Recently, Sisto has felt his world evolving. While juggling the mayhem in the city, he must also juggle his home life and activities outside of the police department. From his relationship with his girlfriend, his boss, his superintendent…everything is moving in a new direction. The world he lives in won’t wait for him to catch up and neither will his new nemesis. The case that presents itself puts Sisto in the front lines with nothing but his Glock, his instincts, and his second sight, The Reels.

Brian B. Ewing has once again seamlessly blended the grounded tension and character-driven plot of a police procedural with the eerie wonder of the contemporary urban fantasy trope of the psychic detective. Ewing crafts a world where the metaphysical doesn't overwhelm: it enriches. Saratoga City feels lived-in, raw with corruption, loss, and potential. Sisto is probably at his most likeable in this installment so get ready to really root for him, especially as he has a lot more to lose in this installment! Brilliant, gritty, and electrifying! It's a must read revenge story!

Third time is the charm
I think this book is my favorite of the three so far! Sisto's story comes full circle beautifully!! I love all the characters incorporated in this book to make a very enjoyable read. Without giving too much away, I feel like Sisto really comes into his own. All in all beautifully done.

Sisto and his psychic ability which he had deemed "The Reels", have been doing good work the last few months since his first undercover assignment. The newest visitor to Saratoga City will put every skill Sisto has to the test.
