Jacob and Eli

Finally this mystery of Sheila I did wonder if there was going to be a ending to where's Sheila.

But I got to say I'm not happy it fulls on Eli's shoulders after all she was just a girl he dated when he was 17 they broke up at 18 days before she disappeared all he did was kiss the girl nothing more, in truth she treated him badly they was not compatible.he was blamed for murdering her he had 10 years of hell.then what do shelia do put him down as the dad to her child and dump him on him. (Did she do research and see he was happily married? After all he was all over the net) she planned it, she left letters I would of like to see the letters she left for Josie her son and eli, elis just told him who the dad kind of was no sorry I left him to you, would of been nice if the letter was addressed to him and Anna and a hearty letter saying love my heart I trust him to you so she don't come across a bitch. What about Josie she is blood and kind and sweet it makes no sense she would want him.
I get they are all Christians with big hearts but really.

The storyline was good really sad but I felt it could of been better,Pete loved Sheila yes he is obsessed with his wife but getting shelias child should of made him jump and bloody move house. Or at least meet him?
After all they are all Christians they did not act like it, it was all Eli broke my heart for him and Anna, in a way they have three in there relationship shelia will always be now. It felt wrong to me.

Heart Ringer.

This was a tough story to follow as I experienced grief and loss. Jacob's story was so touching, I felt his hurt and struggling emotions at the loss of his mother.

Kimberley did a good writing on hiw God can help you with your struggling of grief and loss, he is with you always, having therapy helps you control and manage the loss and take one step at a time.

It's a sad way to close off the Shiela story and to bring it back to Eli after his struggling with her disappearance with him being a suspect due to Sheila mum accusatory statement. Life is hard with that on your head but he overcame it.

Life's journey is never straightforward
or not challenge free.

Five stars for covering the issues of mental health and postpartum depression, its not a easy subject to write. Well written and heartfelt.

Have tissues handy!

This is an emotional and life-changing book. I encourage everyone to read this book. And not because it is another engaging story in a series where we all love the characters. Do you recognize that you need help? Ask for help and accept it-for the sake of those who love you, if you can’t do it for yourself. And be aware of those God puts around you. Look for the struggles and help. Or get them help!

Anna sums it all up beautifully in the last paragraph:

“Love was their foundation. God’s love for them. Their love for each other. Their love for their family. She wanted to always remember that love grew the more it was shared, and love could be the oil that kept relationships running smoothly.”

I’ll read anything from Kimberly Rae Jordan

I have read several series of hers and the New Hope Falls is such a great one! This book was a long time coming and I’m so glad that we finally get to read about what happened to Sheila. This book was one that touches so many things that people experience daily, and I feel most of us could relate with Anna’s strife over not being “perfect”. Social media is not always an accurate portrayal of real life, and comparison really is the thief of joy. I loved this book, thank you KRJ, can’t wait to read about the residents of New Hope Falls in the next adventure.

Dealing with real-life issues

Kimberly does it again, she writes a story that is based on the hard mean ugly of this fallen world. There as so many Sheila's and Jacob's and Anna' s and Eli's out there dealing with circumstances most of us know very little about and more that know more than they can carry. Novels with such honesty and truth need to be written giving hope that with the right guidance and allowing support in whatever form is available, seeking answers in prayer for in prayer with the One who created and designed you in His image, a peace comes opening the way for understanding. Thank you for the rawness of this love meant to be shared.

This book is hard to read as regards to the elements of depression and grief involved, but Jordan has done a really good job of portraying how these work out in different character's lives. I appreciate that she illustrates how to deal with these issues little step by little step so that changes slowly come. I also appreciate that the characters realize that their love and commitment to one another can be a solid foundation that weathers the temporary feelings of inadequacy and exhaustion. This is a very realistic book that deals with real life issues, not a shallow happily ever after.

Sheila's Son

This was a hard one in ways. I had read the previous story, so nothing in it was a shock, yet because I am grieving the loss of my own Mom (to age and dementia) I felt Jacob's grief. I ached for Sheila in a way I didn't want to; to believe your child would be better off without you, that's a bad place to be. Perfectionism and Post Partum Depression, yuck! I felt several tough subjects were handled well.

Wow!!!! What a great book! Hard to read at time due to the heart wrenching topics, but glad KRJ did! She ALWAYS presents things in a way that makes a person think!
Thank you Kimberly Rae for willing to wring yourself inside out for not just this book but for the whole series!
Great to read! Lots to think about, maybe even give us wisdom to be able to see some in those circumstances, so that we can step in an lend a hand!

