Let's be honest with this series... I read this series in MangaPlus because I haven't see any Update from my favorite comics. So, I Know Doron Dororon is a part of Weekly Shonen Jump. And as far as I know, Shonen Jump always has this typical aspects from their manga :
1. The Main Character hate this one "creature" (Vampire, Ghoul etc) 2. The Main Character wants to be this "super hero" look like, but, well they just don't have any requirement of being Hero 3. The Main Character end up to be the "creature" or work together with them
I know there are so typical and tbh, I am kinda bored with those aspects...
And...
Doron Dororon has all those aspects... There is nothing more than "okay" plot. The good thing is the artwork is super amazing
Gonna get my finger crossed to the next plot... I need more surprise
Read the official English translation through an app called “MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA”. I was very curious about this series just off of the initial image and description. After reading the first few chapters, I knew I was going to be keeping up with each update that releases on the Manga Plus app. Dora and Kusanagi’s bond and their interactions together are very cute to see, especially how they progressed from their first meeting to the end of this volume. I’m very excited to read more of this series and really hope this doesn’t get cancelled early.
Overall, the series is about a 4.5 out of 10 stars. The best thing I like about it, is the Main Characters and his side kick buddy cop friendship. Which comes off as REALLY cute.
But then the rest of it comes off too generic and I don't know what the mangaka could have done. To take it out of that slump. Shonen did at least let this series get a proper ending. We did have to rush to the finish though.
If you liked this at all. I recommend to check out Bright from Netflix, Copcraft from Hulu, Demon Slayer from Shonen, and Claymore from Shonen as well.
Read via Shonen Jump's subscription through Viz and the app.
Honestly, feels like Demon Slayer Lite (young guy wants to be a hero, is friends with a monster, and fights monsters) albeit with very little of the emotional punches that Demon Slayer has. Nonetheless, I like this one and would like for it to continue for a good while if there's more story worth telling.
This won't be the next biggest manga, but it's a fun one thats keeping me entertained without being dauntingly large.
** Leido de la Version Español en Manga Plus ** el primer numero de este manga se ve divertido , el mononoke bueno se ve de lo mas simple, pero bueno vamos a ver si para el siguiente numero se vuelve mas interesante...
read Chapters 1 to 7 between Dec. 5, 2021 up to Jan. 23, 2022 - Chapter 1 to 7 gives me the vibes between a Pokémon and its master! And, it's that kind of friendship dynamic that is popular among Pokémon manga fans.
Anyway, I gave this volume 3 out of 5. It's alright, but it doesn't leave me wanting for more. This series might be the perfect series for elementary or middle school kids, not high school kids.
We'll see whether this series will last. Chapters 6 - 7 is already giving me bad vibes that this Doron Dororon will be axed soon. Sad! But, I hope I'm wrong.
Interesting stories, by the first chapter I was already really interested in Dora and Sasaki's characters and friendship. Gives me vibes similar to Demon Slayer and Black Clover which, for me, is a good thing.
