did for the previous book. That was a major improvement. I also loved the mention of God. It seemed to make the story seem more real. I was glad to hear the truth behind Kaya’s past relationship. I liked that there was nobody that came between Kaya and Bryce or caused a major separation or jealousy. It seems that authors always resort to those types of things to add angst in the story but it causes way more tension than needed and just becomes a cliché. This story did so well without it.
I didn’t think anything was missing from this story but I do hope Ms. Ross tries a slightly different scenario than men with deceased wives and children from a previous marriage. Also, I think it would be good to see female characters with different past histories than the ones in the first two books. Both females had some conflict with their father. Also, I wish authors didn’t always have the male characters having so many past relationships with women. In this story it wasn’t too much of a deal, but it always seems like the male characters are interchangeable in romance for this reason.
This book had a couple of similarities to the first book but it was still different, didn’t keep reminding me of the first one. Sometimes authors add so many different conflicts or have too many things happening in a book, it’s hard to believe it could be real. This book had just the right amount.

Ana E. Ross has done it again! The Mogul's Reluctant Bride is the second book in her Billionaire Brides Of Granite Falls series and it doesn't disappoint. Kaya Brehna's life has just undergone a major upheaval. According to her estranged sister's will, Kaya is now guardian to three young children following an accident that has taken the lives of both her sister and brother-in-law. The problem is, Kaya has never been a part of her sister's life and until this current tragedy she hadn't even met her new charges. Kaya embraces her responsibility and is planning on fulfilling her sister's last wish. But there's a problem. Her sister, despite the appearance of living in the lap of luxury, died without a penny to her name. If that's not enough, there's also the problem of billionaire Bryce Fontaine, the children's godfather. The wildly attractive mogul is so attached to the children that he's not only hurt that he wasn't named legal guardian in the will, but he's willing to use his considerable financial resources to fight and overturn it.
The Positives: The characters were amazingly real to me. Their individual backgrounds gave them a believability that isn't always present in romance books. It made me feel as if I knew them, and I really did want the child custody issue to work out in a way that would work for the both of them. Another major plus was that this wasn't insta-love. There was certainly chemistry from the first look, but the attraction was quickly thrust back in the face of a potential custody battle. When these two succumb to the underlying passion between them, watch out! Like I said - Bryce was all kinds of deliciousness. His past story was sad, but powerful and really fleshed him out for me.
The Negatives: This author really has a thing for the overly sized penis! Okay, so some might wonder what's the problem, but it seemed like an unnecessary gimmick in a book that was written so well. As a reader you know that Bryce is beyond sexy and that he'll be a god in the bedroom, so the super-size me appendage wasn't necessary in my honest opinion (to be honest, it even made me cringe at one point).
The Final Word: I really enjoyed this book from start to finish. There's a lot of pain and heartbreak, but it is also about two people moving forward, finding love, and creating a new family in the wake of loss. I really am impressed by Ana Ross and I'm look forward to reading the third book in the series starring Massimo Andretti (love that name - so sexy!). It was soo worth the wait for this book to come out. This is one of the best series I have read..really Anna E Ross is an amazing writer.
The Mogul's Reluctant Bride is amazing..I love Bryce, ( I love this name soo much that that if and when I decide to have children and I'm blessed with a boy I'm naming him Bryce) he is physically strong, the protector for Kaya and the children but emotionally he is in need of love, faith, trust trust and someone to believe in him and feel the void of the love he lost. I love the relationship between Bryce and Kaya, they work well together and the faith they have on each other considering both their history is amazing, even though they do not always have faith in themselves. Kaya is a staring young woman that you can aspire to, even though she has been let down a lot she sees the positive of the future and she finally finds the closure she has needed since she was five.
The kids are amazing Jason is such as old soul you really are amazing by his behaviour thAt sometimes it feel like his older than his years, Alyssa is full of energy and sweet and baby Anastasia is just plain adorable, an instant family that heals each other's wounds and protests each other from getting hurt.
It another great story from the Billionaire Brides of Granite Falls. I love we get to catch up from Michelle and Eric and their growing family along with new characters and amazing new grandparents who are a blessing and quite noisy but can't help but love them. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

