I write books for people who are dealing with narcissists in various situations. I don’t write to display my knowledge or to brag about my credentials.
My books are simple and do not contain bibliographic references because victims of narcissistic abuse are not interested in academic works. They simply recognize the truth in what they read because they have experienced the topics of my books throughout their lives.

Dear survivor of narcissistic abuse, I genuinely care about you, and while healing isn't as simple as reading a book, I hope that my work will make a positive difference in your life. This is my ambition, and I wish you all the best.

Good facts and message but shockingly poor grammar! Okay, seriously, I haven't read many ebooks yet.....but I'm already noticing a lack of editing and proper word usage. Is it just a consequence of changes in how books are published and disseminated? I read one of the new Dean Koontz novellas and it was fine; just like the quality you expect when you get one of his books in print. Maybe certain publishers don't check manuscripts as well as they should?! It's very distracting and hard to ignore and the errors are so bad that some sentences don't even make sense. Is this what books are going to be like in the future?? I feel very worried about the impact to future generations and the English language.

Well researched and written.

Easily understandable and earily accurate. Signs symptoms, results and coping mechanisms are all covered. This epidemic must be brought to light so victims can break the cycle.

Painful but eye-opening

I love how the author has such a detailed example and explanation of different dynamics between the child and the adult. Usually books that talk about narcissism only talk about Narcissistic parents but w/o the context of the different dynamics between a son and a daughter based on gender, because society is organized around many gender roles and stereotypes. It got me in tears and and choking when I was reading some of the symptoms of CPTSD and symptoms of narcissistic abuse. This book helped me realize the strong denial and rationalization I had within myself and the deeply seater internalization of the abuse I endured. A springboard for my journey to healing. Thank you to the author.

Great read

I found my childhood in this book. I didn’t know. I found pieces of the story on my own. This book detailed what it’s like living with a narcissistic parent, and how to rebuild. Thank you to the author.

Worth it

The hardest book I've ever tried to get through but if you need a starting point this is it. I feel like I was highlighting the while thing. I would highlight what I went through in yellow but then she would mention what healthy relationships looked like and I would highlight those in blue and do comparsions. It was so well written and I didn't make it through the first few chapters with a dry eye. I'm glad this book was written. Thank you.

Terrible! Practicing psychology without a license. Many dangerous ideas here disguised with a little DSM manual thrown in.

By Ms. Foster's definition, nearly every parent would be toxic and all people would be cut off from their families.

Reading this and acting upon it without a licensed counselor could be dangerous to your psyche.

Short and informative book. Besides some grammar issues, I think this was a very educational book. It describes narcissism, what it really looks like, and how it effects you. My only major complaint was bias. It's written to empathize with victims of the abuse, and the language suits that, but I wanted to know more about the narcissist scientifically. How do you actually heal from narcissism? How do you handle narcissists in power? How does it develop? Maybe I'm looking for a different book 😉. Id say this book is for people who suspect their parent had these tendencies and is meant as a resource to validate and heal from those experiences.

Life changing book for me. After I finished reading it literally felt like 20 pounds was taken off my back. I have been doing a lot of other work, but this book brought so much validation to my experience as a child stuck in a literal torture camp, it allowed me to stop blaming myself for the fucked up things my mother did to me, and when given the opportunity continues to. Highly highly recommend this read.

An interesting read. Very focused on the behavior of narcissistic parents and how those behaviors affect the children. I think the name complete guide is a little misleading because it is mainly an explanation of the signs of narcissistic parents. However, this book does offer some tips for self-healing in addition to promoting seeking professional help if you need it, which I think is important.

A good start

This book is a good start on the path to healing. It also serves as good reference when things come up. Not everything will be applicable to everyone but it’s validating of your experience as a child who grew up in this type of environment.

Cathartic

I would recommend the book to anyone who believes one or both parents are a narcissist. There is many insights in these pages. It will be a hard read at times but also healing. This book spoke to my experiences and was well written but also simply written.
