College student Alicia fantasizes about her hot nerdy teacher, Dr. Maddie Lillian, her thoughts drifting to steamy office hour hook-ups as she listens dreamily to the professor's lectures. After getting a job as her lab assistant, Alicia finds her wishes swelling into thoughts of being spanked in her employer’s cluttered office, though she wonders if, being as clumsy as the woman, she could coordinate such actions. She decides to act on her fantasies and begins seducing the brainiac.
Much to her surprise, the determined professor reveals herself to be a surprisingly eager, if adorably inexperienced, dominant BDSM lover - so much so that, despite Alicia’s presumed distaste for spanking, she soon finds herself yearning for more play.
Delicious forays into sexual exhibition, fueled by the taboo nature of their entanglements, lure both women into forbidden union after union. What started as being all about the guilty pleasures of hardcore sex gives way to the magic in their kisses, sparking a sweet, caring romance that neither expected.
Unfortunately, not everyone approves, and Alicia’s mommy issues soon rage. Just as the two are beginning to realize what they’ve found in each other, there isn’t enough magic in the world to save their love, demanding the empowered young seductress find a new way to be bold.

She is also a voiceover narrator for erotica books, her books can currently be found on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes. Her books are heavy with hot steamy sex scenes because that's what her fans love.
Out of all the books I've had the pleasure of seeing take shape, this is one of my absolute favorites. Magic In Her Kisses is a slow-burn, taboo-teasing romance that brings together two very different women and increasingly pits their relationship against social expectations as lust turns to love. Ruan Willow has a wonderful style of writing that makes reading this a pleasure, and an affection for her characters that's infectious.
Alicia and Maddie are just wonderful, opposites in just about every respect, including what you might expect of their personalities. College student Alicia is the aggressor, the pursuer, and the more experienced lover, while professor Maddie is the one who has to learn about the pleasure of loving another woman and the intricacies of a BDSM power exchange. There's a sweetly clinical aspect to Maddie's nerdiness that plays very well against Alicia's youthful brattiness.
It's that power exchange that made my heart sing, especially because it feels so genuine. There's a lot of learning and experimentation here as both women seek to understand their roles and their responsibilities, complete with mastering the use of safewords and aftercare. This isn't a 24/7 erotic fantasy of whips and chains but a realistic romance where the power exchange is just another means of exploring intimacy, and that means awkward missteps, laugh-out-loud moments, and feelings of sheer wonder are all involved.
The erotic scenes - and there are a lot of them! - are beautifully written, with passionate dialogue and gorgeous visuals. It's a very oral story, but there are plenty of toys and spankings and body worship as well. Encounters are often frantic and hungry, taking advantage of opportunities as they arise, but when either woman has time to plan and prepare, that's where we find the Magic In Her Kisses.
In terms of plot, most of the story is about two women indulging their passions, giving in to their lust, and enjoying the novelty of one another. Emotional attachment comes slowly, in fits and starts, but once the relationship shifts into the realm of love, that's where the challenges come in to confront the taboos. Colleagues, families, and strangers all have issues with their love, and when jobs and futures are put at stake, that's where the line is drawn between infatuation and intimacy.
"I read a complimentary Advanced Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review." Magic in her Kisses by Ruan Willow is an age gap, BDSM, lesbian erotic book. It involves Professor Maddie and student Alicia. The story is trying to make a relationship work when the age is so different and keep from revealing the Professor and student are having an affair. There is a considerable amount of lesbian sex. There are plenty of safe BDSM situations, including safe words, safe signs, limits, and after-care. There is enough interference from others to create some stormy sailing. I liked it and give it 3.5 stars. I think adding more of the relationship struggles into the overwhelming erotic would have helped to even out the story for me. I did like that Ruan showed growth in both characters and organic evolution in the sexual experiences.
A very quick and spicy read. The first half gives a good exploration of the importance of communication (as both characters struggle with safewords and heeding limits). The second half moves on to explore social expectancy with age gaps.
I would have liked a little more variation in the sex scenes. Though location and approach change very beautifully, the overall flavour is hard and fast. Great for one-handed reading but a bit repetitive. If you read more than a chapter a sitting it's almost like a marathon.
Thank you to BookSirens for the copy in exchange for my honest review.
DNF at 25%. This is not a reflection on the book per se. The writing wasn't exactly my taste, but it wasn't awful either. It was more that I was 25% in and there was no plot. at. all. I get that this is a professor/student relationship. I get that it's sapphic. However, I got no tension, no plot, and very little chemistry between the two leading ladies (and the grammar wasn't great and that's something that throws me off when I'm reading).
I'm sure this book has it's readers, I'm just not one of them.
A common trend I've seen with LGBTQ+ fiction is that it's either mild mentions of sex or no build up at all to the sex. Magic In Her Kisses is definitively in the latter. Boy, is there so much lesbian sex and raunchiness!
So, if your goal is to read lesbian sex over and over, read this book. You won't be disappointed because it starts in the first chapter(!) and doesn't let up.
For anyone who likes plot and characters, it's tucked into the halfway point. That's the first hint of any major conflict. Sprinkled character traits throughout, but they rarely come into play outside of the sex scenes until about then. When they must interact outside of sex, I was torn. The younger of the duo really shows her age. The older one of the duo comes across as too demanding and exact for my preferences, but hey. If you like detailed and consensual dom plays, they're in there.
When the expected love confessions are spoken, I winced. Love? Hmm... Well, you love her body.
Magic In Her Kisses left me with mixed feelings. Conflicts regarding the age gap between them are resolved so quickly, they may as well have been absent. The plot is bare bones. On the promise of erotica and sex kinks, it delivers without restraint. With toys.
I don't think this novel is for me since I like character driven narratives, and this isn't it. My rating is higher than it would have been because of the breezy readability, and its bold and consistent commitment to its premise. And if age gap angst isn't your thing in romance, then surprise! It's relatively lighthearted here. Sometimes that's all you'd like to see in fiction: age not being an issue but an appeal. Really appreciate that.

