The bounty hunter babes are ready to celebrate Christmas, but are they ready to return to the sand planet where they were marooned?
When the bounty hunter babes escaped from the Dothvek planet, they took their barbarian mates with them (and some babies on the way).
Now the crew is returning to the alien home world for the holidays, but they're in for much more than a desert version of yuletide cheer!
This novelette features a feisty, all-female bounty hunter crew; gorgeous, sand planet barbarian warriors; steamy scenes in an exotic desert oasis; and heartwarming holiday festivities.
Note: This is not a standalone story. To fully enjoy the characters (and to avoid spoilers), you should read the six books of theBarbarians of the Sand Planetseries first.
I love sexy aliens and independent heroines. I grew up on Star Trek: Next Generation and Star Wars (and I adore them equally). My favorite superhero is Thor (with Aquaman a close second because, well, Jason Momoa), my favorite dessert is key lime pie (okay, fine, all pie), and I still lament the loss of Firefly.
I live in North Carolina in the US and have one husband, two teenagers, and two neurotic cats. I sometimes wish I could teleport to a holographic space station like the one in my tribute brides series (or maybe vacation at the oasis with the sand planet barbarians). :-) When I'm not writing, I love to paddleboard, dive, travel, and read obsessively!
I love that anything goes when reading sci fi and that is what Tana gives readers. The Barbarians of the Sand Planet and is a steamy sci fi romance series as are her other series. This books sees an all female bounty hunter team travelling across galaxies but put out of action by another group. Crash landing on a planet that is nothing but sand for miles and miles. I really like Tana's writing and her characters are totally believable. There is fun, action and so much more between the pages. If you are a lover of sci fi with sexy aliens and hot romance you will love Tana's work
In this short story, the bounty hunter babes are ready to celebrate Christmas but they are also returning to the sand planet their mates are from. Having landed back there and most of them being pregnant, they could be in for a little bit more than holiday cheer in this story.
I enjoyed this story which was a nice addition to the Barbarians of the Sand Planet series and cannot be read stand-alone. A fun read with a few dramas as well as a set-up for another story in the series (or even the start of a spin-off series). Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
The Bounty Hunter Babes and their Dothvek barbarian mates return to the sand planet to celebrate the human holiday of Christmas. The Dothveks are eager to return to their home planet for the first since they left. With many of their human and alien mates pregnant there is a lot to celebrate. Despite being short, the story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline. While this could be read as a stand alone, it would be more enjoyable if you’ve read the other books in the series. It was great catching up with all the characters.
💝 “It’s perfect. The best Christmas I’ve ever had.” ~~~ The Bounty Hunter Babes and their sexy barbarians are back on the Dothvek planet and it’s Christmas time! It was so wonderful to meet again such favorite characters!
It was so fun to read all the preparations for the holiday, and the gift exchange was the sweetest thing ever! And, of course, there were delicious steamy moments to spice up the celebrations.
I loved this short story so much! It’s heartwarming and sexy and so full of joy and surprises.
And that epilogue… Oh, I’m so excited to see what will happen next!
This was an awesome treat to have a glimpse into some of my favorite characters from the sand planet . We get to see how they are doing. and read about their families growing a bit larger! It's Christmas time a time for family, love and the best presents ever. This was a perfect before bedtime read that had me smiling from cover to cover! Highly recommend💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥🔥💖💖🔥💖🔥💖🔥🔥💖💖
Audiobook version This was an interesting holiday short story. Comical, sweet and a bit of spice. I haven't yet completed the first six books so I was unfamiliar with the characters, but it was still enjoyable. The narration was very well done. I would recommend this book but I highly recommend completing the books one through six in this series first so there is no confusion with the many characters.
Read this before reading PRIZE, which is where the twins get their HEA. In this book, the first human-dothvek hybrid baby is born on Christmas. Palm trees don't make very good Christmas trees. I would have preferred a longer story with more plot and less sex. I really like the priestess and the matriarch. I would have liked input from them about the new baby's future.
As Christmas nears, the bounty hunter babes and their mates head back to the sand planet to share in old and start new holiday traditions. All couples are here and their expanding families including one who arrives Christmas eve. We also get a glimpse of the Dothvek twins and their story is the subject of a future novella.
Quick visit with the bounty hunting babes as the first human Dothvek baby is born.
A Christmas visit to the sand planet has other outcomes than just visiting family! The crew is growing larger in more than one way as babies are popping out all over, and the twins want to join the crew too!
This was a great way to reconnect with the couples from the previous books, meet the newest edition to the ship, and share the human holiday. The book also nicely set up the twins' story. I'm looking forward to reading more. I loved the narrators and the switching between the male and female narrator reading the male and female parts.
These are probably my favorite characters! I can’t wait to hear about Holly’s baby and catch up later on the rest of them. Also can’t wait to find out what/who those twins get up to!!
Delightful short story, the characters are entertaining, trying to bring Christmas to an alien planet. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book 📚, as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
This short novella for me all the feels and of course, the barbarians are so insanely all about their mates. I am holding onto the promise that there will be another story about the twin warriors.
I've completed the series and encourage readers to take the time to read it. It's interesting despite the obvious "mating" of each couple. Each couples' story has its merits. I enjoyed countless hours of wonderful reading.
Nice reunion. Even though I didn't read it at Christmas time I always enjoy a good holiday story. Not a story to be read alone. Read the series first. Good lead up to the next book.
Good read. Glad Danica had her baby. I wished Holly would have had her baby as well. Enjoying until I got to the twins possibly sharing a mate. Not my cup of tea. I hope in the book to come that they each found their own mate. Good read good series.
I love this series because the friends are seen throughout each other's stories. It creates a real sense of family. Argh. I liked this short snippet, but it leaves me wanting to know more about the twins. So unsatisfying.
This is a alien and human Christmas 🎄. All of the human women are pregnant and the captain of the ship is the first one to give birth on an alien planet. Really good story.
A human female bounty hunter and her male alien warrior mate!
The female bounty hunters have all found mates among the alien male warriors. A number of the females have become pregnant already. The female shape shifter has already given birth to her baby. You will have to read the book to find out who is going to give birth next. Happy reading!
This is a short story of the Bounty Hunter Babes who return to where they met their mates and teach them the meaning of Christmas. This is what Christmas is all about.
Sweet, sweet Christmas read! Tana Stone is the master of weaving an exciting, touching holiday tale. It was also good to catch up with all the characters.
