Twelve Christmas Stories--Blushing Book Style

The anthology is twelve novellas from old and new authors with Blushing Books. They revolve around the Christmas season and some new people meeting and entering a relationship and others are couples already involved. The advantage of an anthology is reading new authors, the disadvantages of the novellas are they are shortened and you don't have the deeper character development and interaction.

Some of the stories have intimacy, and others do not. They do all have power exchange relationships.

As with any anthology, this was a mixed bag.
Some I really enjoyed and wanted more of - Megan McCoy, LA Day and Annabelle Marin's contributions.
Others were fine but unremarkable and a couple of others bored me to tears.

But this is a Blushing Books collection to look forward too every year.

A little eggnog, a few Christmas cookies, and some naughty fun!
On the first day of Christmas Blushing gave to me a book full of naughty little gems. On the second day of Christmas I read much too late and got nothing done that day. On the third day of Christmas I had to tell you gang this was a fun book to read. Now I will admit that I did not save and read just one tale a day no I devoured it and love every minute too. This collection has some of my favorite authors. L.A. Day is a new author for me but I really enjoyed their story. If you like a bit of spice to go with your Christmas cookies then this is the one to get. Oh and a little birdie told me that this one just may be free on kindle unlimited soon that is another plus. I did receive a free copy of this book from Booksprout and voluntarily chose to review it.

The twelve Christmas tales included here sweep you through Regency England, Oklahoma in the late 1880s, Los Angeles in the 1920s, all the way up to the present day, spanning an equally wide range of characters and storylines. Standouts are Megan McCoy’s enjoyable entry, A Kinkirk Holiday, which introduces a new series she’s writing built around the intriguing Kinkirk family, and the warm, wonderful Gift of Christmas by Mariella Starr. Carolyn Falkner is always a treat to read and her Holiday to Remember is no exception. Overall, an entertaining collection.

Each year Blushing Books comes out with a Christmas Anthology of seasonal spanking romances. The quality is always there, but some stories are a little spicier than others. My personal favorites, not because of the author but rather the content, were Substitute Bridesmaid, by Ebony Rose (that really doubled up on the action), Christmas Orders by L.A. Day, and A Holiday to Remember by Carolyn Faulkner. It was most refreshing to see Ms. Faulkner going back to some of her more risqué content. All in all, you can’t go wrong with getting/reading this anthology as there really is at least a little something for everyone and no worries of getting any “coal in your stocking”. 4 Stars.

Enjoyable short stories from some newer authors

Each of the twelve stories were short but cute. I wish there were more, but it is nice to sit by the cozy fire or snug in your reading chair and escape for a short time. Each of the stories had spice to them. It was enjoyable and fun. Not much character development, but they were fun for what they were.

Spicy hot steamy pages. The stories are filled with action, drama and more. They are each a full story that will keep you reading to see what happens. The twist unfold in between the pages filled with steamy hot Alpha Heroes and strong feisty and sweet heroines. Who know what they want even if they may not accept it. If you are looking for a bit of spice and naughty holiday stories. You have found the best with a extra dash hot and spicy.

Long collection of short stories.

If sweet Christmas stories of women who are spanked by their men for being naughty is your cup of tea, then this is the collection for you. I read the first 3 of 11 stories - there is a lot of reading in this anthology - and while I found them mildly enjoyable, they really are just not for me.

Twelve Naughty Days of Christmas 2021 is this year’s collection of short stories that are all based around Christmastime! Some are steamy, some are sweet, they might even have a spanking or two, but all have a lot of love happening around the holidays!
A Kinkirk Holiday by Megan McCoy - Hailey is a wanderer looking for a place to land for the holiday season when she finds Rome, his bar, and his special family. As the holidays come to a close, will this Daddy convince his Little to stay a while and give them a chance? This was short and almost like a teaser for this family - there’s so many things I want to know more about, when it comes to Rome, the specialness or his family, and why Hailey felt the need to constantly travel. I loved their connection, though. Her hard work balanced with his, and they both loved helping others. I definitely felt like they were two sides of the same coin. Rome was protective and dominant and was all Daddy, so I liked that dynamic of their relationship, too. I’m definitely left wanting more from this world, but I enjoyed this story and the Christmas magic that was within!