This piqued my interest as I saw it was a sapphic, age-gap, student/teacher romance! Well…I should have just ate my food and minded my business! 🤦♀️
Firstly, this is just mostly an erotica, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing…except in this case, why is it 204 pages long?!?! It’s basically 95% smut and 5% plot.
Which brings me to the next point. The so-called plot was thrown together and not even interesting. There’s a throw away plot point about the student’s (Alicia) parents - especially her mum - not approving of the relationship. But not only was it not interesting, but as the book is 95% smut like I mentioned, there was no actual character development, both romantically (the characters basically get together in chapter 1), but also in their personal lives (especially when it came to the professor, Maddie). This made me care even less when Alicia was supposed to be struggling with her relationship with her parents. I also didn’t care when the third act breakup happened. They also have declarations of love at the end. Not only did I not care, but it just wasn’t believable as we never saw them do anything other than have sex. I just don’t buy that they knew each other at all for them to be in love.
In addition, the overall writing style was just not for me; it was very choppy and off.
There is one positive I can think of; I did like how the bdsm in this was portrayed. They had discussions on safe words, boundaries and aftercare. So 👍 for that. Overall though, not the Ruan Willow book for me!
Thanks to the author, Ruan Willow, and the team at StoryOriginApp for providing me with an audio review copy of this book. All opinions provided in this review are entirely my own.
My first LGBTQ+ story and it was wonderful ! The story full of amazing imagery of sex and love. I would have enjoyed a little more plot dealing with the initial seduction, but the trade off is spectacular sex. And the sex doesn't stop, even when the couple go out in public, for the first time. You can easily picture the characters as they develop, shifting from seducer to smitten, or virgin to baby domme, because you want to! Magic In Her Kisses is beautiful love story, full of insatiable sex and a few kinks that I would highly recommend !
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I am a lover of women loving women books and BDSM erotica in general. This was a roller coaster of sexual activity and exploration with a nerdy relatable older woman. The nerdy professor was so believable and her place in the book is where I was engrossed. These women speak to a person's ability to think outside their common box for erotic ideas and adventures. It was interesting the way the heart of story, emotionally speaking, was finally observable as the reader. This the first book of Ruan Willow's that I have read. It spurred me to check out other footprints she leaves. My only spoiler idea here is if graphic erotic/sexual encounters between women bother you this is probably not going to be a book for you.
I think I had the wrong impression of this book going into it which will make my review a little clumsy. I feel like I fell into someone's wet dream and was forced to watch every night. It is porn without plot when I thought, from the description, I would be reading a student and Professor falling for one another and the trysts they'd get into. Ended up being more like buying a Playboy but trying to flip to the articles? If that makes sense. Anywho, the smut is raunchy so, be sure not to be reading anywhere someone can see over your shoulder. I gave this a 4 only because I wished for just a little plot to breakup the sexcapades.

I wish there had been more initial struggle with that relationship. It almost seemed a bit too easy. Everything just fell into place too quickly and without any issue whatsoever given the nature of their positions. All in all it was an entertaining read.

