This was actually two books, both of which were Christmas themed. The first one, Must Love Alligators was ok, not great. I struggled to connect with the characters and their romance. I also thought that the accident-prone angle was a little overdone.
The second Eggnog Makes Her Easy was much better. It was the story of an established couple. I thought that it made a nice change and I found this a quick and entertaining read.

Now I purchased this from the author on Etsy and got some fun swag with it. I loved the first story, the clumsiness of their physical relationship and her nerdiness just really made me connect to the story. The second story was a little bit different from what I prefer, as I’ve never been married so don’t always enjoy those kinds of stories. But it did make me wish that I could have married a military man, because I think I could definitely deal with that life. And both stories had the heat!

Chase is a medical student and has came back to the bayou for Christmas. He sees Bailey, a conservationist and employee of Louisiana Fish and Wildlife. Together they are bound to break something or knock one another out. She is Autre hoping to see Chase when they are sent to decorate one of the cabins on the bayou. The sparks fly and it gets steamy.
Short, sexy, and funny. What’s not to love. I read this in ALLIGATORS AND EGGNOG.

Lindsay, a teacher, is raising her two boys while her husband is a soldier and across the world. It’s Christmas time and her support group for single parents, even though she’s not single, she’s raising the boys by herself most of the time. She is missing her husband who she met at a Santa race years ago but knows he is doing important work. Lindsay is expecting to spend Christmas with her boys when she gets a surprise.
This is really short but so romantic and a little silly. I just about cried but my heart also swelled with the love I felt between these two.

Two more fabulous stories
I've always loved Erin Nicholas stories a day these two were no exceptions. In Must Love Alligators, Chase can't fight his attraction to Bailey even though they are hilariously accident prone. Bailey can't fight her attraction to the city boy turned bayou boy. The alligators just make the story more real emphasizing how important conservation is on the Louisiana coast.
Eggnog Makes Her Easy made me cry, sad & happy tears. Lindsey is an exceptional military wife even though it is hard while Matt works to keep us all safe. They both do the best they can to raise their boys and maintain their love for one another. I have a lot more Bayou Boys books to read since I started these two series in the middle. Great stories. Well plotted. Well edited.

Loved so much!!
I am addicted to this author and cannot wait for her awesome, sexy, funny, lovable characters and their stories.
Chase and Bailey’s story and their mishaps had me laughing. They are passionate about their careers and giving a long distance relationship a try is definitely worth the effort.
Matt and Lindsey made me realize that our soldiers sacrifice so much to keep our freedom and see that people in other countries don’t have an easy life. Matt trying to make the best out of the time he thought he had gets shortened. Lindsey’s love, support and devotion helps Matt do the job he signed on to do.
Highly recommend checking this author out!

It’s actually 2 unrelated novellas instead of one novel. I didn’t realize. Each novella is part of its own series, which may be fine if read as a series. As a novellas, the stories were underdeveloped and had too many characters to follow. By the time I finally got into it, the story was over. Almost DNF’ed.

Loved them!
Loved both stories! Alligators was so cute how they caused more pain than Delight! It was so sweet how they both knew they belonged together. Also loved how whole family protected the otters.
Eggnog was a heartbreaking story about how a military family's way of life is and their feelings of separation affects them, and how they cope. Excellent!

Two great novellas!! One about someone new in the bayou. Another that has a soldier and his family that live in New Orleans, Louisiana. Both wonderful and exciting Christmas stories. Always learning new things about Christmas in Louisiana.

Warm
I enjoyed these two Christmas love stories. In Alligators the couple meet and do not exactly click. But, their second meeting is much more successful. Eggnog is a story about a married couple with two small boys and Dad is away in the Army most of the time.

Heartwarming holiday stories!
Chase and Bailey were hilarious and fun and wonderful! Matt and Lindsay were a great example of a long-distance marriage and the realities of that. Both stories were great and I highly recommend them!

DNF - automatic no go (written in 3rd person)
I don’t understand why some authors continue to write in 3rd person, past tense. So irritating. This sounded like a fun book, but became an automatic DNF for me.

A Great Way To Enjoy Christmas At Any Time
The first story was quite funny and quirky. There was an exciting romance and great family dynamics.
The second story made me cry. A great portrayal of military family life.

The novella at the end is spicier than the main story. But both are cute stories with slightly oddball characters. They are so wholesome and sweet that you might get a tooth ache.

Loved this combo of two Christmas romances! They were both witty and steamy. Chase and Bailey were just that accident waiting to happen. They really couldn’t be in the same room without something going awry, but that didn’t stop them from trying. Reading “Must Love Alligators” had me giggling as much the second time reading this as it did the first time. On the other hand, “Eggnog Makes Her Easy” was a glimpse into Christmas for a military family like Matt and Lindsey’s. It was especially touching as well as equally steamy. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Eggnog and Alligators!
