A modern day knight rescuing two damsels in distress - or is it the other way round?
It was great to read an erotic tale from the POV of the male and am looking forward to part two.
Smith’s Knights Errant gives a unique look into erotica from the male perspective. The book starts off with a BANG from the opening chapter. After that first encounter, I didn’t know what to expect, but I fastened my seat-belt and settled back for the ride—and what a ride is was. The story has quite a few tender moments, and some good family fun time centered around the MC, Paul's job as a medieval Knight taking part in reenactment tournaments. But Smith’s goal is to get the Paul into bed with as many women as he could. After losing his wife and best friend, Paul was in despair of ever meeting someone to take her place. So he settles on one-night stands, although that's not what he wants. When he meets Becky and Hayley he was taken with them for different reasons, but he never dreamed he could have a go at either one of them, they were too pretty, too aggressive, too good a friendship between them. They were just too good for him, way out of his league. But a man can hope, can't he? That’s all I’m going to say without giving away the plot. Get your copy and get in the swing of things.
Just because you are big and strong (six foot five, broad shoulders, rippling muscles) doesn’t mean you are brimming with confidence, especially around the ladies. That’s when you need not one, but two loving women to take you in hand and kiss away the pain.
A tragic accident has left Paul widowed and lost. Despite appearing as a knight in shining armour as part of a medieval jousting troop, he is fighting inner demons and chronic self-doubt. Enter Hayley and Becky, actress and makeup artist, who both need a man and are not averse to sharing. But can Paul cope with these two sexy best friends who vie for his affection and a place in his bed? Will it all end in tears, or could it turn into a loving, three-way romance?
Alongside this tangled dilemma, there are a string of murders, a dog that preys on vulnerable sex workers, a maniac with a machine gun and a mystery to be solved.
No spoilers! You have to read Knights Errant by Ian D Smith to find out for yourself. On your voyage of discovery you will enjoy a wonderful, sensitive, touching, super sexy and erotic story to renew your faith in human nature and warm the cockles of your heart. Highly recommended.
I loved this book! It's not just about hot three ways (although there's plenty of that!), it's also the story of a sexy Englishman dealing with grief and trying to heal. Paul, who teaches about metallurgy and riding--among other things--also plays a knight in jousting tournaments for agricultural shows. Paul is tall and brawny, but he's really sweet and is fighting anxiety and depression from his wife's death. He has finally recovered enough to move on, when two beautiful, very different women fall for him. Luckily for Paul, they're best friends who like sharing things. Luckily for us, Smith describes their antics in sizzling detail. ;) Make no mistake, this is a romance, and the ending is tender and satisfying.
Paul is a lonely widower, who is also part of a jousting display team. He is approached by not one, but two attractive women and the sparks fly. Hayley, and Becky are best friendsand the two main female protagonists in this amusing, and sexy little tale. I found this very refreshing as the story is told from the male protagonists POV. Can't wait to read the sequel
Paul is slowly putting his life back together after the death of his wife With his family they put on medieval shows. A chance meeting with Hayley and Becky and his career changes again. Loved the complexity of the book. Just when you think you have worked out where story is going it changes. Really kept me hooked.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

This book was a lot of fun—it’s not a historical like I thought from an initial glance at the cover. Instead, it’s a fun contemporary romp about a troupe of re-enacters of medieval era jousts and knightly battles—and a certain widower who meets two lovely but very different women. Love triangles are nothing new, but I loved the way this book approached it. There’s NO cheating and it was tackled in a really fun, sexy way.
I totally enjoyed reading the story and situation from a male POV. Mostly I’ve read situations like this from female POVs with two guys, so it was fun to see the flip side and see how sexy it could be. I mean, this might be a common male fantasy, but it was interesting to see inside it as a female reader, ya know? And Paul was always relatable and great, I was totally sold on him the entire time. Here was a romantic hero I could root for!
Loved, loved, LOVED the main character Paul. I can see why women throw themselves at him. A handsome knight in shining armor – both figuratively and literally. What woman doesn’t love that! Paul seems to have been lost since losing his wife. A series of one-night-stands and a lot of self-deprecation seems to be his routine until he finds not one, but two, lovely ladies (loved the character development for these two – reminds me of two of my friends) who peak his interest – even better that they are best friends. This is a beautiful story about coming to terms with loss and having the strength to move on and enjoy life. I can’t wait for the next book to come out.
Ian D Smith's Knights Errant hits the ground running with its sexy opening scenes, and the eroticism continues to delight as the book unfolds. Deliciously naughty perfectly describes the antics of protagonist Paul, with foxy duo Hayley and Becky. The sex is hot and the teasing banter between the trio, especially the girls, is endearingly amusing. But the characters are by no means one-dimensional. Paul is struggling with grief and guilt while his family are in the throes of 'starting over'. Even feisty Hayley has an unsettling past she can't escape. The bonds of friendship and family love are explored along with the uncertainty and insecurities of starting a new relationship. And all of it sensitively written with humour, humility and some laugh out loud moments – no home should be without a copy of 'Metallurgy and the metal-working techniques of fourteenth-century England'? I did chuckle. Knights Errant is a thoroughly enjoyable first installment of the Merely Players saga. I can't wait to see what Paul and the girls get up to next.