Home for Christmas by Constance Masters - Lily and Jack’s marriage is on the rocks, but with the help of a meddling family, can this couple find a second chance at love during Christmas? This novella was sweet and emotional, and I liked that it took place now with flashbacks into good and bad times in their marriage. Lily hated confrontation, but also didn’t really know what she wanted. I liked how she matured over this family visit and realized that not everything had to be in her control, or that not everything revolves around her. I liked Jack and that he didn’t give up on their marriage. He poked at Lily, but all in love. And I think it was really big of him to go find help! Family, trust, and communication are all major themes in this short story. I liked how her family all played a role in bringing the magic of Christmas into the story and overall, I enjoyed reading this short story!

The Gift of Friendship by Mariella Starr - three couples and best friends all get the chance to spend Christmas together, but add in a missing orphaned boy, a gigantic Christmas party, a very pregnant woman, and lots of Christmas magic, will everyone make it through the Christmas season? This story was definitely sweet and I enjoyed reading all about Grady and Dixie, Max and Olga, and Trent and Gloria. For a group of close and best friends, they definitely got into a bit of shenanigans as the Christmas season continued. I liked that this was a bit of a historical book, and it was really cool to see some of the differences with modern vs older medical practices. The one thing that I struggled with was that this is a new to me author - all of the people were already coupled up, so this story wasn’t a new romance. I didn’t know if any of their backstories were in previous books or not. But I enjoyed reading about how strong their friendships were and how they all really came together to celebrate Christmas and bring magic to each other’s lives!

Twelve short steamy romances, all centered around the winter holidays. The variety of nice and the authors did a great job. Totally enjoyed the stories and averaged three a day. Some of the characters grabbed you more than others, but they all worked well. Plenty of drama, surprises, tension and steam to keep you entertained. Some really great endings, too.

This is a collection of twelve romance stories with a holiday theme. Each story is by a different author (or two) with different characters and different settings, so there is plenty of variety. The stories are all well written and easy to read with plots that are engaging. They also tend to have a nice bit of steam to them which is always nice. There were a lot of authors I did not know in this collection, which gave me an opportunity to explore. It also produced a list of new authors to check out in more depth. Overall, a fun collection which provided plenty of entertainment.

Highly recommended.

12 short Christmas stories. Each had an element of power exchanges at varying levels, some more detailed or graphic than others.

I found some of the stories to be entertaining, and others were pretty bland. I read this box set of Christmas Tales over a period of a week because I didn't find them to be consistently entertaining. I had to put the book down and read something else after some of the books.

Overall, an ok read. I would recommend you read this set and judge for yourself.

The Carolyn Faulkner story is a re-issue, which Blushing Books as per usual doesn't say in the blurb.

I'll also add that Misty Malone has her MMC refer to the domestic discipline he initiates as "domestic violence" for no reason that I can fathom. I have no words for any narrative that makes light of domestic violence or excuses it.

Twelve Naughty Days of Christmas 2021 is a compilation of slightly naughty Christmas stories with a theme of dominant-submissive relationships. The couples defined their relationship on their own terms, not to some societal standard, and not without some rough patches. The stories never got as naughty as the title would make one think. The characters were relatable and engaging, and the storylines were short, easy to read, and entertaining. Sore butts seemed to be the common thread in all.

