I absolutely hated the first half of this issue, story wise. Because it did a big retcon to Spawn's Origin, if you know classic Spawn then you know that's now how it went down...
Then it got awesome in the 2nd half! Was cool seeing the new villain in action then learn, someone's back!
And of course the art remains to be good/great! Spawn art almost never dissipoints!

King Spawn is a solid story but if I had to only pick 1 of the many different Spawn titles I'd probably choose Gunslinger Spawn.
