AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'LL BE A BOOK 3 JUST FOR THE SAKE OF MESSING WITH US ?! shoot. this was going good but that last chapter got me agitated (and not the good kind)
I remember thinking the second book was stronger the first time I read this, but on reread I think the first book was better? I still enjoyed the second book and I think their relationship is cute, but I liked their dynamic a lot more in the first one. I think it shined more. This one started out strong. Showing a different side of their relationship now that they're together and it showed Hina's anxiety as Takaomi's partner because he felt like Takaomi was doing so much for him and he wasn't doing enough for Takaomi. There was also a lot about Takaomi pre-debut that he didn't know about. But then it started to do way too much. The idol part of their life was way more involved than I would've liked it to be. They both had very dramatic falls that made me laugh because it was it was too much. They also created even more anxiety for Hina when he overheard a conversation between Takaomi and Hakuba, which didn't need to happen because Hina already had established nervousness. There didn't need to be more. Also the whole Hinata coming out with his past as Hakuba's part seemed unnecessary I don't think it really did anything.
I liked the parts that focused on their relationship and their time together, but even those moments I preferred in the first one despite this being the volume they finally had sex. The art was still as beautiful as the first one and I liked the characters, but it all just felt a little messy plot wise. The doujinshi on the other hand? Cute af. Wish that could get translated.