I enjoyed the book. A wonderful love story between two women with a large age gap. One is a professor and the younger one is her student which obviously means problems. There is lots and lots of sex. Insatiable. The story moves very well. Good read. This book was given to me for an honest and true opinion
I don't really read FF but it was a nice change. The story doesn't go too deep but is very hot. The age gap was also different as the older woman tends to be awkward and the younger woman is usually more assertive.

This book is exactly what it says on the label: an age-gap FF BDSM romance.
The book is great in its depiction of BDSM. There's boundaries between play time and, well, the rest of the time. Yes and No's are clearly discussed, with the sub having the power in that discussion. There's aftercare. And the couple is in a loving relationship. The one BDSM-related thing that bugged me was a public play scene that was audible (not visible) to outsiders. There's play rooms and clubs if you're into that, but you can't just drag unconsenting bystanders into your scene. The domme is a novice though, so we'll chalk that up to the learning curve.
I was less enamored by the power differential in the relationship. I love age gaps, but it's not ideal when one is a professor & the other her student. There's a moment of Relationship Drama TM in the book & both characters' reactions only fortified that feeling for me--their behavior when the going gets rough throws up all the red flags.
One last comment about the sex. There is a LOT of focus on "big tits" and how they "jiggle" and "gyrate." If that (and BDSM) is your thing you'll love this book. If it's not…. well then you're definitely gonna notice how often it comes up.
I recommend this book to: lovers of sapphic BDSM and big boobs.
Sex and food, two of my favourite things. In this erotic novel, Alicia hits on her older professor and finds exactly what she wants. This age gap romance with the younger female starting as the aggressor then switching over the other female becoming a baby domme is delicious. I started this book a little apprehensively simply because the two MC’s came together too easily. No hard subjects got raised like losing jobs, or teacher, pupil relationships. But as I read on I got drawn into the story of Maddie and Alicia. A sweet love story was buried under all the sexcapades.
It was told from Alicia’s point of view, which is a shame as we never got to know how Maddie was thinking, feeling etc. Enjoyable read in the end.

It took me less than 24 hours to read Magic In Her Kisses by Ruan Willow. It's a lesbian erotica about a student (Alicia) and her professor (Maddie).
The forbidden romance between Alicia and Maddie was very sweet. I really enjoyed reading about the love that Alicia and Maddie shared. I especially enjoyed how Maddie would spoil Alicia at every chance she got.
I wouldn't recommend this book to those who don't enjoy sexually explicit novels, but for someone who enjoys reading a novel of this kind I would recommend it.
I really enjoyed this book!...and I didn't think I would!
It was sensual and sexy...not just raw sex. As a dude reading about a lesbian relationship, I actually could identify with one of the characters in the story.
I absolutely loved this book only sorry that it is finished and I may never see Maddie or Alicia again unless Ruan let's me. Despite being a 70 year old man who should know better I was panicking along with Alicia when Maddie would not let her in.
As required by U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulations and Audible requirements, I am disclosing that I was given a free review copy of this audiobook at my request. I have listened to the audiobook, and I have voluntarily left an honest review. Receiving a review copy did not influence my rating nor my review.
I hesitated requesting a review copy of “Magic in Her Kisses”, because age-gap stories are generally not my favorite trope. They are very popular though, and in the end I was intrigued enough by the blurb that I did request a copy. Wow! Am I glad I did!
Twenty-one year old college student Alicia fantasizes about, and puts the move on, her 40-something Professor Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Dr. Maddie Lillian. Yes, the good doctor has seven degrees! She quickly begins earning an additional, unofficial, degree in BDSM domination! And by quickly, think of a sex-fest lesfic story such as Meghan O’Brien’s “Her Best Friend's Sister”.
The student-teacher setting is perfect for an age-gap story. Author/narrator Ruan Willow had fun with the story, and turned the relationship upside down from expectations; it’s the younger woman seducing the older woman. And yet, it’s still the older woman who quickly takes charge in the bedroom, to the delightful surprise of both MCs. And by bedroom, I mean bedroom, school lab, living room, bathtub, and shopping mall dressing room. Please, do NOT listen to this audiobook in your car with the windows down!! Been there, done that ;)
Do listen to the audiobook (rather than just read the Kindle book), though. While authors reading their own work isn’t generally the best narration, Ruan Willow gives a wonderful listening experience!
Alicia’s controlling ex (Logan; Alicia is bi) makes a brief appearance via texts, but it’s her mother that provides the spark for the typical “break up before the make up” event. Unlike many lesfic books where the angst is inserted without making any sense, Maddie’s subsequent hesitation to continue the relationship is believable, and based in love for Alicia.
I enjoyed both MCs and their story. The only thing that bugged me, and it’s so minor I hesitate to mention it, is that the MCs kept referring to Maddie “pegging” Alicia. I checked in with several friends, and we all agree that “pegging” only refers to a man on the receiving end. Perhaps the author isn’t as lesbian/bi as her characters!
Easily a 5* audiobook; I’ll enjoy re-listening to this one!
I got Magic In Her Kisses by Ruan from BookSirens for a fair and honest review.
Magic In Her Kisses by Ruan Willow tells the story of a Lesbian BDSM Age Gap Romance Between a nerdy professor Dr. Maddie Lillian and student Alicia her student
For me as a reader Magic Kisses is a novel that is divided into two sections the first is Basically going from one sex scene to the next, while these scenes are written with sensitivity and full respect between the Alicia and Maddie, there is little or no character development throughout this part.
While the second half did have a bit more of a story line with Alicia and Maddie and the issues connected with both the development of the internal relationship,
As well as how family and friends deal with an age gap relationship between a professor and student, although this is mainly done through the eyes of Alicia’s mum, and seemed to be settled over a 5 seconds of messaging between them. Which did seem rather abruptly probably caused by the nature of the length of the story.
All this means is that Magic In Her Kisses by Ruan Willow is for people who enjoy an erotic BDSM, FF romance between a college student and her professor, done with seronegativity then this is for you.