Deeply moving story

This thought provoking book, sorts out the mysteries ! of Sheila and introduces her son Jacob. Not always easy to read it would be too simplistic to say that it has a happy ending. What is has is a hopeful ending with the promise that happiness that can be achieved by working for it together as a family through faith prayer and support of family and friend s

Excellent story just like the rest

This book was just as good and hard to put down as the rest in this series. I love how she wove in love being the foundation for solid relationships of any kind. She had her characters choose to walk in love rather than the negative emotions they were experiencing. This book was a wonderful teaching tool of how to follow Christ's command to "love one another".

A beautiful heart wrenching story

I love all of Kimberly’s books. I have a terrible time putting them down once I start! Her characters are so vivid to me. I love that they love our Lord and live life as his cherished children. This book, while being so much about mental illness, also reflected how faith and hope can heal! Thank you for the amazing book and the wonderful way you handled such a delicate and difficult subject.

Love through hardships and struggles

This book touched me like no other. I am struggling along with our daughter now. Her mental health has had a reboot because trying to figure out what works best is never easy.
This book lets you know it’s okay to ask for help. Your not alone. You have church family who can mentor and guide you, or just to listen. You are enough. Thank you for such a heartfelt story.

Happiness, pain, and forgiveness to help all parties involved

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the whole series. I've never read anything on Mental Health, this one had me crying for Jacob, Anna, an Eli. But especially Anna and Jacob. I'm glad that they stayed as a family. An that Jacob, is getting the help he needs as well as Anna. I'm glad he has a family that makes him happy and willing to do the work to keep him safe and loved by them all.

Emotional story!

I’ve waited for this story since Book 1 and it didn’t disappoint. I may not have wanted it to end like this but wow what a story! All of the main characters came to some very realistic conclusions that really gave this story hope. You need some tissues and you will laugh as well. Don’t miss this story!!

Love story

This is a continuation of Anna's and Eli's story and of course we catch up with many of the other characters from this series. It is also the conclusion of the mystery of Sheila's disappearance. It is a wonderful story of working through hard times in a marriage and also of opening hearts to new people. I stayed up late reading it.

Even though at times these were hard issues to deal with I think Kimberly did a great job. These are real people and they have love and hard things both alone and together. The people in New Hope Falls are well with getting to know. Start with book one well worth your time

Another great one for Kimberly

I have truly enjoyed all of Kimberly’s stories, and this one is among them. I can truly relate to Anna and Eli in so many ways. The personal issues faced in this book are very realistic and relatable. The ways of dealing with them that came out in this book give hope. Thanks Kimberly!

Should read suicide awareness story!

I hurt for the young teen who lost his mom, his home, his friends, and the only life he knew with one desperate act. Mental illness and the circumstances that cause it have been often hidden from plain sight as festering wounds like time bombs to break. Great ending. Highly recommended for adult readers.

A Love to Share is an emotional, heart wringing read as it is about loss, grief, mental illness, and postpartum depression. You can feel Jacob's grief about his mother's death and his struggles to see if he belongs after moving in with Eli and Anna. Anna struggles with postpartum depression. However, it's important to communicate, talk to a therapist, and allow others to help when you need help.

Emotional gripper

This is deep look at topics that are mostly brushed over in today's busy life. What looks OK on the surface is not always a true reflection.
We are given a sensitive look into real life situations that go deep below the surface.
Well written, thank you.

I loved this story

Sometimes we don’t realize the difficulties woman go thru having a new baby and their relationship with their spouse. We need to be more open to seeing the struggles in life and compassionate to others as they deal with life issues. God is our strength

A Little Bit Difficult

I could see from Anna's standpoint and have no condemnation. That was a big trust that Shield had in Eli, entrusting her son to him. What's more, it was impossible to believe that Eli rose to meet the challenge.

What a sad book about mental illness and all that goes with it. Unfortunately so many people have it to a varying degree. Praying all who are affected by this disease gets the help they need. Great story and I loved the ending!

Sensible, bittersweet and touchingly heartfelt. "Jacob looked down at the ball and ran his fingers over the smooth surface. Part of him wanted to hate this woman for being so happy when his mom had struggled so much. Why couldn’t his own mom have had the happy life this woman obviously had?"

hard to read, but also rewarding

This was a downer in many ways but it also helped to have a better understanding of depression and just how destructive it can be. Not sorry I read it at all.