There are twelve stories, and I need to say something about each one, so here goes. A Kinkirk Holiday had a storyline that included an element of the supernatural that made it that much more enjoyable. Home for the Holidays reminds us that old-fashioned and conservative does not mean staid and boring. A Gift of Friendship surprised me. Rest assured that the gift here is the generosity of spirit, which is what shined through. Holly and Mistletoe is an adorable insta-love romance story. Nurse Holly has her fantasies fulfilled by Dr. Rick Slaven, and she gets her happily ever after. The Shopper's Helper is a little surprising, primarily when a character uses the term domestic violence to describe the relationship between Alex and Alisha.

However, the shopper's helper seems to help Alisha with her shopping issues, and Alex uses it rather effectively. Note that the storyline in The Shopper's Helper does ramble a bit. In Christmas in Oklahoma Prequel-Big G Ranch, Delilah goes to a small rural Oklahoma town and finds the true love she was longing for in Joe, and then there is her sister Beatrice and Henry. What a wonderful tale of love found. One of the funniest storylines is the Substitute Bridesmaid. I had some pretty intense laughing moments with that one. Hooked on Noel Again gives us remarkable Celtic history, culture, and a delightful romance as Noel and Mirabel find love again. Ribbons and Lace has a historical storyline set in the early 1800s. Childhood friends Josephine and Benedict feel the pressure to marry, especially Josephine, who was content to become a spinster rather than marry. How they get to their happily ever after will make you chuckle and sigh. Christmas Orders is one very erotic and hot love story. Rick and Gracie's chemistry is palpable. Dylan and Nikki's insta-love story in Christmas Impact had my head spinning. Talking about a hot mess, but love triumphs. The last story in the compilation, A Holiday to Remember, is the last story, and boy, is it a bit intense on the discipline end of things. Victoria and Cole are very much in love, and, interestingly, they care about what others think about what they do behind closed doors as long as it is consensual.

While spanking is not something I would be interested in as a means of demonstrating love or passion in my relationships, it has been fun reading about it in these short stories with a lot of holiday spirit thrown in.

A Kinkirk Holiday by Megan McCoy
This is a short introduction to a new series about the Kinkirk family. They all live in the same town and the men seem to be able to communicate telepathically as a group. The men all look after their women and some are daddies and littles. The women all had a feeling of being safe. This set the scene for future stories based around the same town.
Home for Christmas by Constance Masters
What I enjoyed about this story was the warm family feeling at Christmas time. I particularly enjoyed the Nativity play with Lolly, it did make me smile. I couldn’t take to the character of Lily. She started some and then wanted it on her terms and her behaviour irresistible at times. It did have a happy ending though.
The Gift of Friendship by Mariella Starr.
This was a sweet story of a group of friends, one of whom is very pregnant. It also involves a little boy from an orphanage. Two people who had come from a poor background but who were now rich through their now talents also remembered to give to those less well off than themselves. A heart warming story.
A Holiday to Remember by Carolyn Faulkner
This story was told in two parts with roughly a year between them. There are also flash backs to when Victoria and Cole first met. Cole, a Major in the Marines, is a firm believer in actions having consequences. Victoria was well aware of this but found it difficult to keep to her boundaries. This was an entertaining read with a number of steamy moments.
I look forward to reading the rest of the stories. I received a copy via Booksprout and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Twelve Naughty Days of Christmas 2021 Anthology

Twelve Naughty Days of Christmas 2021 is a big anthology of 12 stories by 12 different authors. Each story is naughty enough to get you coal in your stocking for rest of your life, well maybe not quite that naughty but pretty close. I liked the way this anthology ties to the holiday song, Twelve Days of Christmas, as it was a lot of fun to read through them and try to guess at what would happen with the next story. Some of these author I read regularly and a couple are new to me so that was a nice discovery. Overall this is an entertaining collection that will put a blush on your cheeks.

This hot little book is 12 novellas revolving around Christmas. There are a couple of favorite authors (Megan McCoy and Carolyn Faulkner), as well as some new-to-me authors. I didn't realize that Blushing Books had done an anthology like this previously; I'll most certainly look for it again next year. The stories vary greatly, but this is an amazing set with lots of heat. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