Magic in her kisses is a book that comes out of the book swing and it comes out swinging hard. The main characters Maddie and Alicia embark on a forbidden love affair as Maddie is a professor and Alicia is her student at college. Throughout the book the two explore their relationship through sex and try to keep it hidden for as long as they can although they are not particularly careful about it. It leads to some rather predictable outcomes and while a lot of the book is generally written okay it gets super sappy when it’s not about sex. I did find myself rolling my eyes at some of the things they would say to watch other but overall it is still a pretty sweet story. If you want a steamy romance story with tons of sex and some cheesy but cute romance in there give it a read. It’s not breaking any ground but it’s fun while it lasts.

The writing and plot started off very wattpad-esque in the beginning (not necessarily a bad thing, and lets be honest, none of us are here for the plot) but stick with it-as the story progressed, I really enjoyed watching the relationship between the characters develop.
I loved how honest this story was in regards to the sexual aspects of their relationship-the uncertainty and the awkwardness and the anxiety which is all very real but very rarely portrayed in books. Its great to see a WLW romance that doesn't fetishize queer women and shows the sweet, awkward side to a relationship (also Dr Lillian is adorable and has my entire heart).
This was a really light, easy, enjoyable read and I had great fun reading it. This is one that I will definitely come back to. Thanks to the author for the ARC!
After Alicia becomes infatuated with Professor Lillian, she applies to become her lab assistant. After getting the position, Alicia decides she’s going to seduce her professor
There really isn’t a ton of plot, character development, or conflict in this book, which isn’t bad if that’s the kind of book you’re looking for. There is a ton of spicy scenes, though, but the dialogue and descriptions of the sexual acts were so odd sometimes, which ruined the scenes for me.
During the BDSM scenes, I was pleasantly surprised that the author discussed safe words/signals, aftercare, and discussion of limits before starting the play secession. Aside from that, I wasn’t really impressed with the book.
If you're looking for an incredibly spicy book, then Magic in her Kisses is definitely for you! I was really excited to read a lesbian romance since I don't often see many. I loved the teacher-student aspect of this book. It was super exciting and fun! Things I didn't love were some of the dialogue (words like gee and gawd that didn't seem very authentic). I also wished there were a bit more chemistry between the two characters before they got into the smutty scenes, that way it would have felt a bit more believable. It was a cute book though and definitely delivered the smut and spice! So if you're looking for a book that's heavy on smut but low on plot, you would love this! This book is really an erotica story that has been expanded to novel length. As an erotica book, there is not much story except for the sex that the two main characters get up to everywhere. I’ve read some of this author’s short stories, and the shorter stories were reasonably well done. This one was done in a similar fashion, but it became a bit repetitive and a little boring because of that (sex over and over). After 16 days of trying to get into it and only making it about half way, I decided to give up on it.
I have to admit, I nearly gave up on this book in the first few pages, but I am glad I didn't. It's like no other book I have read before. Alicia and Maddie her professor and also employer engaged in a taboo affair. What captivated me the most was the gradual evolvement of their affair into love the details in between you got to read them yourself. One other thing, don't read this on at work or in public unless you are really brave.
