Trenton was suckered into playing Santa at the mall for a weekend. Even with his caring nature, he's met by kids' tears and frustrations. Just when he thinks the day is a total loss, he meets a little who needs a special wish from Santa.
Spencer is a sweetheart with a good life, a good job, and good friends who look after him and allow him to explore his little side. But he's missing a very important piece of himself - a Daddy to love and care for him. While Christmas shopping with his best friend, he sees a Santa just waiting to hear everyone's Christmas wishes. He can't wait to climb onto Santa's lap and whisper his heart's desire.
This insta-love age play romance has lots of sweet feels, a dash of steam, and zero angst! It's a short, feel-good Christmas story to get you into the holiday spirit!
I live in rural Ohio with my husband and two sons who drive me nuts, but I love them with all my heart. I enjoy reading and writing romance of all types, but gay romance is my forte and favorite! Twice the sexy men? Yes, please! My books tend to be low angst because it hurts my heart, but they do contain lots of heartfelt moments, steamy scenes and a healthy dose of humor. Thank you to everyone for checking out my page and I hope you enjoy my books. Happy reading!
I still think of this book. The first time I started to fell in love with age play. It was a great reread, not as exciting as the first time but okay. I should reread this on Christmas some time.
⭐️ 4/5 — Sweet as hot cocoa by the fire ☕️💞 🌶 1/5 — More sugar than spice, and that’s the charm 🍪✨
Loved this book—it’s sweet, tender, wholesome and gave me all the fuzzy feels 🥹💖 I mean it's Jayda so it’s a given. 🙂↕️ But holy shit, that cover?? Nahhh, it did the book so dirty 😭 Like yes it’s about Christmas and Santa, but who the hell thought a naked Santa was the right vibe?? LMAOOO what even?! 🤣🤣🤣
Like bro, this story deserved better. That cover is absolute chaos. 🙈💀 Seriously, who TF signed off on naked Santa?? 🤨 Because no… just nooo 😭😅😂🤦🏻♀️
Feels kinda wrong to rate a book that was less than 40 pages haha
But for as quick as this book was it actually flowed pretty well, if you know going in this is going to be instalove and that there is no conflict. It’s just a cute holiday read.
I was feeling something short and sweet and this delivered.
Jayda is the queen of angst-free, sweet age play stories and I snatch them up without even reading the blurb. In a nutshell, I love Jayda's age play books. They are ideal for an hour or two of quick, light, fluffy, feel-good relaxation. I would seldom hesitate to recommend her books. However, I found this one to be too short and too rushed to be worth my time. It felt like she was jumping on the Christmas bandwagon and trying to jump the queue just to claim a spot in the jingle bell race. The story is insubstantial. The characters are undeveloped. There are too many forward leaps as the relationship chases the "let's get hitched" at the end. If the author had started this book a bit sooner, given it more time to build in her (very talented) mind, and actually written an actual story, this would've been great. I would, in fact love to see her pull the book and start over and add some more of that typical "Jayda Marx" flavour to the pot. This sweet story needs fleshing out. As it is? Not worth your dollar. 38 pages is just not enough. The book is nicely written with next to no editing mistakes. It's a shame! I'm sorry. Can't recommend.
Short and sweet, and exactly what I was looking for. Fluffy, instalove, fast burn, all the good vibes. I just wish it was longer, but novellas will novella I suppose. The perfect Christmas read about a month too late!
I had a blast reading this. Man Spencer is too adorable. He has the best friends too. Trenton is my kind of Daddy. Short and sugary sweet, this makes a perfect Christmas read.
Daddy’s Lap (Hot Holidays Novella) Written by: Jayla Marx
It’s the Holiday Season and everyone celebrate.
Spencer just wanted a Daddy to take care of him and Trenton just wanted a little.
This is not my normal read but I have to tell you, I needed to step out of my reading comfort zone. I needed something that would make me smile and Daddy’s Lap did just that.
There was a whole bunch of male cute going on here and this book was exactly what I was looking for, something short, something sweet and something out of my normal reading zone.
For meeting my expectations I am giving this book 4 stars; because I can!
A Santa Daddy and an adorable little with a selfless wish.
What a wonderful, sweet, funny, hot Christmas story! A little in need of a Daddy. A Daddy Santa who hears his Christmas wishes... one for himself, one for his best friends. Can Santa make his wishes come true? Come. Join Spencer and his Daddy Trenton as they find each other. Discover Spencer's sweet tooth, his love for twinkling lights, and stuffies. The perfect little for Trenton. This is one adorable tale. You are gonna love this book!
This was a short story I loved reading. It showed there are always someone special who's out there to love you no matter what. So many people want to judge you for who they are that they don't really understand you. Instead of seeing and learning who you are they want to judge you and make fun of or judge you. I hate those people love is love no matter who you are. My hope and wishes are that one day everyone can just be who they and finally live the life he or she deserves.
This was the cutest novella ever! I usually skip the "little" books as they are not my thing, but Jayda knows how to write quick, fun, hot books so I picked it up. This book is not only a quick read but the way these two connect so quickly and completely is adorable. They each want and need what the other can give. The best friends of Spencer are truly the best for their acceptance and love of his "kink". If you want a feel good quick read, you can't go wrong with this one.
Tropes and Elements: - Daddy/little - Christmas - Instalove
This was cute, sweet, and good. Jayda Marx has a style I find a lot of comfort in and the stories within them are always easy for me to read. I’ve not really read a lot of holiday books yet but this novella was perfect under 50 pages for me. Cheesy and Christmassy, which isn’t bad at all.
This is just a sugary sweet short story about finding a Daddy on Santa's lap. It's got instalove and lots of holiday magic and I enjoyed reading it. It's not as long or detailed as some of her other books, but it's a perfect little holiday treat that just makes you feel good!
Ireqlly enjoy the majority of Jayda's books but stories this short just aren't my thing. I don't find them long enough to really build up the characters and find the whole story quite lacking. But good for what it was.
This was just perfect. A fast paced but fully addictive quick read. This was everything I have come to expect from this author and once again I was not disappointed. The characters are fun and adorable and so easy to like. I am always looking forward to more.
You must have guessed by now how much I loved this book. Hey what have it away? Anyway if you love all things Christmas and love sweet boys and even sweeter daddies you will definitely love this read. Well worth the time it took to read.
I loved Spencer and Trenton’s story! It’s short, sweet, no angst, Christmassy goodness. I liked that both Spencer and Trenton are already comfortable in their roles and all that was missing in their lives was each other
I loved the story. Trenton and Spencer are perfect together and their insta-love is so very true. I smiled and giggled through the whole dang story! Thank you Ms Marx and Merry Christmas! 🎁
This is a sweet novella full of seasonal cheer, with a sweet little and his Santa Daddy. It's another insta-love story by this author, that will bring cheer to your heart.
I loved this short little story. A boy and his BFF are at the mall Christmas shopping and see Santa. Boy sits on 🎅 lap and asks for a Daddy. Yes! Loved it!!