It was not, repeat, not a disappointment. My but was up until midnight. Was two hours late for work and cannot, cannot wait to start on book three. Ding Dong, Ding Dong!!! I am officially in love with Ms. Ross books. This was the AWESOME!!!!!
This is the second book and it starts with a blast. Kaya is in Granite Falls for the funeral of her sister, whom did she not know about until recently and her sister's husband. Unfortunately, three kids are left homeless, broke and without parents. Bryce, a billionaire, arrives to take over raising the kids. He has known both parents and kids since their birth. He loves them as if they were his own. Kaya on the other hand, wants to take them back to her home in Florida to raise. She also finds out that since there is no insurance money to help her raise the kids, she and Bryce come to a “reluctant” agreement and marry. For the kids sakes only.
Eventually the seriousness of their attraction to each other, the intense stares, looks, lust in their eyes is damn more stronger than “HOT,” it is burning up in here. The hurts and secrets of Kaya’s relationship with her father and sister, the hurts of a death in Bryce’s family as well as the pain and anger of the kids due to their loss, brings them all together, but it's not going to be easy. The story plots had me up all night wanting to find out more and more about Bryce and Kaya’s past. The sexual and romantic erotic flavor is intense. I mean vehemently intense. Watch out, you are going to get the third and want another and another from this writer.

Where I immediately loved Eric in The Doctor's Secret Bride, it took me a really long time to bond with Bryce. He starts out this story as kind of a dick. I mean, instead of stopping and dealing with the situation in front of him like an adult, he just has a tantrum and expects everything to go his way. Not exactly the most endearing of male leads. He did grow on me. But not as much as other male leads.
Although I didn't love the male lead in this story, the storyline definitely drew me in. Not that common when I don't love one pf the leads. I mean, 3 kids losing their parents, a girl losing her sister that she barely knows? It's enough to make you tear up just a little. And lessens the dumbassery of Bryce.
I like that although Ross features billionaires as the male love interest in this series (not exactly a leap given the name of the series), the women have a much more difficult history. I love how Ross is able to build in a tragic past for Kara. Her, alongside the children really pulled on my heartstrings and made me hope like crazy for a happy ending.
I may not have enjoyed the second book as much as the first, but there are also some fun glimpses of the next story in this series. So I've loaded it up on ny ereader and I'm ready to dig my tired baby brain into this whole new romance.

What can i say this was a good story, from the moment kaya had walked into steven office her life was turned upside down once again she had meet Bryce Fontaine he did not make it easier for her in the beginning bryce is a nice guy. But you can tell that he had a lot of hurt in him from his past and including kaya both of there lives was not easy no matter how successful bryce his you can tell that all he wanted was to be loved and once his loved was taking away he felt like he really couldn't find it again. Kaya life had changed for the better even though she thought she couldn't love somebody else she ended up loving three little kids that is not hers yeah it was tuff in the beginning but she got threw to the kids especially jason because he was the one having a hard time dealing with the lost of his parents. But once kaya got through to him he seems to be opening up to her and so as bryce i guess after that therapy session it was good for both of them to attend because it seems that they were able to move on. And getting married for the kids ended up working out for the best for them but most of all it was a good read.

“You were kissing. And that’s where babies come from,” Precious stated in a voice of authority.
“Babies don’t come from kissing,” Jason corrected her.
“Yes, they do.” Precious dug her heels in. “That’s how my brother Erik was born. Michelle and my dad were kissing, and Erik started growing in her tummy. And then my daddy and Michelle got married and she became my new mommy.” She threw her hands in the air. “They’re always kissing and now she’s gonna have another baby.”
Kaya thought Ethan looked dazed and confused before he said, “You know, she might be right. Ever since my dad came from England to live with us, he and my mom are always kissing. And now I have two brothers.”
“See, I told you.” Precious swung her head causing her long thick curls to bounce off her shoulders and down her back. “That’s why I don’t let boys kiss me. I don’t want a baby.”

On to the second book in the series. If you have read the first book you will know there is no doubt in your mind you will love this book. Ignore the rude and cruel reviews and undeserving ratings that were given. I have noticed in life and even in reading books people will look for the bad and always remember it but I am one of those people I read the ENTIRE story and see the good and the bad which makes the story great. What would a book be without the bad parts (like the drama or the tears or the hurt) it would be a boring book. This book was just as great as the first one.....The author really makes you understand that having all the money in the world doesn't make life perfect.

An excellent story. Two people uniting their lives in order to bring a sense of safety and security to three children aftrr their parents pass away unexpectedly. First and foremost, this story is an excellent example of parents who love and care enough about their children to have a will in place even if there is no money, maybe especially because there is no money, it is for the childrens' well being.
I like this story on multiple levels, the presence of the will, the support of the community, the close relationship with their godfather as well as the healing of the sisters past.
