This book is so good
Omg this book is awesome. A girl named Jade has been assaulted and had a hard time overcoming it. A guy moved in next door to her named Cal. She thought he was sexy from the start. Cal was an ex con and didn't think he was good enough for anyone. One day Jade for the courage to meet him and brought him some chocolate chip cookies. Cal loved those cookies, he also seen Jade and thought she was cute as well. Anyway the two broken souls became good friends , Jade didn't let his past haunt his future. She never judged him. They finally became more than friends and actually helped one another heal in so many ways. They are the cutest couple ever. Cal loved her with everything he had. He protected her always . The ending left me wanting more but omg is this a great book. Sexy , romantic and just awesome. A must read for sure.

OMG!!!!! Such a Good book! Such a Good Story! Couldn't wait to read it! Devoured it! Sorry I already finished it! Just as good, if not better than her first book, but such a totally different story... It is hard to describe, but it has some darkness with a lot of light! I Love Cal and Jade! They each had a past, much different from each others, but in a way, it brought them together. They brought the soul back into each others lives.... He was so worried that his past would define him for the rest of his life, but all it took was for him to met Jade.... and a tray of homemade cookies!

Laying it Bare Series
L. E. Martin must have titled this series Laying it Bare because of the emotional situations she writes about! Wow this book deals with 2 broken souls who have found each other. Their healing begins when they start talking to each other about the events that traumatized their lives! Very emotional, very intense, suspenseful!! I wish I didn’t have to stop reading it!!
L.E. Martin has a hit on her hands with this book and this series and I just wish that her 3rd book was already out!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a love story of how you never know where you will find your other half.
I enjoyed Cal and Jade's take very much!
Jade has been through a trauma and Cal has been in prison. She believes she will never feel safe again. He feels he will never be accepted. Together they are a dynamic and loving couple. Together they begin to heal. But someone thinks she is better off without Cal in her life and pushes the envelope to prove it. True colors come to light!

Awesome! Cal and Jade's story is so well done. I loved the instant connection between these two characters. Two lost people who meet at the right time and help each other deal with their past. Their story is a well-written romance that will have you cheering for these characters. Add in some sizzling passionate scenes and their story is one you do not want to pass up. Highly recommend! 5 stars!

This book was a little harder for me to read due to triggers. I'm grateful that the author notes that, so I am prepared and not blindsided. Jade Paulson and Cal Timmons, two people with troubled pasts, take a chance on each other. The author takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. It's all worth it in the end.

L.E. Martin is a new author to me. I enjoyed reading this book. This book was entertaining, page turner with a little suspense. I loved how the characters(Jade/Cal) were able too overcome there past and have a future.

Heartfelt
I really enjoyed this book. Wonderful depth of characters. Great back story for Jade and Cal’s past. I loved the instant connection that they had and enjoyed the ride to their happily ever after. I highly recommend this book.

Everyone deserves a second chance; from crimes to a broken soul do to abuse. And to find that second chance in each other brought Jade and Cal together! Loved it!!

Loved this book. Cal and Jade had been dealt some bad cards in life. Meeting Cal helped Jade resume a normal life and Cal realized he wasn't defined by his past. They were the perfect couple.

This is book two of the series and book two for me written by L.E. I already decided on reading all of them because I enjoy reading L.E.’s book. This is a sweet story about two broken souls dealing with different bad pasts. I love the deeper meaning of “don’t judge one by his/her appearance and everyone deserves a second chance”. The book is filled with emotions. You’ll get some head, suspense and much love.

Loved this book. The steamy scenes were perfect and you couldn't help but fall in love with Cal. I loved how Jade didn't act like a victim she took control back. This is a must read for all romance fans. Do not miss out on this one.

So far this is my favorite L.E. Martin book!! I want a Cal of my own!! This books has so many sexy scenes, some mystery, and some suspense! I finished it in 1 day!!! I love how real this book was. It wasn't they had all kinds of money. It was people living paycheck to paycheck. And it showed how hard it is for an Ex-con to get a job. I absolutely loved everything about this book!!! Fantastic book.
