A classic story of four young women who struggle to overcome the trials of keeping up appearences whilst battling poverty and awaiting news of the fate of their father who is fighting the Civil War.
This play was disappointing, the pieces of little women that are actually there are delightful as always. But half of the story was missing, Meg lives and never goes over to Mr. Lawrence’s piano, Amy doesn’t go to France or fall in the frozen lake, and LAURIE DOES’NT CONFESS HIS LOVE TO JO?!?! I enjoyed it and it was a quick read but I missed the whole story. Kind of nice for a stage adaptation was that it all takes place in the March House, so no major set changes.

Love Little Women - it is such a warm, lovely story. And this is based solely on the Little Women book, not an amalgamation of Little Women and Good Wives, which means Beth doesn't die! It ends happily! If only it remained so... 🥲
